cost of doing business rough cut that doesn't look like butt

I've watched it twice now and by golly I'll watch it a third or more when more refinement/the final assembly is posted! I'm especially interested in the resources you'll be putting up- I've been trying to mix in more 'serious' reading for my booktime and your booklist has been great for putting concrete words to thoughts I've had percolating and ways to explain things to other peoples who are 'not political'.

Right on, I agree entirely with the above. Another excellent video, kudos

As soon as this is finished and out in the open, I will be sharing this with teachers.

I went to a university that, every year, had a TERRIBLE speaker such as one who blamed The Jews for every problem in society, one on "the virtues of sexism," one on converting gay people. By and large the student body didn't know how to deal with it.

sweat beard and cool vid! I have been looking forward to it

Really enjoyed the video! I think the only part/example that confuses me is the idea of the White Moderate that is "on the fence" about reinstating the VRA; I'm not sure what sort of person this covers. I don't think I've seen any self-identifying liberal or center-left individual whose like "I dunno if we should do that" that weren't already well, "Moderate Republican" or "Independent" and not really liberal. Liberals/Center-Lefts on the fence about Black Lives Matters, Abolish the Police, or eliminating Student Debt or implementing Single Payer Healthcare? I've definitely seen many liberals where that applies to them, so that tracks. So I think that specific example (VRA) confuses me as I haven't seen that out in the wild.

Separate comment for technical feedback, but at ~32:35 unless its my Soundcard or something on my end that's the problem, your voice goes a little bit robot/garbled. Also about the next minute from around there, a sort of clicking noise appears if you aren't aware.

Congrats! After all your struggles, I’m so glad you’ve sent us this. :) And it convey much needed points damn well!

That Samuel R. Delaney quote is really something... wow

The idea of "there is no non-racist" is so important.

The greatest value your writing has to me is its clarity of ideas. "Being the default confers power upon you" is an incredibly succinct and articulate idea, in that way that makes it seem so obvious and yet I've never heard it expressed that way before, and I've certainly never thought about it like that before, but I know I will from now on. And there's at least one of these sentences in every video.

18:37 - It doesn't matter much here, but I disagree slightly. Republicans will happily condemn systemic racism *as long as they can blame the Democrats for it*. Family separation? Heh, you mean Obama's policy of family separation? The legal system being too harsh on black kids? That's the result of that one crime bill that Biden pushed. The fucking KKK? You mean the KKK that was founded by noted Democrat Nathan Bedford Forrest? As you note in your "I Hate Mondays" video, they don't really care about the facts, this is just a blame game for them.

Also thank you so much for creating this series, it has vastly changed how I’ve engaged with reactionaries both in my life and online

Jerimand vs. Malarque is simply *chef's kiss*

Just want to voice my enjoyment of the old-timey section. I think it fit nicely and works well. The only part that I didn't like was the sound, which you're going to fix up anyway. The hiss of old-technology recording is fun, but if it's too much it can be quite sensorially painful for a segment that long, so subtler is best for me and my neurodivergence.

I'm amused that you cut to the Vancouver Stanley Cup riots there when the voiceover talks about some American team. :)
