Infield testing the Zero Tolerance 006 fixed blade. Made of premium CPM3V, a proven steel here, we dismantle some desert oak. A value survival saw and competition options make a fun showing as well.

Sweet more TNP awesomeness I needed it👍👍

Keep up the gear reviews NutN it's your bread and butter. That kind of honesty is what we are here for.

You called it Nutnfancy. I'm broke, painfully broke but operation make more money is in motion.

I don't understand the big price tag on fixed blades. The new Benchmade Bushcrafter is $450! I Know they're USA made but there's no complexity to them. You'd think a lot more effort and time goes into building a USA made OTF, and you can get some around $250. Livewire in magnacut is $240. I'd like to see how many manufacturing steps and man hours go into an OTF vs a fixed blade. I get that it costs more for a slab of steel to make a fixed blade, but is it really so much more that it out-weighs the cost of labor on an OTF?

The Nutnfancy Project

Yes it's insane. I do like posting more expensive blades like this b in the general TNP audience I STILL hear complaints about anything Chinese. And yet when faced with US prices they still have a problem with it. In all the stuff I review you can't have both. That's why I usually focus on value blades.

I like the outdoor vids!

Love my ZT folders, bought man years ago from a dude who went to their annual knife thing, where they sold off their BLEM stuff, Xxxx serial #s....can't find a blem on them....

Gotta dig your roots

I love the adventure and outdoors videos, keep ‘em coming. Gonna reiterate my vote for a full size TNP custom camp knife.

Love the TNP outdoor content too. I do like the ZT006, but I’m the type that will spend the extra $ to get a Carothers, Survive!, or a Dave Wenger. I really wish ZT went with a tumbled stonewash finish on the ZT006, and no clearcoat. I generally don’t like coated blades, though I make an exception for certain finishes like Wenger’s Caswell finish. Also, definitely a fan of Silky saws in the field, as well as Bahco Laplanders.

My primary EDC right now is a montana knife company mini speedgoat that's a great fixed blade that weights 1 oz. I also always bring a fixed blade whenever I go hunting, hiking, or camping.

GarageJim_RMB

TNP in the dirt, where all good things arise from. Good to see ya out there.

Always a fan of the in the field testing and camping videos Colonel!! Just lagging in my video watching (I'll try and suck less, lol).

Todd Strelka

I love fixed blades. I'll check this out later.

At this price point the saw should work flawlessly. The saw seem to be form over function added by the marketing department. The knife I carried in the desert was a PRker survival knife. It was NOT full tanged, the the blade thickness and saw worked efficiently on HV unarmored doors and roof tops. The handle finger grooves were reduced in size and wrapped with No4 black bank line. The secon desert knife was the SOG Tech Bowie. Great for opening crates, but a little big for my taste.

Dean

Nice Review.

I don’t see why you have such a cheap saw and such a expensive blade. It seems the saw is just as important.

JFire

The only fixed blade I have integrated into one of my systems is the Mora Kniv that previously recommend. Could always use more knives in more systems though.

Scout154

I held one at blade show Atlanta fell in love with it! But I ended up with the SMKW ZT and a Protech!
