Still recovering my from my chest virus (or whatever the heck it is), un-fun. But I've been producing the whole time. Expect soon to see the KelTec PR57 review, it's a fun one and for those of you waiting to see if it's a good BOK choice, you'll like what I have to say and might be surprised at my bold prediction for this newest KelTec pistol.

Also I want to post my Henry Arms Premium Lever Action review soon. I tested it in .300 Blackout. It's a winner from Henry and we'll have an interesting comparison with the Troy PAR if you remember that one https://youtu.be/d8KMZpzNZQo. Many other videos are awaiting their time too through this narrow content funnel (another pump .22, .300 BO, compact 9mm, acebeam and surprises await); judging from the views just here in Patreon, I still am posting videos too fast.

If you are following me on Instagram at @realnutnfancy https://www.instagram.com/realnutnfancy/ you will have seen I did a Speed Vegas super car event. I will debrief that experience in a two parter, showing some parts of the track experiences in the Lambo, Astin, Porsche, Z06, NXS, Lotus and more (10 driven, all while sick, to be honest it was drudgery as such).

Also I am making my videos shorter. Now I have many on the hard drive, not posted yet, that will be longer. But in the new year the new format will be 20 min or shorter with maybe some add on time for infield shooting and review of the fun props. Views are not good for my standard format, with often a loss of viewers quickly into the video, and you guys have voted. Maybe later I will have to kill long format videos all together and just do short 2 minute videos. It seems most only want this and it seems a sad outgrowth of the Instagram Effect. Make your thoughts know below and as always this clubhouse carries the most weight.

Also I have some interesting philosophy videos coming up too. Those by necessity are long format and always attract the best TNPrs as such! They will be immune to the shorter format.

At any rate please make sure you double check your payment method here as we come up to another month. Every time we lose donors here probably just b their credit card expired.

Happy New Year and kind regards for being my friends in this Grand Endeavor called TNP with another decade of activity and adventure planned!

Thanks for the updates. I'm looking forward to the new year. We are entering the 250th year of the USA and the 20th year of TNP. I believe the best is yet to come.

Moe Mansour

I find LF much more gratifying. I guess I'm the minority these days.

Zambini

Sad day when people don’t have the attention span for the long format videos, they really are the best. Thanks Nutn.

Zachary Rockwell

Man it saddens me the long form is going away. I watch every video through but I know I’m in the minority. The instagram/tiktok effect is a scrounge on our society.

Mark Horan

You probably need to follow the trend. Just like NFL analytics. I prefer long format also. Like Todd said, the best is yet to come. Even if short format- I’ll watch.

JARMYSTRONG

I'll be bummed when the vid length drops. I liked the in depth reviews that would sent TNP apart. Guess I'm in the minority.

Big_Iron_Actual

Big fan of long form videos, and I always watch the full video. I can't even say how many videos I've watched several times. Many times I've put up a long video just to listen to while driving, as I travel fairly regularly for work.

Paul Pettefer

Still love the feature length! Carving shorts out of the feature length can be an option for you.

Matthew Sinn

I prefer long form, but you could play the multi-part game… leave a cliffhanger for a day. Just a thought. Whatever you choose to do I’ll be here in this comfy corner of the interwebs with the goodly folks of TNP Nation

Matthew Sinn

I agree with this suggestion. Shorts can drive views to the longer videos when done well

Matthew Sinn

Happy New Year. I agree wholeheartedly. Still looking forward to running into Nutn at some small parking lot by chance so I can get on the gear check HOF.

Silas Porter

I'm gonna miss the long form content. Can't wait to see what TNP has in store for 2026!

TechNeck

I never liked the long format for anything other then a full adventure,or a table top gun review with dissasseby (your old school videos). I try not to do more then 1 hour of YouTube a day.. and forgotten weapons gets 20 minutes haha. A ot of your longer videos i only get a chance to sit down and watch on a weekend. I got your cooking video and the fpc .22 on my to watch list see if i get a chance this hoiday season (i have to drive 8000km, do work in 3 provinces, move buddies trailer possibly to idaho) and be ready to take over a shop in a month)

Matt

I’ll keep watching regardless just keep the standard Nutn style you’ve had the whole time. Shorter review vids might get more audience so worth a try. Though most of the short videos are shills that will say anything they get for free is great anyways. Very few people like you out there. I don’t have much spare time and if I do I will watch a TNP vid over any of the other ones.

Kinoons

I prefer the long form myself, but I’m onboard for the ride no matter what.

JFire

I’m excited for all the upcoming content. I’m going to miss long format though. I love listening it like a podcast especially going to and from work which lets me listen to a whole post perfectly. Unfortunately at home with 4 young kids I have to stop and start it up again throughout the day to watch updates in full. I’ll watch whatever come out though. Happy holidays!

squaretac

I have always liked the long video format. I have never understood why other people don't. I thought I remember you trying short videos like 10 years ago for a while but ultimately you went back to long videos.

Jason Alexander

RIP long format. You will be missed. This would be positive if people used the extra time to get off their couch. Unfortunately, I suspect most are just scrolling to another short video and can't muster an attention span longer than the latest AI video on tiktok.

Lee

Long format vids will be missed sir. I’ll still tune in no matter what.

Bbomz97

Sounds good, stoked to continue the ride on this adventure now going on almost 20 years!!

Trustful Marksman

I admit I've been tuning out of your videos early, not because I dont like long videos, but because you dont seem to be saying anything new. Your 300blk pistol video is a perfect example. All good stuff but nothing I haven't seen in multiple other videos. Its like watching "Its A Wonderful Life" again for the holidays. Its still the best Christmas movie ever, but its easy to loose focus cause I already seen it.

Matthew Sumner

What is BOK? I'm still drinking coffee, and can't seem to think of what it stands for. Thanks!

Gilbert Cuzdey Jr

Damn, I love the long format but I get it....gotta put out what works.

The Hide

The long format was one of my favorite parts of TNP. Your indepth reviews are what made your videos and reviews stand out. I hope you dont move away from them all together. But I get it, I've had to do the same on my channel as well.

Seeker Keyl

I used to dig the long form videos, but I have limited time to devote to watching much of anything these days between work, family, church, and other obligations, and this sort of content doesn't make the cut often times (not all the time!). I still appreciate your content and perspectives, Nutn. I presume you will, every once in a while as the topic deserves it, produce long form content as the mood takes you :)

Stuart

Eagerly awaiting the Henry 300 blackout video! I've been contemplating one.

William H

Youtube is for the masses, you have to do what works. I’d like to see an update video on multitools. I need one for my vehicle bag (wife has confiscated the juice) and those massy oak tools are a whole lot cheaper than leathermans.

Steven Salina

2 minutes videos are pointless and I wouldn't even bother watching. 20 or so minute videos are fine. I watch long form videos only when I have a chance (usually while working night shift twice a month) or if I'm really interested in the information. I feel like the KelTec PR57 is a solution in search of a California problem.

kylenor

Disappointing to be honest to hear that long form will be less frequent. I love the long form GRVs esp. if rants are included!

Andrettski

Length of vids depends on subject matter. GRV's 20-40 minutes, KRV's 10-20, philosophical vids 40-60. Keep doin' like always Nutn, IMO.

The Nutnfancy Project

Copy thanks for the input. I do pull out stories for every gear item but honestly, it’s difficult to be totally original and every single one.

The Nutnfancy Project

That’s correct. I’m not placing blame on anyone. It’s just a nature of immediate environment. The algorithms and short format videos have acclimated people not to focus up for long format. I’ll still be doing 20 minute videos, which is long enough for sure. But doing a 45 minute gun review that nobody’s watching is kind of pointless.

The Nutnfancy Project

I think you’ll see that shift towards shorter videos will be relatively seamless for you guys. Again, I have a ton of videos, filmed already that will subscribe to the original format. They’ll still be interesting, fun, move along quickly, and be over before you know it.But I have to tighten things up in the super competitive media environment. I am appreciating the comments here and as always, the clubhouse will steer how I do things.

STLParkRanger13 (IG: Sharpshooterjon)

Yep, got you followed on IG. My screen name there is "SharpshooterJon" as it's a semi-professional account (I work at SharpShooterSTL Indoor Firing Range now.)

JFire

Awesome! Good work as always!

maxmfs

Do what you’ve got to do, but I think your current mix of long and short form - depending on the subject matter - works best. In my estimation, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. But, you know the actual views and metrics that show what really works. Thanks for all you do.

PC

I love watching your long format videos, whether they be gear reviews or philosophy, I'm even a fan of multi parts like the vbok series. Hopefully you continue to have the motivation to produce more content. I would also like to see some of the older content loaded up to patreon so I can watch them without yt ads.

Tacticaldoodle

The PR57 seems to be a good converter to the brand. I've seen two gucci gunners who tried one out as a new carry unit. It's novel, and Kelly'

Francesco Magisano

Hope you recover soon, excited to consume the upcoming videos. Wishing you and your family a happy new year. Especially dig the philosophy videos.

John Dean

I like the long format. Possibly a hybrid model works. Example of how Wranglerstar evolved his content over time. Viewers wanted / liked the livestream. He clips the livestream and puts them out as short clips (his hot takes during the stream) . This drives engagement and views to his channel. Increasing views in longer videos as well. Also, i would enjoy a scheduled livestream. You are the original adventure channel and I think the base audience would like to engage with you in that format.

Justin Wingerter

I think it would be a major loss to the community for you to start shortening your videos. Your years of dedication to long form content would be greatly missed! I've always enjoyed the systematic break downs you do disscussing pou, accuracy, competative options, and of course, would you buy it!

Vladimir

Nutn, don’t conform to the tomfoolery that is boobtube today. Keep thing’s feature length.

andrew billings

I love the long format tbh it’s my favorite but the quick and dirty 20min format is fine too. I have to say, it is 20below zero in Alaska right now and light only light 7 hours so I’m doing my fair share of watching vids…. Appreciate all the hard work producing/posting vids, thank you!!

Michael Boulrice

Hey Nutn. I am glad you are making a pivot. The early content was focused went down the list of POU and very concise. I knew what I was getting with each review. Some of your content went in depth into systems philosophy and changed how I thought about guns. I think this model has been very successful by creators like brassfacts who was a fan and acolyte of your original videos.

Willie Everett

I don't always watch right away but I love long format videos. I look forward to doing certain things because I know I can listen/watch a couple videos and not have to keep trying to find the next one to watch.

Mike S

I don't mind the long form videos, but I can understand if they are a little too long for some folks. On the bright side, 20-30 minute long videos are still feature length to me, and that will mean less editing time spent for you, Nutn. Either way, I'm sure most of us in the clubhouse will be here regardless.

Ryan Gray

Vastly prefer feature length vids from you as you break down POUs, alternatives, etc. That is becoming increasingly rare these days with Tok style mind rot. I always like your in field review material the best, but I know that it is very time and money intensive from my own experience. Keep up the good work Nutn. PS. I wonder if there is anything that can be done to get your videos in front of a broader audience? It is very evident that YT has been throttling your main channel for years because followers has been flatlined forever. Just a thought.

Jacob

Nutn, I love your long form content. As a father of 4 I rarely have time during the week to check in on your videos. Three or four times a year when Im sick or just have a break in the schedule your channel is one I am always coming back to and binge. Been a subscriber and viewer for almost 15 year. Thanks for all the effort, and will still watch(when I can) regardless.
