We've checked out so many iconic episodes from the 2020 season, learned that there are no misses for 2020, that even themes that seem redundant take on a new form within GoSe universe (in fact, they tended to be the BEST ones), and we've heard from so many Sausages that this one is one of your favourite episodes from this season...and yet, we went into Bad Clue with a BIT of doubt JUST because of our experience with similarly themed episodes/shows/etc.

Shame on us. This was one of our FAVOURITE episodes TO DATE.

So much so that I don't even have extra explanations, corrections to write here.

We were completely immersed in this universe, following the story, the characters, with beautifully timed comedic reliefs, and that perfect accident of an ending....fun factors aside, this was a wonderfully crafted film that we could watch, participate, and walk out satisfied :)

It may not be the funniest episode (uhm, let's be real tho-still hilarious XD) but it was definitely the most complete one to date, and for that reason alone, it's one of our favourite GoSe episodes to date :D

Would love to talk more about it with y'all!

If you have any questions, let us know :D

Love <3

I haven't watched the first Bad Clue in a while, so it was really fun to rewatch it with you guys! I love all the more serious film-like GoSe episodes, Seventeen is so good at this and there are more in the later seasons (especially the horror ones!)

To see Bad Clue blow your minds is really the highlight of my week. That's the beauty of GoSe, it's not always comedy and laughter, the members also get to show off their acting and the production creates an intricate story for them to play in. This won't be the last time you'll see an episode in this style, and as you saw, it has a season 2 (tho still in the 2023 season!) and that one is EVEN BETTER. When I first watched this it was really info overload at first 😆 But Im glad they do repeat a lot of the facts in the episode and they do a profile recap at the end of the first ep. Once you understand everything tho, it gets more fun. At first it's really easy to guess Mingyu, but i was like 'nahhh thats too easy', so I also leaned in more towards Jeonghan or Minghao (also the members are given different facts/secrets about their characters, so its really up to them when they get to reveal more pieces to the puzzle). CHILLS at the end scene there with Minghao and Mingyu it was so intense. Also the editing?? The direction?? Wow. Cinematic masterpiece But I also love the parts where the members' personalities also slip out like them getting scared of the lights turning off, calling others 'hyung' and using the wrong names 😆 love them so much About Hoshi forgetting: yeah that might be the case 😂 Hoshi is notorious for forgetting/not understanding fully the game rules or story (and the staff also reference this lol). But he's still really good at playing into it. Around this time, I think Seungkwan was recovering from an ankle injury (or was it surgery?? he had to sit out some promotions in this era as well), but its nice he played the reporter at the end. He won't be around in the next ep either but he'll be playing a special role 🤭 And the next ep!! Just a one-parter unfortunately but super iconic as well. A treasure trove of svt memes 👌👌 So excited!

the rope actually had the purpose, but since Mingyu wasn't tied up when the light was switchec off, that was why they couldn't figure out the real muderer. And the ending scene between Minghao and Mingyu was so iconic that I still had goosebumps everytime I watched the clip.

I love Seventeen acting, svt aren't just singers they are dancers, comedians, actors just a full package, just amazing entertainers, in the early days they did these adverts for something I don't exactly remember but they were so good!! I dont have any links for those clips (if i find them i will edit them in later like really tiny clips of 1 min or something) but maybe someone else might. Also I think you guys can watch episodes 36 and 39 together if you want. They won't give any spoilers for the episodes 37 and 38. Love your seventeen reactions cant wait for tomorrows video!!

Han-C and D-Some finally got the taste for Going Universe, where Seventeen and Going team will be presenting an episode(s) that will be true to the genre and theme and still be a fun episodes. And I am so jealous of you guys figuring out most of the plot and important stuff on the first watch that most carats gets it on the 5th watch. (We have a saying in caratland - Never understand the rules in the first watch but stay for the face and laugh) Bad Clue is the start point of Going Seventeen Original Series in Going Universe. Mostly horrors but we have some crazy funny sitcom-ish roleplay where usually the members are given the character and some back story to it but never the script. Meaning that whatever you see they are saying is 100% adlibs. Going Team will be controlling the environment and have the extras on the site to bring back the flow if they got out but the editing really superb that we hardly go out from the intended plot. “Original Series” here means that the theme, setting and nuance portrayed are 100% Going Team creations. May contain reference or cliche or even parody but still the production is original. Which is something Carats (and Cubics) take pride on. Anyway. Looking forward to the next one! Love, a Sausage and a Carat. 🌕💍

unrelated to this gose episode but our one and only boo seungkwan is hosting a youtube show/series now called seungkwans bibaboo. his first guest was leeknow from stray kids link to video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Xv7mPV10jA

These are some solid episodes, love how Hoshi unintentionally clocked Mingyu almost immediately based on his misunderstanding the info (very classic for Hoshi as someone else mentioned!). It's too bad Seungkwan wasn't in this one, but that's the great thing about them being such a big group, even if some of the members aren't able to participate due to other schedules/injury/hiatus, they still have plenty of members left to create some amazing content. I don't think I've seen the next few episodes all the way through, just the highlights from various shorts/compilations, so it'll be fun experiencing them fully here with you all for the first time!

Bad Clue was an information overload for me when I watched it the first time. It took me a while (and a rewatch) to get a grasp of the details. I think Bad Clue 2 is even better than this one because they played their roles and remembering character details a lot better. If you think watching Bad Clue feels like a movie, you should totally look forward to EGO and GRUDGE. Still a long way to go until we reach those 2 series, but just take note that they are absolutely amazing.

I know that HS were locked in when the first episode ended and they were the quietest I've ever seen them. Sometimes during episodes D'some asks Han-C something and Han-C takes a second to respond because he's watching the episode but he does. In this episode it was like Han-C didn't even hear him. And the way D'some was completely sure from the start of part 2 that it's Mingyu made me want to be like "it's not Mingyu you're wrong" just for the sake of confusing you guys. About the rope: to have found the culprit and defeat them, they would have had to have tied Mingyu up before the lights turned off. Mingyu's other personality comes out when it's dark (hence why he had trouble sleeping), so he needed to be tied and KEPT tied until the lights turned off. He was untied before the lights went off so they didn't stop him properly. I kinda consider this Bad Clue as one of the GoSe horror specials. It's just that good at creating suspense. And I can promise you - Bad Clue 2 goes even harder with lore. Seungkwan wasn't there and he won't be in the next episode (SVTside out) because he had COVID, if I remember correctly. But they manage to keep him part of the episodes in post production, like how he was the news anchor in this.

"Bad Clue" is a true standout. It’s always fascinating to watch them act, particularly in a much darker tone than what we usually see from them (even though they’ll always find a way to break character, it’s just in their nature as born comedians xD). Mingyu's performance, as well as the final, tension-filled confrontation with Minghao, are exceptional highlights. I really love this Agatha-Christie-style whodunnit format. It seems likely that the staff drew inspiration from the BBC adaptation of "And Then There Were None", with the little statues representing each guest. And yes, the second part somehow manages to be even more impressive, but you won’t get to it until the 2022 season! 😉 The next episode is a completely different vibe – but it’s such a legendary one! 😄 It’s only one part, so it’s up to you whether you want to watch it on its own or, as someone suggested, pair it with Episode 39 (which is also a one-parter).

i should sleep

Next episode is also one of my favorites, GoSe is really amazing that they manage to make things so entertaining that the time goes by so fast, its a combinatin of both svt and the production team <3 I sometimes watch others as well but theres sometimes awkward/silent moments that make it hard to fully immerse myself whereas gose each episode universe is so well thought through that the vibes are always there from beginning to end

magy_streetlight

HS making my Fridays better, as usual! Also, bad clue sausage fest when? Considering it's going to be only you two playing, it would be either 2 minutes long or 45 minutes long because someone forgot their role 😂

going yellow

svtside out is also one of my faves. it's quintessential crackhead svt being given a concept and just running with it, like carnival.

nightshade

The great saga of Hoshi vs Mingyu continues. Poor guy never catches a break whenever Kwon Soonyoung’s involved 😭 (i miss them)

Thunder Monkey

Lots of other group's companies watch Going Seventeen because it is such a big hit that im sure they also take alot of concepts and locations from Going to try and duplicate its success. So it probably is the same place that Ateez did their piece. Good eye Han-C! 🩷🩵🩷🩵🩷🩵
