Last but not least! This is THE SVT song we all love XD

We've heard this one so many times (at least in bits) that it already feels nostalgic.

Here's what's really important for this one.

The usual discussion, it's in the video, so we'll talk more about that in the comments, but this IS the last track....meaning we have to move on to the next album soon.

And before we do that, if there are tracks you want us to revisit (performance vid, concert clips, unit switch versions, etc.), PLEASE let us know and we'll do another video or two going through them (cuz you know, this album was way too good to just end here...AGAIN)!

Otherwise, it's the usual suspects: structure talk, member talk (WAS THAT DINO), etc. (oh, and the choreo rocks for this one).

Okay. Enjoy for now, and we'll see you in the comments :D!

Love <3

Concert version is so much better, esp with some members doing adlibs. And the one with scoups birthday😂 hope others can give proper links🙏

The HipHop team sings the oh summer, summer, summer parts. Vernon is missing most of the M-Countdown performance, he was hurt.

ddaddu

Im pretty sure that part was Vernon but someone should fact check me🤷‍♀️

Han-c saying "Dino's not there" when I'm looking straight at the pinkest hair known to man got me to question my own sense of reality. Maybe Dino wasn't there...? But then I remembered that Han-c also has a tendency to just declare stuff he thinks about in the moment and get lectured by D'some later so I figured I was right. OUR DAWN IS HOTTER THAN DAY! And in this weather climate, they might just be right! I love this title because everytime I see it I think about Woozi in Killing Voice saying "what a Seventeen title right?" and it makes me laugh. I loved what Han-c said about it feeling like an anime OST title because I'm sure that's what Woozi, Mr. Anime-Lover, had in mind too. And the album is finished! It almost feels anticlimactic, and I noticed you guys didn't do a "what's my favorite song of the album" so maybe next time? But for me my favorite has to be Moonwalker. But Oh My is such a close second even though at first I was really of the "take it or leave it" camp. But it's so refreshing and very summery and youthful which very much fits with the Seventeen theme at the time so I really liked it. Overall though, not my favorite album of the early days - but good songs nonetheless. It kinda feels like they were searching for something with this album, not to mention it was their third album (including the JP debut) in like half a year, so it stands to reason that sometimes you run out of steam. Still, they gave it their all regardless. I think for other performances related to this album... I have nothing to recommend. I'm sure someone else will send links in my stead. Most of what I can think about is just Oh My being part of a medley of other songs in end of the year performances. Before moving on to You Made My Dawn, the mature sibling to You Make My Day, I think you guys should check out A-TEEN! It's an OST that 5 members did during after this album (Dino, Hoshi, Woozi, Vernon, and Joshua) and then the year after all of Seventeen did a part 2 for this drama called 9TEEN. You also heard it on Killing Voice, it's the OST that won OST of the year or something along those lines. Amazing song!!! I'll leave links for it! I don't quite remember, but I think this song was a grower on me. It's such an easy listen, and it's obvious that svt themselves love this song. And the choreography is so cute too, it's unexpected in the first place that such a song will have a dance, but I'm really glad they decided to promote this alongside the title track! (also Dino doing inception on y'all was so funny 😂 ) Off the top of my head, I can't think of bonus videos/performances from the album, so I'm linking stuff for Good to Me from the YMMDawn Album if you're moving on to that :D - Choreo Video - https://youtu.be/KFV7FMNWh0I - Stage Mix - https://youtu.be/f34j8-4vc-A

This song/choreo/live performance is good medicine! Seventeen is the Maestro of my bio rhythms.

This is in my top 5 favorite seventeen songs.

I'm not sure I can put into words how much I love this song. It's my favourite SVT track of all time and the song that represents them the best in my opinion. It might not be the most popular, or the most loved, or the best musically, but it contains so much of what SVT is that I don't think there will ever be something that tops it in my heart. The title and the lyrics are their history of countless dawns they watched coming out of a practice room. How many times they must have practiced until 4 or 5 in the morning, how many sun rises they saw trying to cool off from the hours spent dancing. Their dawn WAS hotter than day in those moments. And they did it with the hope that their efforts would pay off, all their dreams, their expectations. Or at least this is how I see it. The music is so catchy, the melodies are so pretty and Vernon's rap is one of my favourite verses from him, how he intertwines Korean and English and it makes it flow so beautifully. And the choreo has something that it goes together with how I interpret the lyrics - when they are all in a row, connected to each other and dancing together. It's such a simple movement, and it's basically just them smiling to each other, here we are, we are 13 and we are in this together. Anyway, I love this song :)

Yay finally! Personally, whenever I think of a SVT summer, it has to be this song. It has the same vibes as Campfire in a way that it's such a group song that you sing/listen to on a night under the stars. Like drink soju and tell stories kinda song xD Seventeen's twin lines: -Evil Twins Jeonghan and Joshua -Jikseonz Wonwoo and DK -Hoshi and Dino Oh My (GDA 2022) It's a completely different arrangement + Clap like you've never heard it before: https://youtu.be/HUnndOo0owo?si=nEbCEUBQd1ePdR6F Oh My MBC live radio: https://youtu.be/0c_DglsE-xA?si=xRGDuR1QbtaaUvtZ

You can spend more time for this track cuz most of the concert version has its own specials 😇

I suddenly remembered the one when Scoups missed his part because he was saying IT S MY BIRTHDAY 😂😂😂😂

This is such a familiar song, it really does pop up quite frequently! I think it's that familiarity that gives me cozy vibes when I hear the song now, it's become like a comfort song that's just so nice and easy to listen to. Also, everyday with Seventeen I learn something new, and today it's that this song has choreo. Maybe because that was so new for me, but I honestly didn't really enjoy the choreo, it almost felt out of place to me. It did feel less jarring to me seeing it on the M Countdown performance, with the more dynamic camera shots, full styling, etc, but I was/am still trying to wrap my head around the concept of the choreo existing at all. One thing that stood out to me on these listens, is that this truly feels like a team song. None of the members stood out at all, and all the chants/harmonies/vocal layering made them sound so cohesive and unified as a whole. I think that probably adds to the coziness/comfort factor for me, as cheesy at that probably sounds. Now, I'm completely biased here because You Made My Dawn is my second favourite of all Seventeen's albums, but I'd love to move on to that next! Of course if the Carat Sausages have other recommendations first I'll enjoy those as well (and as someone else mentioned, we didn't get your final thoughts on the album overall, so that probably makes most sense to do first with any bonus performances/clips that are recommended), but personally my vote is to continue on with the chronological journey, and circle back to other clips at a later date.

ODIHTD is one of those svt songs that'll make me cry if i hear it live. that's how this song is so special to me 🥺

i love this song so much! my favourite memory that’s tied to this song surely has to be their new_ concert in singapore. the stadium they performed in has a small opening at the side where the boys could see the sunset while they were performing, and they loved it so much that they sang THIS song spontaneously to match the vibe 😭 it was truly a heartwarming experience 💞

Jade V

ODIHTD is one of my favorite Seventeen tracks in their whole discography and it's very well loves in Caratland in general. It's just so warm and cozy with this slightly nostalgic vibe. As someone else said, the title was inspired by the countless sleepless nights they spent working and practicing and then going home in the morning. Dawn was indeed hotter than day for them, their most hard-working, most tiring but also most passionate time of the day containing countless cherished memories and moments of laughter. As for the choreography, it's actually very closely linked to the lyrics. The whole first verse is basically like translating their lyrics into mouvements. As for the main "Our Dawn Is Hotter Than Day" part : they point to the sky from east to west to mimic the sun's course in the sky, then open their hands in the west (i.e. during the night) and cover their eyes to indicate that's the "hottest" for them, the time of day their sun shines the brightest. And the strong hip moves could represent their passion and hard-work during this time. And this part being different from the more flowy rest of the choreography fits musically with how this acapella break stands out in the song too.

Oh the Caratland one is so iconic! 😂 I would've loved to find a good quality link for that version though...

Yes! I second A-TEEN!

kermitsvt

im so used to how they perform this song nowadays that this live performance sounded so empty without all the UHUH UHUH UHUH adlibs 😭

Mikayla

I love this song; it's so warm and cozy and so SVT! It's so different watching the performance, like MCountdown, because I'm so used to the way SVT performs it now with all the little ad-libs. It just adds so much that I forget that they haven't always performed it that way. Though selfishly i wanna move on to You Make My Dawn because Good To Me is one of my favorite SVT songs ever i have to admit that we can't go on before you hear the way SVT currently performs "Our Dawn is Hotter Than Day." Carat Sausages if anyone has a god link for Caratland 2021 with the Scous birthday version, PLEASE post it here! I can't find one, so I'll post the Bursday stage version here! Even though this song was released a long time ago, they still perform this song in 2026. Their concert version/ Caratland version are Carat's favourites :)
