I am proud to report that I have completed watching, learning and taking thorough notes on all of Wondershare Filmora's tutorials, along with a number of third-party tutorials. I am happy to say that I have added video editing to my wheelhouse

Filmora 14 really is a gem. The company got in trouble in 2022 when they temporarily ended their perpetual license program, retroactively. Dirty pool! They caught justifiable hell for that, but much like Waves Audio in the music space, they did a 180 and I was able to upgrade my ancient version to FM14 for free. I've got some AI credits that I can spend on things like Ai image and music generation, stuff I can do outside of Filmora for free, but using the bulk of their Ai features cost nothing.

I'm amazed at what it can do. It was able to make alterations to Nephilima's face as if I had sculpted her in Blender, and keep those changes consistent throughout the entire video. It has auto tracking features and an auto-enhance feature that balances lighting and color in a single click. It can generate subtitles and even translate those titles into 19 different languages.

It seemed like I may never need to graduate to the industry-leading DaVinci Resolve, especially with Topaz Video Ai backing me up. However, I'm told that DR has superior color correcting features and template generation capability that will be worth the investment someday. It also excels with Audio editing but I have a old Pro Tools DAW perpetual license so I don't need it for that. The learning curve is steep, so when I do get it, I will focus only on the areas where it shines at first. In the meantime, it is far more important that I up my skills in Blender, texture generation and digital clothing creation.

I'll be keeping up with my content on this stay-cation while opening my shops on Affect 3D and Renderotica. I'll be bringing in a DAZ Genesis 3 character and learning to convert her to G8 so she'll have access to all of my assets for that model. I'm also obsessed with bringing in a particular video game character and to do so I must learn how to do it from scratch: straight from the Steam source. Once I have familiarized myself with the multi-platform technique for doing so, I'll be able to do the same for virtually any character and I'll be able to honor a lot more of your requests. That will be worth the time invested.

From there it's on to applying jiggle, wiggle and collision physics to future animations.
