He shows you a coin made from a black metal. A golden skull on one side and a golden dog head on the other... it has some real weight to it.

DM notes – this should be easy. Two-headed coin of the god of death. If a party member fails all their death saving, throws have them use this coin. Let Anubis judge them. Hell could be a cool way to give a character something to do. They live but Anubis has their soul... go get it back etc.
