Neck Biters (Patreon)

Something doesn't add up. You take a step back as more of the eggs hatch, still with nothing inside. Something hits you in the back of the head, bouncing off your armour. Your parties' mage yells loudly as he casts see invisibility. "RUNNN!!!"

You all dive out the building as it explodes from the mages' fireball. Something charred and serpentine lands next to you. You catch it quickly as the fire burns out. The creature writhes trying to get at you. Pulling a spear from your backpack, you impale the creature to the ground. 

You look up, seeing your parties' attention else were. 

DM note - if you're a sadistic DM, I would make them invisible. And honestly, I would consider playing a little hidden traitor with this creature if it gets a party member. You'll see why next.
