Love my Silky. I have a larger version (Big Boy?) I keep in the truck for off-roading but I have mainly used it for large branches at home for firewood.

I like any of the large tooth straight blades the best. Great product. Japanese definitely know their saws.

A silky saw has been on my Want It List for a long time, but I have never seen one in any store. I guess I need to just break down and order one from Amazon. I'm5'2" and do not have a gigantic get home bag, but there's plenty of room in my vehicle for a saw. Can anyone recommend a size please? Thanks.

A silky has been on my want list for some time. I have actually given them as gifts…based on nutns previous reviews….I just may buy myself one after this video….if the spirit moves me.

One can pick up a Silky Gomboy 121 24 tpi on eBay for $50 shipped from Japan. I own several. With a Gomboy, Mora Garberg or similar bushcraft knife, and a GB Small Forest or Outdoor Axe (or large knife like a Skrama or Trail Master) one is pretty much all set when it comes to bush crafting or other camping.. All of the Silky saws are great, and can be had much cheaper if you order them direct from Japan.

These little saws are great. I've got a kershaw taskmaster 7" in my EDC bag and do find having a little folding saw to be quite useful. Had a tree go down and blocked the road to our home, it was either get around the tree or go around 10 miles.

I forget the make and model but it was a shot gun you left out in the field. Amazing that it was found, turned into the police, and found its way back to you!
