OH we love Recording Intro vids SO much XDGosh we need this for every single thing SKZ has ever done.

Alllllllright.

So things get unnecessarily confusing and difficult again in the usual HS fashion, but it's not as bad as those you've seen in SKZ marathon XD so just a casual, "watch when you're relaxed ya?" for you all :D

Otherwise, very much looking forward to the dance part, as well as wrapping up Rockstar and getting to the more recent drops (seemed like a lot of you wanted us to get to it sooner than later, and we also think it's right to do so!), so do let us know if you have questions and/or suggestions!

Also, gotta let us know your pick for the Q we asked :D Voice of SKZ.

so, we were kinda discussing about music production in the skz channel and we were confused lol. I was curious if you would ever do a video like "what it's like to produce songs (for skz, i guess specifically in the kpop industry but i would love to learn about it in general) and what each role does exactly (mainly lyricists, composers, and arrangers; but i would love to learn more about any of the roles tbh)". How does the process work, what arrangement is exactly, do the vocals affect the arrangement, etc. I feel like it would be a very informative and interesting video idea :)

OOOOH, yes please. If just to explain the difference between composing and arranging because I was always under the assumption that while there is some overlap they are different things (which makes sense since they are credited separately). But I also just love nerding out with you two about music production stuff, so I'm always down for more technical talk.

I agree! Like a video of what all the different terms all mean and what it actually is, and how it’s done during the process, maybe using some specific song/clip examples?

As one of the recording scene stans, I love them because they give us that peek behind the curtain of what goes into making their tracks. I love getting to see the process behind the music, and especially in these recording scenes seeing individual members recording and directing gives such an interesting insight into their different work styles and habits, as well as showing us more of how the members interact with one another in a more relaxed/casual work environment. I also love the dance practice behinds and other behind the scenes content like the skz talkers but sometimes those can feel a bit chaotic with more of the members together, so I like how easy to follow/focus on these recording behinds are in comparison. As far as their voices go for something short/narration based, I think I might pick Hyunjin if it's in Korean as his voice can be so soothing and soft to listen to, if it was in English then I think I'd go for Seungmin since his voice sounds so clear when he speaks English.

I think i half listened to the last 3 minutes because I was distracted by the pinkie and the captions HAHA My favourite voice is, surprise surprise, my ult bias, Hannie! Specifically his lower register, the one that he uses for Leave, actually haha. It's very deep and rich, which I loooove to listen to, but also his chest, belt and mix are amazing. You two talking about what you'd say when you'd have Han or Changbin in the recording booth makes me VERY excited for the next intro (which is, surprise surprise, not a dance practice, but also a recording, of megaverse and cover me to be exact!). And also extremely excited for your reactions to the past two released recording videos. My favourite used to be the one with cover me, but I think the do it/divine recording is my new favourite (curious if you can see why) Also, the fact that you're surprised that recordings are many of our favourite content: I think almost all stays do love skz for the fact that theyre self produced. They tell us so many times that they love their job, so I think this is the closest to them doing this, their job (besides performing as an idol). And seeing them doing the thing they love, whilst having fun, making jokes is very inspiring to see and we get the confirmation that this is them at their core.

This is the first Patreon I subscribed to (for reaction) for 2 reasons - your understanding of the Korean language and your production experience. I specifically subscribed for your 2kr reactions and these intros reactions. And whenever y'all mention Epik High and Big Bang, I wish y'all were around when BI was still in iKON, because I'm used to watching Double B (BI and Bobby) production clips and that continuation of the YG sentimental sound. I only realized it now, that most of the groups I stan are somewhat self producing - Woozi+Bumzu for SVT, Baekho+Bumzu for Nu'est, JB for GOT7.. love them all 💚

레코딩 비하인드가 좋은 이유는 물론 녹음과정에 쌩목소리(?)를 듣는 재미도 있지만 쓰리라차와 멤버들의 케미가 아주 큰 몫을 하죠 ㅋㅋ 아무래도 멤버가 디렉을 봐주니까 좀더 편하게 자기 의견도 내고 녹음을 진행하는것도 없지 않을거라고 생각해요 그리고 그런 멤버의 의견수용도 잘 받아주는 쓰리라차덕에 훨씬 스키즈의 개성이 잘 담길 수 있는 것 같아요 찬이는 최대한 멤버가 본인의 느낌을 살리는 방식을 선호하고 창빈이는 딱 본인이 원하는 느낌을 잘 설명해주면서 디렉해주고 한이는 딱 둘의 중간느낌? 멤버가 편하게 자기방식으로 부르게 해주면서 자기가 원하는 느낌이 있을땐 딱 알려주는 쓰리라차 밸런스가 참 좋아요 ㅎㅎ 그리고 전 늘 한이에게 충격을 받는 것 같아요 노래마다 그 노래에 맞게 톤과 창법을 바꾸는게 너무너무 신기하고 또 잘맞아서 진짜 이정도는 해야 올라운더라고 불리는구나... 늘 깨닫습니다 ㅋㅋㅎㅎ😄😆 그리고 저도 인트로는 팟캐스트 형식이 훨씬 마음에 들었어요 멤버들 개개인으로 찍을때보다 여럿이서 서로가 질문을 주고받으면서 좀 더 멤버들과 쓰리라차의 생각과 노래에 대한 정보, 비하인드가 많이 나오거든요 그리고 텐션도 훨씬 좋구요 ㅎㅎ 앞으로도 팟캐스트 형식으로 해줬으면 하는 바램이에요😊

'Do it' / 'Divine' recording session is a must see. 'Little Things' I.N solo by Han is now on SKZ Record. The live stages of 'Leave' is gorgeous! Have you seen the behind Recording session for Megaverse and Cover Me? My fav voice from SKZ is always going to be Felix ... I mean there is a reason he narrates so much of their promo content ... I am waiting for his Audio book .... also I feel Lee Know would be great, I just love when he MC's I feel he and Seungmin speak so well... even if I don't fully understand Korean I could listen to those 2 MC or narrate for ages.

@2:16 - Han-C is saying he's surprised that the recording bts videos are such a favorite with all of us Sausages. For me, at least...... I have a son who is 24 yrs old. It makes me very happy when I see him doing something he absolutely loves. I feel the same about the SKZ members. They're all like sons to me, and what makes them happy makes me happy. I honestly get a lot of joy from that. And I can see that every one of them is excited to record / work on production. No, they are not the most classically talented vocalists in the world. But they have just grown and grown as singers and rappers, and they legitimately have great voices. SKZ are SO GOOD at what they do, and their incredible personalities and sense of humor are in every note. They are a real brotherhood and team, and with 3Racha guiding the way, they all work incredibly hard to achieve the very best results they can. All of that comes through in their recording videos. And then......having seen them recording and knowing the hours and hours 3Racha (especially Chan) puts into assembling everything - and usually by then I've already seen the M/V or a live performance of that song / those songs - I get the complete picture from start to finish. There's so much more meaning in that (for me) than if I just heard/watched the song with no context from "behind."

The woman you keep seeing in the recording videos may be part of JYP Publishing, which handles in-house work for many of the JYP artists. That doesn't help as far as what her exact job is, but I'm just mentioning it because I'm not sure how many ppl know about that branch within the company. JYP Publishing has their own IG acct and have posted things about SKZ (as well as the other artists). The reason I followed their acct is that they are more detailed when they list who does the computer engineering, instrumentation, digital editing, etc on the songs. Thats a difficult question, for me Lino has the best voice tone. My favorite rappers are Han, Binnie and Hyunjin (depends on the song, Hyunjins part in I lose my breath etc.), Skillvice Channie and Seungmin, the hooks Felix and I.N.

I'm here to enjoy this with you now. I'm excited. I mean Rockstar was a very short album but it's amazing. Oh yeah we're getting baby stays everyday. And I'm not surprised at all. I joined right before the five star album dropped. Literally April 27th 2023 is when I became a stay. I mean yeah we love the dance behind the scenes as well but I love getting to see the boys like give it their all in the studio. And I love to see the process and how they get where they got. And also listening to the guides. So I have a question there is a board that I've seen some men touching that has like knobs and slidy things. What exactly is that? Is that also something to like help with the recording? Is that a way of someone kind of directing himself just a little bit? Or is that something that's just in the recording booth for everybody? He really does seem excited and I love that he was looking for Bang Chan. Yeah I love this burgundy hair on Lino he looks fantastic. And I am noticing that that little board with the knobs on it is in there for everybody. But I still would like to know what that's for if you wouldn't mind explaining it. Oh yeah she was in the chair when you guys were talking about the recording lady Oh I thought you meant the lady in the yellow shirt. Or maybe it's the same person and it's just a different day now because now there's a gray shirt and a white shirt? I have no idea. I love seeing Bing Chan and changbin's interactions. I also love seeing bang Chan's ducktail hair. I don't know if it matters to you and if the question was only to Han-C if I could have just one member singing any line it would more than likely either be Seungmin, Hyunjin or Han because I know they can give me whatever I need whatever emotion I need that line to evoke they're going to kill it. Someone's tone is easily recognizable, and then Hyunjin and Hans tone are like chameleons they can change it up to give you what you need. Why are you so surprised that's been their game literally as they started. Oh there is definitely a difference between Han, bang Chan and changbin when it comes to directing. Dang how do I clip videos on patreon. I mean Seungmin in the beginning said that they were recording this before they even started the five-star promotion and for the five-star promotion Felix's hair was blue so I'm assuming that this is either right right before they started the promotion or while they were promoting it. But it is a jarring cut to see him go from blonde to Blue in a second. Yeah changbin is known for calling Ian Felix all the time. Yes all of the boys have different mannerisms in the booth and it's adorable to see. I love them having differing opinions on which lines are better and how they resolve it. Not you guys talking about trolling Han in the recording booth. Oh yes Here Comes changbin. I mean sometimes you just got to get a little bit low so you could get into the emotion of the song. He is so adorable when it comes to recording. And I love the fact that he puts his beanies over the headphones. Oh you're talking about just talking. Then I would still pick Seungmin and I would add Felix and Lino. Oh the thing with the microphone reminds me of what I do with my anxiety rings that I wear. See I feel like they should combine it it should be like the podcast format and then the behind the scenes of the recording and then the behind the scenes of the dancing that would be the ideal set up. Oh okay let me go ahead and get that picture of you guys making the arm heart.

If we're talking a regular voiceover/audiobook style thing, I think Han and Hyunjin are some of my fave voices. I had some of Hyunjin's lives playing in the background recently and his voice is very soothing. And I think Han just has a lovely tone to his voice just speaking.

unpopular opinion: if for audio book kind of stuff i'd love hearing Hyunjin's voice. His laid back, relax, a bit raspy tone is the best for story telling.

I always thought she was more of a sound engineer/recording engineer… just someone who has worked with them consistently over time who they respect & whose opinion they trust… As for voice… for narration Hyunjin I can listen to -his live streams are calming

Yes absolutely podcast and recoding part always please universe jaja When I always say or think this “stays really are here for the music” feel sounds cocky some how but I think is true, bc idk others boy groups or fandoms how they like, but believe me when I say the 80 or 90% of stayville love recording and intro videos, we really appreciate the work the members do, specially like you say, is amazing that they are the ones doing everything or the majority of the songs and music, and seeing and hearing them is just wow for me. Stays we were so happy with the new Karma and Do it recording, we really missed them. Is so funny see them joke around and then sound amazing recording, never gonna get tired of watching them. Like yes Han is just wow I don’t have words. For me for narration I will choose Han and Hyunjin, I think they have this ability to make his voice sound different depending of the situation or music they have. IN omg if you are impressed now in the new ones is wow, he improved so much AND he released a new skz record and so sooooo amazingggg. Han C finger JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA I CANT

Obviously i like all their voices. But i think Chan's sometimes is a bit underrated? He has such a warm, and cozy voice. Same with Hyunjin's, when he talk's on live streams it's always so soothing and calm. But yeah, in the end i like them all and it always depends on the situation.
