A new offering in the field of weapon lights was tested here in TNP and I come up with conclusions. The field is full of strong players from Olight and Streamlight and Cloud Defensive. Will this PID series of lights and light/lasers show them how it's done?

The first thing that I thought when I saw that lens bezel was that you must be able to focus it. Guess not. Not sure if I caught the price but according to Amazon it no cheaper than its competitors.

Should be called PID-IO. Personal Identification... Indoors ONLY. Their ok for in a residence, I actually appreciate that it doesn't overwhelm the sights like some systems can at closer range. Plenty for shooting in a residence (Unless you have a 10,000+sq foot home, or in a wearhouse)

For the price I'd rather have a steamlight, but maybe the holosun we'll go on sale.

+1 recommendation for Cloud Defensive. All my long guns run the Rein 2 or Rein 3; legit 100+ yard illumination. My handguns have been upgraded to the TLR-7 HL-X. Positive ID your targets. Bad guys are disoriented by wall of light. Thank you for continued effort and dedication.

Been running o light full size and minis with and without lasers, all excellent and SAME (mostly) charging interface as my flashlights - big plus because you always have a few in edc kits.

Thank you for the review, and for steering us away from this one. Speaking of the olights, if you haven't tried the valkyrie pl turbo you're probably missing out in their best weapon light yet. It's candela and throw is getting pretty close to the high end lighting options and it does take replaceable batteries. Regarding the "smith and wesson" echelon 😉, we actually had an unacceptable experience with one. I suspect it was a barrel problem. At 5yds it shot pretty much POA/POI. By the time you got out to 25 yds you couldn't even hit a human sized target, it hit way high left, like not even on paper. Sent it to springfield for warranty, they disregarded the commentary we supplied and any notes the rep had taken down in the RMA request, only shot it up close, and said it was good to go. Multiple experienced shooters tried it out and we all had the same high left experience at shortish distances.

That kind of story really makes me wonder if brands are outsourcing QC. Seems pretty common for them to ignore the stated problems and run it through the factory test, shoot it with their own loads at 25 feet, and call it a day

no longer will I purchase chinese made self defense equipment (lights, lasers, optics etc). I have had them take a fart and I cant trust them for self defense use. USA made stuff is more expensive but its worth it.
