One of Xdinary's BEST, and they've ALWAYS been amazing. They be putting us in ICUs through their music. This one was another upgrade as they dialed down a bit on the mainstream sound they were going for in the previous albums and went back to their XH sound (starting with Beautiful Life) :D they keep finding new balance and we are loving every second of this. I probably have to say that prefer the previous Album but overall xdinary heroes never miss, so I'll gladly listen to everything.

Ngl I was worried you guys forgot about Xdh lol. Needless to say I was so excited when I got this notification ☺️ I love ICU!! I do prefer it over FiRE but like Han-C said, they fit different moods. LXVE TO DEATH is a great album! Definitely a top contender for favorite. O.de really stands out, not just in ICU, but in other songs as well. But he really surprised me here and now I have a newfound appreciation for his vocals 🥰 ----- I can't wait for you guys to get into this album! Lost and Found is my current favorite ☺️ And as of today they have live clips for ICU, Lost and Found, FiRE, and Love Me 2 Death! They also did 2 recording behinds for ICU where we got the vocals AND instruments!! Hopefully you guys can check these out, even if it's on your own time 😊

Here's my interpretation of the mv: So O.de is in a coma/unconscious from heartbreak because his cat died. In his dream, he got the heroes together so they can go bring his cat back or so he can be with it. Everything that's happening to the Heroes is what's essentially happening to O.de's body on the outside. The lightning = the shock pads (cannot recall the actual name 😭), the dark sky = O.de's vitals dropping Junhan's solo is the lead into the bridge, where they are also trying to cross the bridge to the other side where the cat is. Then of course we get flashback memories of photos with the cat lol and the Heroes carrying its favorite things. But the cat instead sends O.de back with the lightning strike (love shock) bc it's not his time. It's a pretty sad but touching mv when you really look at it. 🥹 I read a comment somewhere that the director thought of this concept bc their dog had recently passed. 💗

What a SATISFYING comeback!! 😊 Such great energy, an incredible performance, and so much fun! Our main vocalists Jungsu and Jooyeon keep raising the bar vocally, Gun-il is still an absolute powerhouse on drums, Jun Han graces us with majestic guitar work and a stunning solo, Gaon spoils us once again on every level of performance, and then O.de - OH BOY! As usual, what a beast of a performer he is, but what an incredible singer he proves to be, with his talent growing with every album! Truly the star of this song! (And it makes sense - apparently the director of the “FiRE” MV felt bad for just leaving him just lying there in that one haha, so she made up for it by giving him the lead role this time!) Personally, I don't prefer one song over the other; I like “FiRE” just as much as “ICU”, but for different reasons. First of all, I totally agree with you that “ICU” carries more of the band’s “original” colors - that signature experimental sound that makes their music so unique and recognizable - but with a slight pop flavor to it. And I LOVE that! It’s a fantastic track, that hits all the right spots and just feels amazing to listen to. As for “FiRE”, it absolutely blew me away - a real instant favorite. The concept is polarizing because it pushes everything to the extreme: the structure of the song, the intensity of the lyrics and vocal delivery, and of course the aggressive visuals. So it’s understandable that it might not appeal to everyone, especially those not used to that kind of sound or style of rock. But personally, I’m totally on board with that creative choice. I really appreciate the band’s willingness to experiment and bring in influences from various rock subgenres. It lets them have fun with their music (I know some members are big fans of metal and emocore and it’s something they’ve always wanted to do - release a song in that style), and it also helps them refine their musical and artistic identity by exploring as many possibilities as they can. And let’s not forget - they debuted only about 4 years ago! Achieving this level of musical maturity and creativity so early in their career is honestly incredible when you think about it. I’m really excited and can’t wait for you to listen to the rest of the album!! (By the way, the album title is pronounced this way: “LOVE to DEATH” 😉)
