Second last track on this ridiculous album - as in, our brain lost all its wrinkles over the course of its convoluted progression - is the long awaited M.I.A

It just...why didn't we think of this?

WHAT. A. GROOVE.

Apparently d'Some's favourite from the album so far, so what do you know?

We got Awkward Silence next, which, one can only imagine :')

Hope you all enjoy this one! :D

I haven’t watched this YET (I’m about to) but out of their prolific discography, of which I’ve listened to the entire thing, M.I.A. is in my top 3 B-Sides- to me it was their very first like…sexy sounding song. But they were still so baby! And you should see Bang Chan perform this around this time. Mah boi, was, to paraphrase the great philosopher Beyoncé, feelin’ himself

Lmao I think it’s safe to say that you picked up on the sexy vibe. And YES totally agree a) that this was such a good employment of auto tune. I liked that it was turned up so high that there was no mistaking that it was intentional, b) definitely a b-side that reads like an a-side. I also agree about the lo-fi vibe- like I feel like this could’ve come out within the last 2 years at the peak of the Spotify Lo-Fi Beats to Study and Relax To craze

Even when the music sounds so laid back and kinda sexy, the lyrics, in my opinion are kinda sad. I interpret it this way: they miss the old them. They talk about being awkward with someone else, that they cannot see the happiness anymore, they're worried about the other person, etc. I feel like they talk their younger selves. There are many interpretations that can come out from this song like: a relationship, a friendship, family, etc. This album is truly a masterpiece, top 3 for me! Can't wait for Awkward Silence and your reaction to the MV!!!! Thank yoooouuuuuuuu

This song always seemed to fit the theme of these albums really well to me. The idea of changing and finding that you can’t go back to where you were before. And ya know I hadn’t really considered it sexy before now but damn it, it really is. Also looking very nice today, Sausages! You going somewhere special after visiting with us?

The fact you said if you had heard this song it would have made you interested in skz and look further into them🤌🏽 literally me. Glad you loved it! It will always be top 5 for me.

2 things. First, I'm relieved that we can be friends. 😁 Second, I love Awkward Silence, so I'm excited.

I took a sip of water just before Changbin's second time coming in. And when you said, "Okay he's angry," I spit out my water as I was laughing lol. I was waiting for that part as you had just said he wasn't angry this time. Love this song - I'm glad we can be friends too :)

SKZ are kings at making songs that are a ~vibe~ but have sad, introspective lyrics.

A few things the joke from D’some about we know Lee know is funny because Lee know used to do his intro as I know, you know, we know, Lee know and it became such a well known joke that in one of the songs you will eventually listen to while the other members in one line will say “we know, we know” when Lee know has that line he says “we know, Lee know” (I’m also super excited for you to react to that song because the actual track is sooo good but the way they play with the flow and the use of traditional korean folklore is really fun too). Second one thing about M.I.A that’s super fun when performed live is Felix used to do the Renegade (TikTok trend) to this song and it was always soo funny because you wouldn’t think it fits but it does. Third Awkward Silence is the song that got me into Stray Kids so it’s a song that I absolutely love and holds a special place in my heart the video is sooo funny too I can’t wait to see your reactions.

Yeaaaaaa MIA my love. This song is definitely the one that kept me digging deeper. I’m so happy you enjoyed it!!! I’m actually quite curious when you get to yellow wood how you’re gonna feel about TMT - I have no idea why but when I listen to MIA I always wanna listen to TMT after. Git a little while before we get there though. Haha. Glad we can still be friends!!

Yep, I'm Liberty

M.I.A actually has a pretty straightforward meaning. Basically they are thinking about their old selves and are wondering where they are, hence M.I.A. It really drives the point home because in certain scenes they are singing to themselves and asking questions like "Where is your pretty smile?" and lots of statements about wanting to see you "their old selves" again. It's another pretty deep one when you really dive into it, but they make it so bouncy!

Han in this has the same vibes as like Run or Wish You Back, it's so cool to hear him bring it to a group song as well as solo projects!

Actually I've never sense any sexy vibe from this song.. (maybe I'm too much into Red Lights, Taste, DLMLU, etc. hahaha.) But when you mentioned it's sexy, an unforgettable scene of their live performance popped out in my head... Hyunjin and Chan waving their body together...OMG, it's this song M.I.A!!!

We like to set the bar very low as sausages so we can easily look like we're going out somewhere by being normal human beings haha XD But thank you! And glad you picked up on the song's sexy vibe because it 100% is!!

Haaaaa that's actually funny I nailed it exactly as it's usually said. Something about unintentional puns and lines...maybe I'm psychic or something. Also, Awkward Silence was amazing :D

Isn't it amazing how they mix up sappy lyrics with upbeat music, and vice versa? Not saying this one's particularly upbeat or anything but still!

I think it's more a ...musical sexiness than overt sexy vibe? But it's got that different type of upbeat groovy sexiness :D Nothing like Red Lights no, but something different! haha

Yes! absolutely!!! ^___^ I felt M.I.A. is the person who clam outside but hot inside. ha ha ha.

Late to the party as usual but im so glad you loved this song! MIA is one of my favourite B side tracks SKZ has ever put out, and tbh it has a very similar vibe to collision from 5 star imo! the laid back, lo-fi, sexy undertones are so prevalent and its such a unique blend of that style with the signature SKZ flair and execution! Im so excited to continue seeing you fall more and more in love with SKZ every reaction!
