If I see a trend I might make a video on it. I have lots of ideas coming but will seek your input on the next Philosophy Video.

What was it like when you first had kids? Was it a big transition for you? Did you find it hard, gratifying, scary?

Nutn, if you were young man right now, would you still join the military? I'm a 28-year-old physician, and I've always envisioned building a career in the military, but it seems much has changed for the worse since the GWOT era. (BTW, my father was in the Utah ANG for almost 30 years.)

How do you deal with burnout. I’m grinding and pushing through, work and career progression still moving along. But dude I am spent. Crazy hours, ridiculous management, rounds of layoffs (still standing, for now), dumb decisions from management moving the business into the ground, AI shoved down my throat every day, dudes doing their jobs worse than remotely acceptable…. I’ll do what I need to do for the family, but it’s a mental and sometimes physical push and sometimes it’s so hard to lock in.

I apologize for the length of this one in advance. In my daily life I strive to carry a firearm to a high percentage for the sole purpose of protecting me and my fiance. In my professional life as far as concealed carry goes I am navigating a hurdle that I can only describe as a legal-ethical-moral sewer. I work in EMS as a county employee as an AEMT in Kansas and across the board the state is fantastic for 2A rights and there is a state law preemtption that protects a first responders right to carry on the job. What I observe is a drastic change in policy from smalller town pro-2A to big town or more liberal areas of the state. The first issue I have had with carry is the legal issues that can arise because responding to 9-1-1 calls you have zero say in the location you respond to so it may be a school, post office or other federal building or restricted access building ESPECIALLY jails and prisons. While ambulances have a locked cabinet or safe for storing narcotic medications in I can disarm prior to entering these buildings. I still have concern for it as my partner does not know I carry or could report or cause issues if it is a policy violation but still legal. Second issue comes down to safety and how fucked up our world is, we respond to every kind of mental health crisis, domestic violence, or just existing in the world we can be targeted now by violent crime or terrorism (Referencing Shawn Ryan and Sarah Adams). So how do I as someone that has family and with a fiance and possibly starting a family NOT carry? For me it has been 4 years in this field and I have not carried prior to now, I frequent level 1 trauma centers in the nearest metro from where I work which is rural and 1 hour away so while my chances of having issues in my rural working town are less I will still go to a major city with high violent crime. Specifically these hospitals have had people shot or stabbed on their premises. While my empployee handbook cannot specifically prohibit the carry I am also concerned about the state licensing board causing an issue of creating an unsafe environment for a patient if a defense scnario had come up. My legal and moral issues seem to fight each other because if I had to defend myself with lethal force and running away was not an option I would likely still be charged, fired, and then face the legal and financial burden. On the flip side I would also be maimed or dead. There is also some stigmas in my field that EMS and Fire should not carry guns for protection because we "Do no harm" or we "just call for law enforcement" yet the number of calls I have needed a cop on and because we are a rural county with one or two deputies on at a time makes their response time possibly 30 minutes and My partner and I could be dead by then. Not to mention active shooter scenarios if we were on a call in a business that was targeted. Any advice or Nutn words of wisdom would be appreciated, but at this point I am moving to carry on shift. For legal protection I have examined Attornies on Retainer (actual name) as a possible option and because it is not Insurance there is some state legal benefit. I strongly oppose LegalShield or USCCA for this protection option. Thanks Nutn.

Reintegration into society after leaving the military, or law enforcement. I've been out of law enforcement a little while now and (while it's probably not obvious to most people) I am still carrying hypervigilance, that cynical sarcasm and dark sense of humor, and "always on" (what my dad would have called war emergency power) thing. It's exhausting.

I don’t think we can. America is a sinking ship

GMAX

Elon thinks we are in a simulation, what are your thoughts? If we are, what is the reason? I personally believe we are.

Joseph

No I served. I wouldn’t do it again. It did alot for me, because I was hopelessly poor. But Unless you want to fight for the United States of Israel Our country is being run by globalists, the Isreal lobby, billionaires, the war industry and corporations It’s no longer by the people and for the people. The military will remove you from any ability to do anything but serve them. You would be much better off finding enjoyment in life through becoming self reliant. Able to grow all your own food, have your own water and not need the government anymore. Our country will never go back to the people if we never show the government, that we don’t need them to live. If you are just wanting to save lives in a military way. Go volunteer in Ukraine as a doctor. You’ll be useful there. No you won’t make money. But is that why we become doctors? No Serve the militia when the time comes in this country There will be a lot of human lives in need Don’t waste your time working for the war industry

Joseph

Become self reliant and not need The government

Joseph

Leave bro Hush leave Especially if you don’t have kids If you do have kids. Prove the abuse and addiction and get them out I’ve been divorced for your exact reasons It will never get better. They have gone through so many steps and could have stopped at any point in time. Just let go. If they don’t respect you. Run for the hills. The Bible even says it’s better to leave than live like that

Corbin McNeal

What is the real christ take on what we should do regarding our country, regarding current conflicts. From what I understand of the Bible. We just spread love and peace and continue to hold our breath till they start trying to charge us for air.

Joseph

He’s part of the anti christ system Don’t listen to people like that You have been beautifully and wonderfully created by God In order to believe in a simulation to begin with . You have to believe that originally somebody came from somewhere that made the simulation. And if we were able to be created which I believe we are because you look at how detailed and meticulous our bodies are I mean, the Earth is a perfect distance from the Sun to support human life That’s no accident But anyway, in order to believe that we were first created and then God just stepped aside and let some assholes put us in a computer simulation That is just absolutely ridiculous So yeah, I wouldn’t believe that quack

Joseph

I really want you to talk about the only real solution we have left at this point. And that is people getting self-sufficient like we were before the government had so much control over us . Before we had a delicate supply chain and infrastructure Where we were fully dependent on the grid and buying all of our food and pretty much everything we need from a corporation paying us. Going to Walmart is like going to the Company store. Walmart is almost like its own government at this point. The only way we can rebel without violence. Is if everybody gets self-sufficient grows all their own food goes back to a communal family compound system. The same system that humans have used for thousands of years.. This would put all the power coming from the bottom instead of the top down again The government would see that we don’t need them anymore And honestly, at that point, everybody should just stop paying taxes . They can’t put us all in jail Now that’s a tall order that’s going to take everybody deciding to do without the beer and television. Being comfortable That is what is stopping us from being self reliant and independent people are too comfortable they would rather do what is easy just go run on the hamster wheel at a little shit hole job. Then come home and eat goy slop on the couch. Just watching Netflix and have sex . As long as people have their bread and circus, they’re going to stay in these chains. Even Russia, which is debatable if it’s still a communist country or not . A lot of people they grow all of their own food and they’re not poisoned by a bunch of shit like in the united corporation of America

Joseph

"How easily they can be manipulated! How effortlessly the System provides them with their daily bread and circuses—or perhaps more accurately, their beer and television!"

High living costs relative to wages. Not the politics but how to deal with the reality constructively. How do I grieve some dreams for the future that may no longer be realistic and build a new attainable vision for the future? How do I get past the frustration of “having done everything right” and still feeling like the economic rug has been pulled out beneath me?

We live very rurally in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Every winter when it's been cold and snowy for months, and every summer when there's high humidity and mosquitoes, we start looking at moving to a dry high-altitude western state. I'd love it if you would give us an in-depth comparison of long-term sustainability on a homestead between the eastern woodlands and the western desert/mountains - during ROL and in case of WROL. Thanks for all the great videos!

As we patriotically celebrate our nation's 250 birthday, how do we realistically regain our real Independence from our compromised politicians and Israeli control? Our politicians are CONQUERED by Israel either by blackmail (like via Mossad asset Jf Ep), bribery (like AIPAC $), or threats (they usually are in the category of blackmail or bribery). They influence are fake "elections", commit genocide, suck our tax money dry, and put us into unprovoked endless wars spilling American blood for their benefit. The Great Awakening is happening. Too much too type but a Nutnfancy video on this would be great. America First 🇺🇸

the guy you know

Hey nutn can you think about maybe doing a video for the young men like myself. Who have kids how do we beat the system when it comes to Cost of living? Can we save the country will my kids see the America me and you grew up with

Bill

I’d like to see a video on the reality of keeping a family together and functional. If your family isn't in order, every other pursuit will eventually suffer. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the active, day-to-day commitment needed to prevent dysfunction and keep the home front rock-solid.

Bravo

Geez accidentally deleted my own comment. What does space exploration mean (to you) about the future of the human spirit and liberties? Bezos and Musk have shared thoughts on this and from what I’m seeing in EB sounds like you have philosophical thoughts about it too! If you got called by a prestigious academic institution - maybe one who you have political qualms with - to be their commencement speaker for graduating class of 2027 what would you tell those graduates? What is the role of legacy in a family? Or do you spare your kids the burden? What is the role of a dog (or other pet) in the family? In preparedness and other stuff. What are our responsibilities as pet owners? What is the best future of the American workplace to you? Lots of your reviews focus on value. Unsurprisingly a lot of those products come from overseas… should we be returning to manufacturing excellence or is it all service industry and AI? What are essential skills for modern (young) men? Hard skills preferably. Some of this would be cool to see an appearance by TD.

Bravo

I’d like to hear this from Nutn. Since the Project started in 44 BCE (I think first review was gear testing on the knife that killed Caesar- a Becker or Kershaw I think, can’t remember) I’ve been amazed at the long term resilience he’s shown to keep going. I would have thought he’d have said “I came, I saw, I conquered. The bunker is paid off. Peace.” Not that you asked but this is a pet peeve of mine as a career corporate degenerate - Burnout is like Catch 22. I don’t see evidence it is real. Catch 22 is an excuse for “I don’t want to do this thing or take responsibility so I’m going to make up some kind of un achievable precondition so I can defer blame.” Burnout like flame out or run out suggests the employee is weak and has run out of gas. If something is jamming your chi, the team gets together and you focus fire on those bad THOTs. It’s temporary. There’s a plan to navigate the battle space. Everyone comes together and executes with extreme prejudice. You get unjammed. I have never heard anyone refer to corporate burnout in this way. Usually what they mean is “I don’t fit my job/org or hate what I’m doing but feel I can’t escape.” Could be incompetence but I rarely see that. Incompotents find another gig or dump what they can’t do on someone else. No burnout. I doubt that’s you. I’m guessing you are capable and reliable. We call those types heroes or fire fighters. The individuals are essential to an organization but are susceptible to enabling bad THOTs with their own excellence. Thus burnout. If you are properly resourced, compensated, and challenged you would not get burnout. You might get tired and take a vacation but then come back swinging. Everyone benefits. If you can’t do that something is wrong. You need to think long and hard about what. If you are burnt you can’t do your job effectively and can’t contribute value like you should at work or in your personal life. Enabling bad practices at a company by being a hero is not burnout. It is detrimental to you, your coworkers, and the customers. The company will be worse off long term if you stay and take beatings. Your mileage may vary but I have never thought it is the employee’s responsibility to overcome burnout (again we are assuming you are not a lazy incompetent degenerate). Your responsibility is to quantify the problem with the team and fix it. If that doesn’t work it’s your responsibility to bail, let an ineffective org die, and find a place to be happy/valuable. Never justify the abuse.

Boyce L

I saw one comment on burnout which would be awesome. On that same topic, ideas on how the discern when it’s time to make a change and when you should stay the course. I do think continuing to learn is vital even if you stay on the same career/path; but just kind of the itch to cut bait or is that change the wrong response to the situation when maybe patience and perseverance is the right call. Maybe it’s a total career/life change or relatively major.

How to deal with unfulfilled desires: r.e.: On occasion youve mentioned the babies you and your wife lost, something my wife and I have suffered as well. How did you help your wife cope? Perhaps this may not work for everyone here, but I'd be curious as to what you need to do to find a good woman/wife in this day and age. I'm a millenial man who gave up on dating back in late 2019 after a bad relationship and I got very jaded with modern dating. Do you have any advice for that topic? Obviously, the dating field has changed drastically in the last few decades.

Your thoughts are needed on overseas war and it's effects on USA society. We've seen a long conflict end fairly recently, which seemed to redece anxiety and urgency in people. Now the new one, which needed to happen, brings that anxiety back a little. I am almost 70. Am I overthinking this? I need perspective, not the news.

Paul Kwiatkowski

everybody knows who the jerks are. Keep up your company momentum and your identity. Figure out the tough times that's why you make the big bucks. It took me two years to get away from boss's boss, worst person ever, but it cost my career's momentum. I find that painful, even after 3 years of retirement.
