I 100% agree with your opinion on the Skeletool. I'm so glad I have Leatherman Juice S2.

Matthew Sinn

We really do need a petition for Leatherman to bring back the Juice. I carry my blue CS2 every day (and yes I have used the corkscrew on several occasions while camping). All time HOF

I'm going to comment first and then see how my opinion is affected after watching this. I'm an automotive technician and I started carrying a skeletool around 8 years ago maybe. I was carrying an endura prior. The skeletool has been my primary pocket knife for that entire time. I use it constantly at work. I probably use the screwdriver (more as a prying implement than anything) most, followed by the pliers, followed by the knife. For my purposes, and something that is absolutely always in my pocket, I love it.

PeepsOnEaster

Agree. I know there are better options but when it comes down to weight and size, hard to beat

Glad I have my juice. Is in my fanny pack that I carry all the time.

New vid notification while I’m rewatching the DSK vids. Love the TNP lifestyle.

Skeletool never made sense to me either. Plus it looks boot. Leatherman squirt on person. Keep a Charge in the sling bag. Juice CS4s in BOK and DSK. Thanks for all the content Uncle N!

Another YouTuber I follow who also works on vehicles a lot loves the skeletool. It probably is one of the lightest MTs out there with a clip.

Nice! The leatherman Canada website had a post discontinuation batch of CS4s on sale that I jumped on. Got a bunch for kits and geared up my kids and nephews.

I couldn’t agree more. Perfect edc tool for an auto technician. I’ve carried mine for 10 plus years. It’s the fastest deploy of all multitools. Atleast for the things I need. The knife is a flip open which almost no multitools are. The bit driver is perfect for prying or using a quick Phillips or flat blade and the pliers are perfect for checking fuses. I don’t need anything else to carry as I have thousands of dollars in tools if I need something better. I don’t think I’ve ever needed scissors as a mechanic. I do love the juice 2 ( I have an orange one just like nutnfancy) but it’s very slow deploy and better served for me at home where I don’t have as many readily available tools. Great points Clay!

I love the skeletool I own 3 of them. I like how slim they fit in the pocket nicely and I'll never use the saw or scissors. Knife pliers and occasionally a screw driver covers 99% of my needs.

Bravo

Great vid Nutn! I completely agree. I have a Juice S2. One of the slightly later models with the one side deep orange and the other silver. Absolutely love that thing! But I decided to stop carrying it edc due to its value, rarity and I just love it so much I don’t want to risk losing it. I currently carry a Victornox compact (for a couple years now) and love it so much utility for the size. I just wish there was something just like the Juice for sale now. Id buy 2 right away. Maybe more later haha. I miss having the little Plier set on me but it’s just one of those things I have to work around until I find a better option.

I have a skeletool I carry in pocket at work- in medical field in professional dress. It is light but not a very god tool, will pinch, pliers are not that precision, etc. definitely would not have in a fanny pack as an extra ounce would not matter for a better tool

When I thought I had lost my Leatherman Juice S2 I bought a skeletool and instantly thought it sucked also. If I ever loose the Juice S2 any suggestions on a light weight alternative that is still being sold today new? Thanks for the review.

Gary Groeschke

I shelved my skeletool i’ll give them that it is lighter, but it lacks the scissors and they come in handy for me I carried a Victorinox compact for a while and then scored a juice s2 off eBay now I’m living large!!

Gilbert Cuzdey Jr

Leathermans are getting so expensive I can't justify buying a new one when my rebar I've had for a decade works great.

Ben horton

SOG PowerPoint is a solid choice.

JFire

My favorite large multi tool that I carry everyday at work is my Gerber Truss. It has 3 blades of some sort and scissors!

Joshua Pulliam

Leatherman Arc for me. It has all of the features I want in a multi-tool.

Strelok Borisowitsch

I love the skeletool. It's lightweight with the 3 most common tools I need in an EDC.

UncutDan

Had the skeletool cx for years. It has the main functions I want: pocket clip, a nice blade that can easily be opened one handed, pliers with cutters for zip ties, and a bit driver.

Max lewis

I actually think this is a rare miss by Nutn. I don’t actually know what you are cutting with the baby scissors that you can’t just cut with your knife. I think the skeletool is a good light duty multi tool. Solid pliers, solid driver, useful blade. Going to a smaller multi tool just for tools no one really uses is pointless. You said yourself you don’t use the saw. No one is using the baby file or miniature pry bar. Skeletool is good to go. A little pricy though.

Garrett Dismukes

Just carry a wave or charge. Still the best in terms of functionality to me.

The skletool is a second type of cool. Unique design, good locking blade, weighs 140G. For scissors, my everyday carry is a skeleton micro. Perfect for personnel needs. During DS, I carried a gen 1 SOG Power Plier, because the hog shape pliers are excellent. For Range days, I carry a Wave because the pointed pliers work great on target repairs. Carry what you need. Use what you carry

pinetree89

I've owned all the Juices. The Juice S2 was the pinnacle of the design. It had all the right tools. I think nutn' was trying to say that it had the right tools in a SAWC package that nothing has ever been able to match. The Juice S2 can disappear into your front pocket. You try to pocket something from today with the same tools as the S2 and you'll become the butt of all the "happy to see me" jokes.

HappyFrancisMacomber

I’ve lost the skeletool several times and replaced. It works and second pocket edc to a full sized blade. For real work, using orange g-10 wave + and a stainless wave +, juices live in edc kits in truck, fishing kits, and tool boxes. Honestly the cheap rok tool or nextool have the best scissors.

HappyFrancisMacomber

Agree with this brother. The juice2 it is amazingly fun and still fits in a pocket.

HappyFrancisMacomber

Point made in the review. I’ll carry the skeletool occasionally, but it’s definitely a second cool set of pliers to your main EDC blade. Luckily we have many multi tools and gear to trade out, tailor, and carry as needed.

Joshua Bustamante

Honestly I couldn't agree more. I always thought the skeletool looked so dumb. I wouldn't mind a tool that looked weird if it gave me lots of functionality in return.
