But one of the best seasons of Wanteez, AND apparently we're getting a new season VERY soon :D

That made up for the fact that it's over for now :') It's also awesome that they didn't rush the ending and instead decided to continue the story in the new season :D

WOOHOO! It’s 1am but I can’t help but watch your reaction. Last time I moaned a bit about the pick-up shots but honestly the ending of this one kinda sold them for me. They’re trying to give us a little story and that’s pretty damn delightful. The only thing that confused me a little was (warning: massssssive nitpick, it’s not that big of a deal) …as soon as I saw that crumpled up photo in the bin in the first(?) episode I was like “oh look, the guy who died in Lemon Drop Martini”. That’s totally the same actor, right? lol. I’m not insane? So I was a bit like… “are we having to play along and pretend that it’s remotely likely that the boys don’t recognise him/immediately know he’s not the same guy as the one in the cell?” I clearly just need to let go a bit 😂 My autistic brain was just trying to work out whether that was meant to be a clue or not. Genuinely, I loved these episodes and I LOVE the idea of it being a running series. I want more heist/gang!Ateez missions. I could be like Ateez’s equivalent of SKZ’s family videos that we get every so often. I love that they really went all in on giving us varied concepts for this series. Wanteez is just unbeatable.

Damn. So Do and Jongho’s brother from Lemon Drop Martini (They’re both the same actor.) never gets to have a happy ending. He’s always on the chopping block. Poor guy. 😅

I'll be honest, they kind of lost me with this part. I like the overall idea/concept, but at least to me the execution feels a bit off. Maybe it's because they're setting up the next season of the hunt, and the idea that the members were already caught as bait here, but it felt a bit like they were just being spoon fed the information/next steps to execute versus actually figuring anything out for themselves. I also felt like it lacked the more immersive horror elements from the first parts, I was very aware that they were filming scripted content and didn't really feel the tension of wondering what would happen next. Again, maybe it's because this is just the first part/season of the hunt, and the point was to trick them into thinking they escaped when that was the plan all along, but it just felt like the stakes were really low and I wasn't worried about them being caught at all. I'm still interested to see how they plan to develop the hunt further next season, hopefully it won't be too long of a wait!

The worst part of this episode is seeing them do things we know they are too smart to do but do anyway because it's clearly part of the story. I'm also wondering about all the danger warnings when they most dangerous thing they did was run on stairs. The best part was they had to use their superpower to escape - being LOUD AF! We don't know anything about return dates for WANTEEZ or a Korean comeback - Just the Japanese single and the Anderson .Paak collab album Hongjoong is on and some festivals in Europe. Plus Yeosang is throwing a first pitch on the 22nd but they won't tell us where! 🎵 5.29(Fri) 'K-POPS!' I'm pretty sure the purpose of the Kim So Do "confusion" isn't that the guy in the photo and the guy in the cell don't look alike, but instead, is the guy in the photo Kim So Do or is the guy in the cell Kim So Do. The guy in the photo could have been a hunter, So Do, or another victim. 😊

So glad we get a season 2! Hmm, while I hope it's not this far away, I wonder if the date of Wanteez Hunt 2 is related to the video Ateez watched in ep 47/48 - it had a date for the next hunt which was 2026.10.04 at 21:00 ... let's hope it was only for the lock and we see them in again 2 weeks haha
