Come on along for the actual mountain adventure with Mrs Nutnfancy and I.  The X4 is our transport as we launch from the desert valley and go high into the mountains.  I researched and found this ride on Google Earth, figuring there must be some good ATV trail near the High Unitas.  Patreon donors will have access to my trail information, see below!

We achieve a surprising altitude and are stunned by the views.  Lunch is simple.  Another purpose of this expedition is scouting for camping areas and we find many.  We see no one else up there and enjoy our solitude.  Mountain goat, bald eagles are spotted.  Lots of mountain flowers too.  It was a long tow to get there and a lot of work to make it a reality but you'll see it's worth all the effort.  This is one of the coolest places we've found yet.

UPDATE SEP 2020:  This whole area we show here was the spot of a raging wildfire, much has been charred I am told.  This video record "Windswept" will be historical therefor as it will sadly take generations for this East Grandaddy Mountain area to recover.  So sad.  These might be the last extensive video recordings before the forest fire.

I love the Wilderness Adventures. I haven't been able to get out with everything that's been going on, so it's great to break away and live vicariously for awhile. Thanks, Nutn.

BrewDaddy

How well did the rig do at the highest elevations and the lack of O2? I guess it did okay since you two made it back, so..... ;) Great vid!

The Nutnfancy Project

It chugged along pretty good. The hill climb I show was moderately steep. I couldn't have done it with a full load of steel though.

The Nutnfancy Project

That's a main purpose of these, thanks for watching and staying in Patreon for me. I need it!

Patriot One

Love it dude! Do short multipart adventures..

James Dillman

Gorgeous country. I’m missing my annual fishing trip to Canada because the camp couldn’t open. I’ve been going for thirty-three years. This helps ease the pain a little bit. Thanks.

Josh P.

Absolutely love this NUTN

Josh P.

We have good views in Missouri here and there but my gosh I need to make a trip west

Mike Maddox

Beautiful country we live in. Always a good way to show case it.

Ben Wagner

Have you told us about the comm headsets you’re using?

The Nutnfancy Project

I can if you'd like. They are PelTor Lite Comms. Range aint too great but they are great for close use and they are rugged. Maybe I can review them.

Antwon Harris

This video reminded me of when my grandmother and I flew to Alaska, passing by Mt McKinley. The mountain view made me think of the long ride from Fort Wainwright to walk on a glacier. Freezing but great. Loved this Nutn!

Lon N

I wouldn't get squat done with that for a backyard instead of miles of corn. Views like that, you are gonna need a bigger rifle & a 50x scope.

RowdyRon

Wow, that was freaking awesome. Worth every penny of patreon money. Heck, if I knew you were taking this stunning trip I would have pitched in a few bucks for gas! Really made my day watching this. Some really funny bits as well. Thanks Nutn.

Laylit

Man what an excellent video! Very well made, thanks a lot 👍 I feel sorry for the pines though. Would be a cool thing to call an airstrike and do some chemical bombing, so all the stupid pine bugs go UUUUOOOAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGHHHH and fucking die!!!! 😂😂 So the landscape could recover

bcbrin

The Wolverine is really pulling its weight in the project these days. This is definitely reminiscent of earlier wilderness adventures, but more mobile. As always, inspiring me to get my pack ready and go adventure!

Josh P.

You keep making this amazing stuff, I'll keep supporting

tmobile8

Personally I love the TNP Wilderness content. Gear is always cool, but there is nothing like seeing what life is truly like out in remote places like this. Thanks for sharing!

Another fantastic video Mr. & Mrs. Nutn. I'm one of the few who loves these wilderness videos please keep them coming. One more thing, fantastic music choices on these videos, don't let anyone tell you different.

TweetleBeetle

Thank you for this post, your adventure videos are important and inspiring. Thank you for taking us along with you and the Mrs.

Charles New

Great vid, great location. Love the moto/adventure stuff. Thanks.

Beck

I like it!

Oh my, very nice Mr & Mrs Nutn. So reminds me of growing up in Santa Ynez Valley Ca. before the libs took it over. We were surrounded by the Serra Madre’s in Los Padres National Forest. Big country & didn’t have motorized Wolverines at the time, We traveled the back country via horseback and everyday working cattle. Good times, but saw it coming with the illegals and with Jerry Brown’s taxes, we headed out of there in 76. But yes, this country has a lot of beautiful countryside to offer, Thanks for the ride along.

Benson Huntley

Outstanding location, very great use of the X4. Thanks for the video Nutn.

Ben Wagner

Thanks. Radios are a weak area in my system, so I appreciate the info. I live in PA and recently got to see western Colorado for the first time in person. We live in a beautiful country and your adventure videos really show it well.

Anthony Schaad

Badass video Nutn! This TNPr definitely doesn’t want you to stop the adventure videos. I just got back on a little adventure of my own, if ur ever in WV, check out Stonecoal lake . I think it’s man made but it’s so clean and secluded. Great place to kayak n fish. Wolverine looks like it’s handling just about any task, I know my X2 is really indispensable... jus started a great adventure vehicle! Anyway that trip was epic, and can’t wait to see what’s around the next corner!

David Goodridge

Oh Man what a great video! Your Wolverine is a Time Machine. It gives glimpses to the world as it should be, and as it was before the Pine beetle and concrete moved in. I’m here in Oklahoma and it’s mostly flat and private land. I don’t get round much, crappy knees. My wife of 42 years is handicapped and my time is spent taking care of her and my 4 dogs. I used to say one day I see places like this, but now I know I won’t. But with your Time Machine I get to travel to the awesome places and for a few minutes see what the Mountain Men saw. Thank you Sir. I’ll stay a member as long as I can. Thank you

Eric Kelley

I must be getting old —- but DAMN that music at the end was beautiful!

Trey

More epic riding with Nutn! I love it. I also enjoyed the Multi tool review the other day.

Joshua S

Beautiful for the eyes and ears from beginning to end. I've been enjoying the sky so much lately during my neighborhood walks, that I might pass out if I was there with you taking in all that raw nature at once. I'm still recovering from years of video games... More wilderness therapy please!!!

Dione Kollee

Loved this wilderness adventure vid Nutn! A nice change of pace from all the other great content. Blessings to you & the family

Christopher Davis

Not to sound like a total fanboy, but I like *all* your content, Nutn. Even if it's a video on a piece of gear I'll never buy or a place I'll never go, everything you do exudes passion, authenticity, and honesty. That's why I watch, and why I support the Project. P.S. The double owl is on the shed! 😉

Michael Morris

I generally watch your wilderness stuff... always looking for places I want to go, sometimes to enjoy places I will never get to. Not because I couldn't... but life as you know doesn't always lend itself to doing everything you want. We have and ride ATV's and have for many years... but we do plan to get a side by side... as we get older it's probably more appropriate. Although I would say your ride seems pretty rough. Can you ease the suspension some?

The Nutnfancy Project

It is good to switch it up, I too like that. Blessings to you as well Dione, thanks!

The Nutnfancy Project

Thank Robert, Utah is indeed so scenic and have such epic areas. I think geographically CA is my fave so far though.

The Nutnfancy Project

I do need to soften that ride up...I have been remiss in doing that! Great to hear you're a fellow ATV rider Michael. Note the coords above for this ride if you ever make it out this way.

david rockwell

We are indeed fortunate to have such an opportunity to experience nature's beauty. The vista itself is a soothing balm that serves to replenish one's true self. Thank you for sharing the journey.

Steve Naylor

Hi mrs nutnfancy, we love your cameos in the vids. I was camping in Tooele with my wife. One night at about 2:30 AM I was awakened by a guy who had walked right up to our tent. I’m assuming he was a poacher because he had a bow and arrows and we were camped about 100 yards from a game trail. It’s super creepy to wake up to someone looking in your tent.

Sheepdog

27:05 WOW! The brilliant blue sky is just incredible!

The Nutnfancy Project

Fun Anthony! I am planning on doing an adventure in WY soon, probably Elizabeth Pass Ridge – Table Top. I'll make a note of that lake. It sounds xlnt. Congrats on the X2!

Negolfman

Loved seeing this Epic vid! Maybe your mirror idea could be patented and sold through Invent Help https://info.inventhelp.com/ or 1-800-Invention and then there’d be plenty of time for making videos like this? Maybe a future suggestion for mountain vids in CO, WA, NM, OR, ID & CA.

The Nutnfancy Project

Thank you so much David for that super quality comment. It will spurn me on to do more adventures for you. That's really what it is all about; allowing my TNP friends to live these adventures by proxy. I'm blessed with what I'm able to do and health for now so I get out and get as much done as I possibly can. Can't do it without you! I hope your wife and dogs are well there in OK!

Daniel Herb

Thanks for the adventure! Always good to see some awesome beautiful USA countryside while I'm overseas

Tomcat503

Excellent video...more adventure videos please!

Sheepdog

22:02 The close-up of the purple flowers and the mountains in the background. What a beautiful scene!

Sheepdog

I think the lack of backpacking companions falls under your "workers are few" stories of your father.

Logan Holmberg

I love your wilderness vids. And I'm liking the ones you do with Mres Nutt'n. You ever thought of doing a seperate channel were you can post these vids too? I"m guessing your gun vids are a turn off to allot of the adventure crowd and they just see you as another gun nut and get turned off by it. Then again maybe your adventure vids bring in the other side too who enjoy or don't care about your gun vids as well. I wonder if its an experiment to try and see if another channel of your adventure vids devorced from your other channels would work? Just chg the titles and see if you can find ways to keep them from cross polenating to se if it grows. IMO people get to into their pollitics nowadays and just can't enjoy things for what they are.

luca bid

damn man. maybe you should rock over there and record an update.

Racing Psychosis

I won't be getting around to watching probably until next week, way too busy and ending the week with 3 straight days of racing. But wanted to chime, because yesterday you could clearly see the smoke here in western Wisconsin in the skies. Likely won't see it today as the jetstream is suppose to change a little bit. The west coast needs to fix their asinine timber policy, or just go ahead and burn the entire state of California and the others to ground to get it over with. For such so-called concerned environmentalists, they are sure good at polluting our skies here in the so-called flyover country.

Andrettski

Great vid Mr. and Mrs. Nutn. The wifey and I used to camp all the time with multiple couples/families but everyone is too busy to do it anymore. She and I won't go alone anymore because in the last 15-20 years people were randomly being attacked even killed whether in the mtns or the beaches. Even with my guns just didn't feel safe w/o more people with us. Those turkey sammies were in desperate need of lettuce, tomatoes and or cranberry relish, just sayin'. And we would NEVER leave our doggers home

JDCoy

June 1 Was our 35th wedding anniversary:) Would have been over, but God saved my wife in 1993 and saved me in 1994. It was all over but the paperwork, and now we are best friends. Jesus has had quite an affect on our lives. Thank God.

Matt

Beautiful footage. Fortunately wildfires are a part of nature, and the region will come back twice as healthy and beautiful once it recovers.
