Last part of Rockstar "intro" series, but definitely not the least :D

ANOTHER recording scene video, featuring MEGAFREAKNVERSE AND COVER ME.

The perfect birthday gift....if it was our birthday...it's not, but..yeh.

Also, do note that this one gets MESSY cuz we forgot where we saw Hyunjin directing Felix (or for that matter, if it's even the same track) and Han-C had to go through all the intro vids, while I just sit there thinkin back to every single intro vid EXCEPT the first one cuz my brain decided to shut itself down and forget that sometimes they show recording scenes in the OG intro vids.

It's fun times.

Oh and nobody questioned me when I said this MULTIPLE times XD but I misread a few comments in the past and somehow started thinking that this intro vid has something to do with "narration" when it totally doesn't :D It was about Changbin and Han recording, etc.

I'm not sure if anyone has already told you guys about the staffs sitting at the back, but thought I will give my opinion on it, I assume they are the ones whose checking some of the pronunciation or the kor/eng/ sometimes the jap lyrics because sometime 3racha also like to change the lyrics mid recording and stuffs so you know sometime 3racha might be not able to catch up directly on the spot but I think they are there to like double triple check just to make sure nothing "mistakes" happened if you know what I meant, I think they are there for safety, not that important maybe but hey you never know, I think some fans might think that the company is too over protecting our boys but I'm actually happy to see they are being careful and stuffs because we know how nasty peoples can be outside about making stuff about "inappropriate lyrics/song" scandal for example, I think. Sorry for my poor english hihi just wanted to give my thought on it because I see you guys still little bit confused about them..Thanks for the reaction btw :)

Recording Scenes continue to deliver amazing content! Love love love getting to be a fly on the wall so to speak, not all groups do these at all/to the extent that SKZ do so I'm so grateful they're willing to share this much with us. I'm sure this only scratches the surface of what goes on in recordings but still, so happy for the bits we do get! Each time I watch these I catch something new, always fun to see who's snoozing at the back (I mean, usually Han but occasionally someone else will sneak in there), but this time I loved seeing Chan's absolute heart eyes watching his members. One other thing I'll recommend to add to the list (if anyone can find a link with eng subs, I did a quick search with no luck) since you're working your way through recording scenes is the Hollow Recording Making Movie. Hopefully someone else can come through with a link!

The docuseries is one of my favorite things! The prep up to a special performance like a music festival.

This recording scene has become one of my favorites. Partly because of 3Racha sililness during Megaverse, but mostly because Cover Me fascinates me. As we've started getting more music from Hyunjin's brain I've just become so interested in how he creates music especially for OT8. I already have loved songs that he's written (#loveStay is simply a masterpiece in my mind) but I feel like he sees the member's voices differently than 3Racha, and that is so interesting to me. All of SKZ's tracks are filled with layers, layered sounds, layered voices, but I swear it's different. I think the only way I can describe it that it feels like to me that Hyunjin uses their voices like you would paint in terms of layering, building, and especially texture. Truly I think his skill and experience in physical media changes how he sees music creation a little bit and so we get a very different experience within the music. And I'm not trying to discount Chan's own vision for Cover Me, a lot of the collaborative portion between the two of them was done during the actual creation of the song (where we were not present), but I would be willing to bet he wanted to see what Hyunjin's vision was as well and that's why he was using notes from him and let him take the lead for the recordings he was there for. About the docuseries, they have two so far. One is about LA4 and filming the MV (maybe other LA4 related stuff, but I haven't watched it in a while), and the other is about their festival performances back in 2024 (i-Days Milano, BST Hyde Park, and Lollapalooza). They have an official playlist for them on the SKZ Youtube.

One thing (out of many things) that I really like about 3Racha is the way they often say "just do it however you like" or "sing it in whichever way makes you comfortable." I know there are many songs where they are more specific about the sound / tone / energy they want, but there are a number of recording videos where I see them giving the members a lot of freedom to sing a part in their own way. Another thing I appreciate over and over again is how WELL the parts are written for each of the members' unique voices. That's a real skill on the part of whomever is writing the song. It continually boggles me how talent-rich Stray Kids are. As a fan I feel spoiled rotten by these guys.

If I remember correctly, Hyunjin is credited as both a lyricist and composer on "Cover Me." There's another video where Chan mentioned that Hyunjin couldn't be there on the day they were recording, so he left a list of things he specifically wanted Chan to focus on when directing the members. And that's what we see @23:07 where Chan says "Hyunjin left a comment...."

I'm not sure who makes the decisions about their Japanese releases/content, but it's a **HUGE** source of frustration that there are never subtitles for their Japanese stuff. I simply do not understand why they refuse to provide those, considering how many international fans there are.

By the way, in a recent interview (can't remember with whom), Felix said he's working on writing more of his own songs. He also said he's really interested in EDM, and in a just-dropped commercial for Gong Cha, we very briefly see him acting as a DJ. So......hmmmm......we might be getting our own version of DJ Snake at some point? DJ Felix?

OMG yes, Han (or whomever) snoozing in the back is hilarious hahaha. My all time favourite is really during this one, where Lee Know is bringing out his growl for megaverse and han just found the perfect way to prop up the round pillow to snooze against hahahaha.

Cover me is my all time favourite recording, just because how unserious chan and hyunjin get whilst Han is tearing out his vocals, Seungmin technically doing his belt in one take, but because he's the perfectionist he had to do three. And all the amazing voices by all the members. Its one of my favourite songs, so I love it when I get recording videos for those. I think its also the first time I noticed that they showed us the harmonies they have in these songs, which i looooove to hear and learn who did them. About what you say about Lee Know (and Chan, but what im about to say doesnt apply to him because he directs himself haha), I heard someone once say that Lee Know is so good in taking up direction from whomever is directing him and I really really agree. In here i saw that Chan only has to say one thing and he does it. And then he finds something else and Lee know corrects it as well. I think thats an insane skill to have, I dont know if i could, to be honest. So happy you reacted to this and i had a good laugh about the confusion hahahaha. I have no preference about the other stuff, just extremely excited for the other recording behinds, because 3racha had fun as always hahaha

I think I've heard that the restrictions on Japanese content come more from Japan's end and their various rules/regulations vs on the company's end, unfortunately.

I could have sworn that you did the Docuseries already - isn't that the Milan/London/Chicago concert thing or are Sausages speaking about another one that I've forgotten about? (In Collections SKZ Performance/Making/Extra - you did Docuseries ep 1 and 2) - but I don't recall if there was something after that. I love these recording behinds. It makes me so proud of Vocalracha. - all 8 of them

I was also confused for a moment because I couldn't remember Docuseries episodes outside of the ones for festivals but I looked it up again and there's also the 5-STAR Dome Tour 2023 Seoul Special one and a shorter episode for LA4 MV (link: https://youtu.be/Zk1-fEcMciQ?si=bghk5jplao0Ic3fE)

I’d love to see you react to more SKZ mashups, as I remember you started reacting to them around the Ate era, for me the 5-stars mashup is honestly the GOAT, check out the ones for the older albums too (compilation of mashup video if it possible). I'm kinda curious to see your impressions of the mashup video, assuming you had no knowledge of the song before the album's release

LMAO yes you guys forgot that the first INTRO video had clips of the recording behinds. So yes you’ve seen some of it before and yes Hyunjin was talking about how he had other schedules so wasn’t able to be there for the full thing but wrote a bunch of notes for all the members parts. I absolutely love all the recording behinds. I love hearing their raw vocals but also love the directing and chemistry between 3RACHA and the members. Shoutout to Han sleeping on that random pillow in the back like a G LOL professional “I sleep anywhere” sleeper 😂 but YES I also agree that Bang Chan should be on Lee Mujin. His voice is so pure just like how Han mentioned for MESS recording. And YES I saw an edit of the different members in the recording behinds with what they each consistently does. If I find it I’ll link it 😂

Another great recording behind! I can never get enough of this skz. As you said, love hearing their voices in this setting and learning their recording/working styles, little quirks and all that. I have to say, I also get confused at times about what you hae reacted to, and what not lol. But about the Docuseries there is 2 parts that you haven't checked out yet which is: 1) a mini docu episode for the la4 mv (link: https://youtu.be/Zk1-fEcMciQ?si=plAgfr9abTVOkf88). It is kind of an intro for the mv making. 2) 5-STAR Dome Tour 2023 Seoul Special (link: https://youtu.be/ek0MR0qmYUc?si=2kXmjfK3F0xZ83Vg) which is the bts of the unveil concert that happend shortly before Rockstar release. It was a teaser for the upcoming album, and they revealed Blind Spot, Megaverse and Leave for the first time there (someone correct me if i'm wrong). It's up to you if you want to react to it, because it doesn't have to do anything with la4 but there are some rockstar songs. edit: just realized that you haven't checked out the Docuseries Episodes for Lolla 2023 either! Another fun thing to check out if you haven't yet would be the la4 dance practice! It's great to see the whole choreo! Or a music show performance sounds great too if you want a stage performance :)

OMG YES Bang Chan on Lee Mujin Service would be awesome!! I don't know why they bother blurring Versachoi when he is in the studio, cause by this point I am sure most of us recognise him, especially after he was unblurred in the Kingdom behind the scenes. Hyunjin mentioned in the intro video how he had conflicting activities when most of the members recorded 'Cover Me' .. that is why he left notes for Bang Chan and was only present at the recording sessions for Felix and Han. The amount of effort that goes into a short ad lib to get it perfect always amazes me ... the small details in SKZ tracks are truely something special.

While it could be the case, I took some time to look into this after Sausages first mentioned it, and I found that pretty regularly, other people are credited as for recording SKZ songs in the studio. I would assume that the specifics are, Chan, or Hyunjin in Cover Me's case are doing the "vocal directing" and that is what we are shown, and the woman to their right is doing the recording for that session. For Megaverse and Cover Me, the person credited for recording is Gu Hyejin. Official credits I found online are listed as: Recorded by Gu Hyejin @ JYPE Studios, Bang Chan (3RACHA) @ 찬이의 "방" (Channie's "Room").

At the beginning of Cover Me they noted Hyunjin had a scheduling conflict so Chan had to oversee the production on day 1. Chan even says that Hyunjin left him all his notes on for the recording. For everything Hyunjin and Chan have said this is mainly a Hyunjin track but of course they are collaborative. It was Hyunjin's first group track that he wrote for a Korean album. He had DLMLU on a Japanese album too.

First off, YES to Chan on Lee Mujin! The man needs to take more singing for himself in general too, he's such an amazing singer. The recordings will forever be my favourite skz content they gift us. I'm so fascinated by how they work, and 3racha's different styles (and seriously baffled by how they ever get anything done, goofballs lol) I'm also extremely ready for seeing Hyunjin directing them more. I love how he's got such a clear vision of how he wants it. And watching Chan and Hyunjin directing eachother, I am reminded how much I neeeeeeed you to get to their 2KR episode as soon as possible. I would have had so much to comment on their part here, but I can't 😆

I love that you're actually starting the Stray kids videos like that D'some. Oh my love, it's the prologue that they're talking about. I could have sworn you guys reacted to it actually. I love that you guys are starting to notice the woman in the back now. I find it interesting that even though Han is directing this part it's bang Chan that's giving the constructive criticism. It is definitely super interesting to see the other members creating the guides and then having to sing over it again. Honestly a little salty that they didn't show the sunshine Duo hugging. Like why did they have to cut it right there. Binnie is so ridiculously adorable in the recording studio. Like when he's hyper it is hilarious. I agree that speechless Reckless is definitely meant for Seungmin. Yes the guide for this part was bang Chan. Honest so ridiculously adorable with his beanie. And then the way he holds his mouth after he says his line is so ridiculously cute. I love recording studio Bang Chan. He either has the tank tops or he has the beanie or he has the cute curly messy hair. Like he is so ridiculously cute. Same way about oh my goodness yes he definitely needs to be on the Lee Mujin service. I love the huskiness or raspiness and Lino's voice when he says that line. I'm crying not you making them people I.Ns parents. It really did jump quickly to the next song. Oh we're at the very iconic part. One shot one kill. Another day perfectionist Seungmin. Oh yes vocal Binnie. It really is so adorable when they're looking to the director for direction. The vocal fry that they practice had my mind going berserk. I.N's voice is so beautiful. You guys mentioning Hyunjin and I'm sitting here like give it a second. My goodness this hair color on Lino is magnificent. I love him too Han-C. Oh goodness this part. I love this part. Not you making Han-C racist D'some. I love Chan's dedication to the bit of him wearing his hat over his headphones. Even if it doesn't fit. Hyunjin's eyes are so deep into this song and it's precious. I'm cryingI'm crying. Licking your ear hole?!? For all intents and purposes that is his son. That dough is definitely a Hyunjin like pronunciation. Helen is literally the most precious being I have ever seen in my life. Oh this part is so good. Honestly this took me back to the hellevator days. Also I love this hair color on him. He is so precious. you can see the worry on his face. I love how genuinely confused you guys are. No you guys aren't stupid. To be honest I need a limousine service for the rest of the members but it definitely should start with bang Chan. Because homie does not get nearly enough praise that he should be getting. And yes he does try to let the members shine more so he takes a back seat when it comes to the vocals but even the small parts that he does you can hear the magnificence in them. Honestly we definitely want a Lino single. A lino skz record is always going to eat. We actively lost our minds when he released his cover of Love Me or Leave Me. And he sounded fanfuckingtastic.
