I like to good surprises in gun testing. The Henry Arms "Lever Action Supreme" delivered on that account. It will be a fun, short POU discussion with me telling you why it's so different. Avail in .300 BO and 5.56mm, it will provide engaging service for your close to intermediate ranges. The features are mostly impressive with one downside that Henry should address in its Gen 2. But as it stands this will be a runaway best seller for Henry, mark my words.

Do not have time at the moment but looking forward to watching this one. Keep the levergun, revolver, and rimfire content coming...................

Sidebar request, what about silencers, I see you use them, yet not much is said as to why, how or what influenced your choice. Thanks and as alway.....Ramble On!!!

Cant wait to watch this after work. Looks like a fun review. I hope you had fun Nutn!

I'm not a huge lever guy. I have a Golden Boy in .22lr that I basically never shoot. If I were to buy another one to look at. It would probably be one the S&W 1854's in 45/70 just because I think the cartridge is cool, albeit expensive. But I figure if most of the time I look at it anyway... It don't matter. Cool GRV!

I already have a L.A.S.R I 300blk. Absolutely love it. Have a sightmark wraith mini HD on it. Only complaint i have is sometimes I have to fight the mag release.

JFire

When I first saw this title on Henry’s site I was intrigued because it’s a weird mix of modern and classic. Good to see it performed well like the rest of the Henry lineup

Matthew Sinn

Had my eye on one of these for a little while, glad to see it's got Nutn's approval. Only two major types of firearms not in my safe yet, revolver and lever gun. This might likely be my next purchase and finally get me in to 300bk

Good option for us in Canada. Because it's lever action there's no restriction on mag capacity. Semi-auto would be limited to 5. But might be hard to get 10rd mags since they're compatible with AR platform. Not sure though, I'm not super familiar with the law on mag interchangeability. As far as I know, the H23 isn't on any banned list either. But it's a lib gov.. so wait a week and that could change lol.

Thanks for the review NUTN!! I've noticed this one several times in the gun store, and love that Henry is making vertical-stack-magazine lever guns. What do you think about the slight change in design to a non-exposed hammer on this vs if it had the traditional exposed hammer? Definitely keep the traditional firearm content coming, Lever, Pump, and Revolver for sure!!

Have the 556, i want the 300BO to SBR + suppress..

DudeDudeDude

This was a good review. These are almost an ideal hunting rifle for those of us that hunt eastern woods. Maybe I would like just a touch more power than the 300 BLK provides. When I think of it Arthur Savage pretty much made this rifle back in the late 1800s sans the ar mags. Probably should have linked back to your old Savage 99 review.

If Canik is jacking up prices on TP9s Shaun the TNP'r should be able to retire because he is sitting on a fortune.

A couple buddies are buying some cheapo mlok rail turkish lever gun lately. There's a little charm in the cheapness and rough hewn feel of those but it's really hard not to like a slick workin' Henry more. Now that we'll have no NFA tax we'll see if the industry really embraces these

Kyle Reese

An advantage over an AR in .300 blk with the Henry is running supers and subs without having to tune a gas system for a suppressor. Simplifies the setup greatly.

TNSheep

So glad Nutn grabbed the supreme. This is a game changer of lever guns. These are outright amazing.

TNSheep

There is a LOT that went into this gun. It's not standard lever gun parts or barrels. AR stuff essentially redesigned. And the absolute smoothest bolt ever. No knuckle beat up on these guys whatsoever.

TNSheep

You have to be careful if you're a lever gun guy, because the standard hold and pull to decock the hammer, well, gun gonna go bang. So there is some training choices that come into effect there. But with that hammer gone, it smooths up the bolt a ton. You can rack the 556 and 300blk with your pinky they are so smooth. While these are a bit pricey, its a henry, and they are really really good. Then they got the souped up version of it too with the carbon fiber barrel that Dave did a 1 mile shot with on the 556.

TNSheep

yeah, these take AR15 mags. =)

TNSheep

If you can shoot suppressed, always shoot suppressed. It saves your ears for starters. But its just so much more pleasureful to shoot suppressed. I dont know if any one suppressor is better than another. But it just makes things better. The only time they suck is rimfire, because... rimfire is already dirty, and it gets way more dirty with suppressors.

TNSheep

If this platform excites you, and you want more umpf. Be patient. =) I'd say more, but uhh, I can't remember what I'm allowed and not allowed to say.

Love me some lever guns
