Steps away from their debut project, SEVENTEEN members must face one last mission :D

And this mission, apparently is a tear jerker :')

a WILD ride, this one, so we suggest you fasten your seatbelt XD

Beautifully balanced episode that blends performance and exposition with style :) we really loved the way they wrapped up all the "missions", and prepped us for the final showcase. I mean, some hiccups were inevitable XD especially with the rings, but it was wonderful to see the young fetusteen reunite with their family :)

Oh, also, we finally got it: the "reward" for the previous mission applied to THIS showcase, not the final showcase. Sigh, what a confusing structure XDXD

OKAY.

Either way, one more to go, and we'll be getting to this very soon (esp with SVT's One Fine Day going on now), so see you all in that one :D

Love <3

Oh I cried. I cried so much, AGAIN. There was so much I was preparing to say since I make little notes in my head about stuff you comment and explain but honestly it was all swept away from me the second Joshua started crying. I just couldn't think. It's so touching and meaningful to them. Their parents supported them throughout all these years. Scoups, being trainee the longest out of all of them, had tried to quit multiple times and one time his father told him, okay, and they packed his stuff and drove back to Daegu, but then his father convinced him to go back and try again. Minghao's mother gave him her jewelry because his parents couldn't come with him to Korea and told him to sell it if he's in trouble. All of the parents supported them and encouraged them and they're the reason we have the Seventeen we have today. I just feel so overcome whenever I think about it. Little things: - Woozi really doesn't cry a lot, and Jeonghan somehow cries even less. But Woozi's burden as the producer, it really makes you appreciate each and every track that he made to make Seventeen who they are. - I really liked your idea of hunger games for the one true ring. Seventeen would laugh if they heard that. - The series really deepens your understanding of them and how they came to be. - Scoups really was so young as the leader. He was supposed to be the maknae of this other group whose debut got cancelled, and then became the leader due to being the most experienced and older. But he said he doesn't feel like a good leader, at the beginning. It clashed with his nature, being the youngest at home. But like you saw he really did his best to become a cool respectable hyung that leads Seventeen well into their 11th year now, still going strong. I probably have other stuff I wanted to say but I forgot because of all the crying. I'm really glad you got to this episode, I've been looking forward to it.

Such a great episode. Scoups is truly best leader, even if he doubts himself sometimes. Not only for svt, but also for carats too. He always reassures us that the team will stay together. He even jokes that if members run away, he will catch them

Priyanka Banerjee

"Oh to shoot singles inferno" I laughed so hard I like snorted lmao

Ariel Farah

What a lovely Monday surprise!

reginamva

"Hoshi looks the same as his father" wait until you see his mom 😂 even they themselves have joked about it on gose

Priyanka Banerjee

Waah this always makes me cry ㅠㅠㅠㅠ P.S. The sokcho beach thingy, if someone changes, let's come back here and throw them in. They actually kinda recreated it and joked around it during the right here concert haha. Where members say I have changed and jump into a low raise stage haha. (if i remeber right haha) Also I think their spill the feels album also had a poster similar to the way they say by the beach here hehe.

Scoups really is the best leader not only for the group but also for carats. Despite him being the maknae in his family, he matured so much just so to be the best he could be. I'd say the same for both Woozi & Hoshi coz for them to be leaders at such a young age is too much pressure & burdensome but they did their best. Everything they went through in this show built their foundation in accepting constructive criticisms, character development, be comfortable with changes that helps them show their best & ofc being comfortable & open with each other. the scene at the sokcho ocean is actually one that the boys always tell carats. it's one they use to assure us that seventeen will always be 13 forever aside from leader-nim scoups pulling anyone back who wants to leave. what they went through is the main reason they've been so humble til now coz they've put their everything on the line just to get where they are today.

ahhh what a great surprise!! having watched this a couple times already, I thought I’d be fine, but I fear I shed a few tears again when the parents appeared haha

ponchi

Thunder Monkey

Wonu's mom! 😭😭😭💔💔💔

When they were trainees, Scoups was a very strict leader and the members would be scared but he started realising how important it was to be on an equal level so he started making himself look a little foolish sometimes too so everyone would be comfortable🥹 which is very cute because there’s videos from the green basement of the members scared shitless of him and now he gets teased endlessly by them!

Seventeen’s parents seem like the closest idol parents I’ve ever come across! They’re always together too, Jeonghan and Mingyu’s sisters are the same age and best friends, all of the parents are best friends and show up for each other’s children, they even have their own outings and they assign dino’s parents to be the organisers and money holders (which is cute because dino also gets the same job with svt)

S.Coups mentioned wanting a moment for them to gather and talk during the campfire and they actually did end up implementing it ! In their early years, they would regularly hold meetings before going to sleep to work out any arguments or disagreements that happened during the day. And when they were promoting a track, they would hold one every day without fail, no matter how exhausted they were from their hectic schedules and lack of sleep because they knew the stress of promotions made them more sensitive and prone to impulsive reactions. Seventeen really made their teamwork a priority from day one.

i always love how close the parents are with each other and with each of the boys. they’re always talking about hanging out with a member’s parents without that member present 😭 and the parents always always sit together when attending seventeen concerts. i love the family dynamic between not just seventeen members themselves but with their families as well. it’s like they all merged together and created one big mega family LOL

chkanpi

As far as I know, Super Junior and SVT have some of the biggest and closest bonds among K-pop groups

Mia

Was going to say this! I attended the Right Here tour but this is my first time watching 17 Project, now I finally understand the reference 😭

amiey ieyra

Watching this again in 2026, when Seventeen is already at the peak of their success totally feels different. They really come a long way, and deserve every success comes their way.

Yess!! I agree the Docu ep1 specifically it will answer their questions about Seventeen TV and everything pre debut

The campfire was really special, wasn’t it? John-han was crying on stage, but his dad was peeking in at him. I’m pretty sure his dad, who used to be strict about his studies, wasn’t very keen on it at first, and apparently he wasn’t too keen on the long hair either. It’s amazing he didn’t give up, even though he wasn’t actually singing or dancing… oh, I’m getting teary-eyed 👼 Mingyu’s mum was hugging him from behind the whole time – it was so sweet. I hear Jun’s younger brother is now taller than him.

Oh young Lee Jihoon, I hope you can see yourself in the present 🥹 You've sold millions of albums, as the pillar of seventeen and you're all still together. Complete 13 with no one missing. The pressure for Woozi and Coups (and honestly all of them) must've been unimaginable. They had a hard time during trainee times, a hard time in debut era, in rookie era, but look at them now. I didn't tear up again in the parents reveal part but I did a little at the beach scene at the end. I'm so proud of them 🥹🥹 As other comments said, they're really close with each other's families! And they don't shy away from talking about their families or featuring them directly in shows (ITS, GoSe to name a few). Love that you liked this ep too ~ you can definitely appreciate how hard they worked to get to where they are now.

To explain Mingyu's facial expressions on the bus (since you seemed confused/justifiably distracted by the cute fact that the younger members needed their older bros to explain the movie Kingsman to them since they were too young to watch it): initially, Mingyu was touched. The members noticed that they were headed to the beach and assumed they'd have a mission there so S.Coups asked the members if any of them can't swim (or can't go the in the water for whatever reason) and a few put their hands up. If you recall, DK had ear surgery so he couldn't get let water get in his ears. A staff member said that if someone can't do the mission, then another person has to do it for them and without hesitation, S.Coups said he'd do all the missions for all the members who couldn't. That's why Mingyu made that face at first. He was touched by what S.Coups said. The reason Mingyu looked like he wanted to cry afterwards is because immediately after S.Coups says, but if it's something like bungee jumping, I can't do that thirteen times so some of you need to try your best. The mention of bungee jumping for Mingyu with his acrophobia is what caused him to freak out. In sum, Mingyu's reactions: aww Coups-hyung you're the bes-WE MIGHT HAVE TO BUNGEE JUMP??? Poor puppy. I'm glad they just let the members have bonding time at the beach.

PaperCrown

I think it makes sense that S.Coups' leadership changed as the group aged. Initially he had to be the "adult/senior trainee" but as they all entered adulthood and the group entered the industry together, his leadership style changed. The members mentioned that he is still the one who advocates for the group with management and the company, at concerts, he's the one liaising with staff and the members mention (most recently in a Disney plus documentary) that he holds the group together. It's just that he no longer has to 'raise' them or be the oldest like you see in SVT project. If you're interested in S.Coups talking about being SVT's leader, there's a really good interview he did with Dispatch. It has a famous line from him in the interview: https://youtu.be/HgXEAibqTdQ (part 1) https://youtu.be/gZuPFn12718 (part 2) Aside from that famous quote, which I won't spoil, I think the most interesting thing he says in the interview is that each member will describe his leadership differently because he adapts his style to each member.

yess. even recently, wonu sent joshua's mom a rubber flower to celebrate her new cafe opening 😂
