So I'm thinking about commissioning a small run from an American automatic knife maker, producing a real cool small auto.  How many should we do?  I'm thinking about 100 or 200.  Price will be about $195 I think.  Also which color?

Can't say which knife it'd be yet!  I haven't used this maker before and I haven't done a knife like this yet.

Blue/Black if I picked. Orange is awesome, but the electric blue is kinda the staple of your special blades.

I love the look of orange handle and black blade, but blue is TNP. You need to do at least 200, though maybe do 100 in blue, 100 in orange and 100 in FDE. That way TNPP'rs can get the one they want and it's still really limited in numbers.

Two hundred is still a very limited amount. I think two hundred blades would be a good number. The blade will still be super rare worldwide. Like you've discussed in past special edition blade releases. Were not only competing against ourselves but rather the guru knife collectors. That might buy four or five at once. At least the larger number might insure that more of us are able to score one. I'm still kicking my ass for missing out on the ROK release. Unfortunately by the time I got to it they were gone!

How about this Nutn since our favorite colors will most likely be FDE and blue. Personally I've always loved the classic TNP blue myself. Perhaps consider doing two batches produce a hundred of each color. That will accomplish two thing's by offering a color selection and the higher two hundred blade count. While still making the individual blades super rare because of the two different color options. I don't know it seems like a reasonable idea?

I didn't get my mail-in ballot. You must have sent them all to some democratic office where they are filling in votes for FDE and orange. All TNP blades are supposed to be blue. Every God-fearing, red-blooded American knows that.

Bokers were really cheap at just $55 each, selling for lots more now. This would be USA produced, more expensive but worth it. Just getting a feel on how many units we should run.

All 3 are good options. However I’d say purple handle with a black blade. You could do 500 and they’d be gone in less than a week.

Colored blades increase cool and fondling factor. Two hundred run should be sufficient for Patreon member's Christmas list. TNP blades are always a special event.

🤔Knurled or Smooth? Traction is good, but not adding it might keep the cost down whilst providing an option to buyers. 'to tape mod, or not to tape mod.' I'm open either way. 🙂

I love FDE just as the next tacticool guy, but I feel like unless it's a fighting blade at least 3.5" but really should be 4" or larger it's not real necessary. For a blade 2.5" you don't need FDE this is a fun size knife not a bugout/zombie apocalypse fighting knife.

FDE is great, but a bit common these days. Any company that does it would likely do more in the future so the 'special' wouldn't look as rare. What about that cool Anodized Green color like the Geissle OD has? That stuff is cool

You can own it in CA, but you just can't carry it, for me I don't mind since my TNP knives I like to collect vs carry. Though it's stupid now you can't carry a auto in some places since assisted and some flippers are just as fast now as autos.

TNP blue is a standard now. If you need, offer 2 colors, but I like the color as an indicator of the TNP blades.

I went with a "known" entity, FDE. Orange has the potential to look sick, on the right knife. Blue is cool, but I like darker blues more. Any TNP knife is cool. I managed to snag one of the TNP Ultratechs a while back. Can't wait to see what's coming. Thanks Nutn.

Well at 950 votes so far probably should get at least 300, I'm thinking now it would be cool to do 200 in FDE, 125 in TNP blue and 75 in orange or something along those lines. That way the main color choice gets the most and Guys that want TNP blue can theirs and then Orange would be the rarest of the bunch and very collectible.

You should do 1,000 of them. (There are already more than 1,000 votes and lots of people bought 2 last time. A lot of people missed out on being able to get one.) Man, I wish I could talk myself into spending $195 on a knife. Maybe this will help with that battle. I'm just getting into knives and have picked up about 2 dozen so far but most of those are $20 to $40 Kershaw. I just don't cut the tape on enough boxes to justify a high-dollar box opener... :-)
