Yes, it's a 26 minute video on a single track because it's that good.

Also because we check out like three different videos here.

But mainly because it's good.

I mean, this is the whole package. We talk about the music, the lyrics, the dance, the theme, the culture, you name it. It's all there. So let's just jump right into this one and study this iconic track.

More to come of course, but let's prioritize links for When I Grow Up because that's up next! :D

Otherwise, as usual, let us know if you're curious about anything we discuss, and we'll see you all very very soon !

THIS IS MY FAVORITE SEVENTEEN SONG!

ahh my babieteen 🥹 wow they really looked so young in these videos I didn't know Mansae was this intricate, wow! There are a lot of different sounds and they just harmonize so well together. That dance is also sooo iconic, i love them playing around and just enjoying their performance (seeing the seek version, I realize how small that practice room looks, oh svt you've come so far 😭😭😭) And youre right, Seventeen's early era definitely had a young, teen love kind of theme. Each album has its own story, and you'll see how those themes and their music evolve across the years :)) not sure if there are better links for When I grow up, but there's this one from their shining diamond concert (might not be the best quality unfortunately 🥲) : https://youtu.be/XjRMCWyGZvY?si=GWdUrlT9xCejrQTQ

For When I Grow Up this is one of the performance videos where they have sub embedded in https://youtu.be/XjRMCWyGZvY?si=GKyTetgXv4f_N126 there's this anecdote about Seungkwan where they skipped the rehearsal and Seungkwan changed his outfit too early, making him wearing a basketball uniform all alone while the other vocal members are decked in suits 😂 they talked about it in one of the Gose videos https://youtu.be/uQsu66cFwQc?si=FbdxM6hdGd3WygV7 sadly I couldn't find the full performance video mentioned though. I will drop by if I found it!

Mansae is sang a lot in their concerts often. Love the one from BE THE SUN concert because that was when Seventeen/K-pop was introduced to me. My very first K-pop concert 2022, I didn't know nothing about these members. But their songs/singing/choreography caught my attention.

OMG they’re getting closer to reacting to Say Yes 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Sam sam (Lan zhan)

the fact that they can goof around but still maintain the choreo so perfectly that u won’t notice from the front INSANEEEEE 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😭

jumpingcat34

For the most recent live Mansae performance is the 2022 BE the SUN concert. But their choreography has changed a bit for the concert since they have to perform multiple of songs and they can't get injure so lot of the jumping parts are replaced. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kOFE6hZXJk

It’s so fun to hear your breakdown of a song 😊 If you remember 96ers by HxW, they referenced back to the Red Light, Green Light melody and I love that Woozi put a nod back to Mansae in a newer song. Ahhahaha HanC mentioned them as Happy Virus. That’s the signature of one particular member that even a song about that is made especially for him. Hope you’ll get to that one very soon 😉

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seungkwan is truly living in a sitcom 🤣🤣🤣

It's interesting that Han-C mentions S.Coups' look in the music video because in an interview in Bugs! (in Korean so I only have second-hand translations), Bumzu mentioned that S.Coups' image at that time helped inspire him when making the song Mansae because he looked like a high school baseball player. Also, yes they performed this song recently at Caratland 2025 and the part of the choreo that Han-C said he likes is still in the performance. They were dressed as office workers so it was really funny to see them perform this song as men in their late 20's - early 30's in business attire.

Seventeen debuted with such a streak of iconic songs honestly. Adore U, Mansae, Pretty U and Very Nice back to back ? Such a flawless start. And I love how all of those songs represent the youthful type of love and a fun/fresh sound without sounding too similar. It's the gripe I have with Seventeen's hoobae group TWS, who debuted last year. Since their debut went viral, all their following title tracks have been VERY similar to their debut and it's all starting to sound the same... I know having a signature sound is especially important in a group's first years but you can still find variety inside of it, like Seventeen managed to do. Unfortunately, the one TWS title that was slightly different kinda flopped compared to the other ones (which is a pity because Last Festival was really good) so they probably won't change their strategy anytime soon.

I think it would be Jack and Jill are the typical english names paired together
