Poor Man's Benelli Pump? Stoeger P3000

Comments

They're most definitely a part of it. Been called a street sweeper for a couple hundred years... not by accident.

shotgun is first line of home defense... it should be for most. ammo easy to get and train. slugs or shot.

I love shooting a 12 gauge. I enjoy it more than any other gun

+1 on the M3000 it is awesome. I was going to get a Win SXP until I found an M3000 for $280 at Scheels last summer. Need to finish my shotgun system lbe ammo carry, mag extension, flashlight, red dot, sling mounts, duck hunting barrel. Yeah, I’m going down the wonderful shotgun highway.

I'm short stature and I love my Benelli Nova tactical stoked with Fiochi low recoil #4 Buck

Love seeing shotgun content. I think the AR to shotgun ratio is really 2:1 not 12:1. A pump shotgun is still my go to for homestead use. No way I would choose one for bugging out, survival or WROL but as someone who spent their teens woodswalking with a WIN 1200 in my hands I still prefer a shotgun. I am actually a natural shot even with buckshot and slugs. Shooting one comes naturally to me versus rifle and pistol shooting. No drill and tap is a huge miss. Years ago I would not have said so but a dot is a really good option for a defense shotgun these days. The forend that covers the loading port is not a huge issue to me as the lifter is down anyways when the foreend is back but I accept that the point about pinching is a legitimate complaint.

TD about had a hernia trying to rip that fart.

I've actually have more shotguns than I do AR's... But not more than I have tactical rifles haha. I have that TX3 based on your review, great budget shotgun! My next shotgun purchase will most likely be one of those MAC 1014s.

Solid review Nutn. I highly recommend sourcing a Maverick 88 as a ‘budget shotgun cast member’ for future pump shotgun evaluations. It still is the standard for budget pumps.

I'll stick with my 870's (4)...I would buy an FN SLP if it ever found it's way to me though.

Love Stoeger!!

Agreed and with shotgun you are less likely to shoot through a wall and accidentally kill someone unintentionally on the other side.
