ATEEZ KGMA 2025 :D:D

Love how they had duo performances. And naturally, our question of the day for you all is, "Which duo was YOUR favourite?!" :D And why?

I mean, they're all amazing but.. you know. XD

And with that, what should we react to next?

We got some Making Films to catch up on, as well as the 2025 Gayo Daejaejeon performance clips to go through, The Real Now, The Record....LOTS of options :D (though obviously, we'll prioritize music related things given the slot) so let us know!

My favourite duo I think was Hongjoong and Wooyoung, maybe slightly because I adore Hala Hala and haven't seen then perform it enough times! I thought they started off so strong and I felt like I could hear them live better than some of the other duos. Honourable mention to Seonghwa killing his parts in Wonderland though! Overall I'm not really sure that this felt like an awards show/end of year performance to me, with it mostly being duos it almost felt a bit more showcase-y? And I agree, IYF is not a super strong song so I don't think it had enough impact, especially as a closing song. I do wish they had done at least one more group number with some more energy/power, as I think that is such a trademark for their group and where they truly shine. I know KGMA isn't the biggest of the award shows, but this felt a bit underwhelming for me especially coming from Ateez. (Also, not this show or Ateez specific but my one gripe with pretty much every award/end/beginning of year show- JUST LET US HEAR THEM LIVE!) For what to do next, I'm a little torn on what to recommend. Possibly for now maybe any other show performances left, like Gayo Daejaejeon, or similar one-off videos since we have the comeback coming soon? Personally I'd love to see the making/production behinds for either their recent solos or their Kingdom performances, but if you don't have enough time to get to them all before the comeback I'd rather wait and see them when you do have more time if that makes sense. Obviously not the end of the world if others would rather see those first, and we have to wait for a few to be finished up after their comeback promotions, but for me it is nice when related content like that is watched closer together.

My fav duo definitely has to be Yeosang and San (I’ve replayed that portion way too many times lol) because we rarely get to see Yeosang be highlighted like this in performances and also I love his vocals on the bouncy chorus!! (NEED THIS ON SPOTIFY!!) Plus San hyping up the crowd 🙌🏻 but yeah all the members did sooo good! Loved how they were showing us different eras, hopefully they do this again.. As for the next reaction, members solo making films would good, 2025 GD performance, or The Real Now! Honestly any of these 🤭 but I’m sure we’ll all love any Ateez reaction you guys give us next!! 🙌🏻

I have a soft spot for Hala Hala because it's been a long time since they performed it, and also because I love the choreography. Regarding the transitions (like the phantom transition with San here), I think they perfectly introduce the following song and always add something extra to the story behind the track. What I love about these kinds of performances for this type of show is that they never do the same intros or transitions twice, their outfits are amazing, and what I love most is hearing the members who aren't being filmed singing backing vocals or letting out a little shout : 8 makes 1 team!

It was fun to see you guys reacted to Yeosang’s Bouncy like the rest of us did. Also, this came at the perfect time, I think that “Phantom” was just used in the new concept trailer for GH Pt. 5.

for me my favourite part for sure was hongjoong and wooyoung doing hala hala, if only for the shock value when i realised they were performing it 😭 i was actually there in the arena watching them perform it live (it was my FIRST EVER ateez live performance) and i basically lost my mind when hala hala started because i never thought i'd see it live!

My favorite was HALA HALA because I miss it - I also enjoyed Yeosang getting the spotlight for a while, Bonus points for the pin stripes! It does feel like a bit of a retrospective! They won 2 awards including the Grand Artist (Daesang) that night and I wonder if they knew they would. I know awards shows over there don't invite you unless you're going to win something and Hongjoong's said they don't always know, but I wonder if the company new they were getting the biggest award that night and decided to do the career medley Again rooting for The Record since it really only goes to the second album and it goes best closest to the pre\debut stuff you've seen recently - It has some great moments and I'm afraid it'll get lost forever

I loved hearing Wooyoung do Jongho’s high notes. Someone leaked the KGMA program schedule during the show and I believe it did state something similar to what you said “ATEEZ’s journey.” I also agree with you on Bouncy. I loved seeing Yeosang bring highlighted since he rarely gets the spotlight. It’s one reason why I loved this duo the most. I would love to see you guys react to their Mawazine festival performance. In fact, during these award times, Ateez used his performances to give spoilers for their cbs. For example, there are golden hour part 4 spoilers in this performance. Even the whispers in the phantom part are in the current golden hour part 5 concept trailer. They have already set a hint for it a long time ago. It may seem that they are only exhibiting for performance, but in fact, ateez adds very deep details to their performances. There was almost no performance in their year-end performances that they did not give clues about their future comebacks.

i loved their kgma performance - the concept of the duos doing some of their greatest hits I thought was really fun and different! i also wasn't sure how y'all missed it but glad we got here!! i loved hearing the other members adlibs during the duo sets, i think you can hear hongjoong and mingi a lot hehe! also LOVE seeing my #1 atinys (xikers) hyping mingi and yunho up in the background <33 as for next reaction, i agree with others to check out their gayo daejeon too, i think that's the last of the ateez award shows y'all missed from last year but I could be wrong. they also did a set at music bank live in lisbon and seonghwa, wooyoung, and yeosang did an iconic special stage cover of money by lisa and absolutely ATE (the camera work of these mubank shows always piss me off lol but i'll take whatever i can get) for the mubank lisbon links they don't have a cut of their whole performance (unless someone else knows of one) so i linked it by song in the order i think they performed: ****money cover - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEY5GT537Uk (definitely this one if nothing else!!) Yayy!! You checked out KGMA! I loved this performance and atiny went crazyy over it! Ateez looked absolutely amazing! It's one of my favorite stage outfits for Seonghwa and Yeosang 😍😍 My favorite duo was Yeosang and San because of Yeosang singing 'Bouncy'. It's soooo very different from the way Hongjoong sings it and honestly, it's so sexy lol. I replay that part again and again every time I watch it. Although IYF doesn't seem grand enough to be a closing performance, I think it's significant here because this was Ateez's first time performing IYF on Korean TV, IN Korea, and to the masses. Up to this point, they had only performed it in Korea at the IYF concert. And San's solo for 'Phantom' was a continuation of his solo at 2024 KGMA. --------------------------------------- I think if you guys have the time, it might be good idea to check out all of the remaining EOY performances in one sitting. Or maybe checking them out along with the performance practices so you can see more of the details that the camera work doesn't catch. It might help to knock them out in one go and then start on the making behind videos afterwards. 😊

Yeosangs Chicken Leg 🍗

My fave was Yeosang and San duo. They gave Yeosang a chance to shine and boy did he. Love that for him. Plus, I love seeing them both together. 😍 Next favorite was Mingi and Yunho.

In Your Fantasy was my fave song at the time so it ending was awesome for me. My fave was Yeosang though….he was enchanting
