WE makes many of the high end blades you see from other brands.  Ferrum Forge comes to mind.  They also crank out their own designs like the 704: a slender flat ground M390 trailing point blade.  It has striking looks and  comes in some handsome variations.  The light purple/blue version (G model) is shown here.  Speed, lockup, clip, sharpness are all top notch as we would expect at this price level.  I don't have any blades just like this to compare it to!  So we'll have some fun with other options instead.

Even though its an expensive knife, I still want/need to get some other (less expensive) knives in the collection before i get on the WE train. And this is coming from a Microtech and Protech knife owner!

I'm pretty impressed with WE's quality after picking up a Banter. With all their numbered models, it's easy to lose track of what they have to offer. Appreciate you investing the time to highlight lesser known options, I probably never would have noticed this knife otherwise. The 704 is pricey, but it's not quite so outrageous I'd feel bad about using it. It still seems practical enough to make for a unique HEC option. Great review!

Great blade it's definitely more on the high end. I'm holding out on expensive blades for now until the next TNP blade comes out. To me that's way more special and worthwhile owning. Thanks for another fun video keep it up Nutn.

I'm surprised you didn't bring out the Lion Steel ROK TNP custom as a price point competitor. Definitely a different animal design-wise (pun intended), but better than nothing, right?

Adam Boyd

I have a Real Steel Archangel that would be a great competitive option if you like that WE, but don't have that much money to spend.

I love WE knives. I'm glad they changed out the proprietary hardware with normal torx screws on their somewhat newer stuff. Every WE knife that I have are all super smooth with good detent. Hopefully one day you will also try the Banter. I just recently picked it up and love it.

Great, I saw the Ganzo knives make an appearance. I checked them out on Amazon, and grabbed two of them. By the way, my wallet wanted me to tell you that it hates you : )

By the way, I would like to thank you for putting out this content. There is so much negative content out there right now, and I come here to escape all of the horse s&$@. You keep things light and entertaining, and I genuinely appreciate what you produce. It is well worth the money (x10). I honestly, and sincerely thank you. Have fun, stay safe (from a former ED nurse:), and keep on keeping on. You help us everyday escape for a few minutes, and that IS important.

Sorry, but being that budget knife guy, I bought the Ganzo in several colors. At $25 each, I can have a full pallet of fashion colors for less that half of this one. If I was a gentleman then I might need one.

Thanks for the KRV on WE, I haven't opened up the wallet for one yet, but been buying several of the Civivi line from them. The Civivi "Shredder" I recently got similar to the 704 style and I love it. I'm a huge CRKT/Ken Onion design fan and never heard of that Helical and will soon acquire. 2 new recent ones I'm diggin is an Artisan cutlery Archaeo and a Kizer Begleiter for a wicked sale price of $39.99. I just got a Technomarine from Jomashop for $99, I couldn't find a Nutn review anywhere, would love to know your opinion

This model is a bit older. They have since converted to torx on all their newer models, Though they still have the captive D-post pivot with the WE logo on the back side. I have always wanted one, but I find I like to eat and stay married better. BTW: They also make a $233 all titanium balisong comb if you are interested.

I like your watch reviews, does that make me an elite member?

Nice review. Any chance of you guys doing another Microtech Ultratech run? Myself and several other friends want one after watching your videos and would love to pick up a nutn 2.0 ultratech!

Kenny just supporting the project monthly on Patreon makes you one of the elites bro keep it up 👍

I think panning over to the bins full of things to be reviewed was a great idea!

Cool blade, but the only knife in my collection at that high of a price point is the recent TNP Lion Steel blade, and that was a stretch for me that I only did because of the TNP connection. The competitive options are more in my typical 'value' segment and much appreciated. I may pull the trigger on a CRKT Helical. While gathering some knives to sharpen yesterday, I realized I've got enough knives in my collection now that I need to be careful not to show them all to my wife at one time, or I might start getting a lot of push back on any new acquisitions.

One competitive option that I have in my collection is a recently acquired Civivi Baklash that I got from Drop for an incredible $43. It has great lines, outstanding fit and finish, with cool blue G-10 scales, and came with a zip up nylon case with polishing cloth. It took a few months from order to receipt, but it was an incredible deal. Now available at BHQ for the same price.

Please review the blue shop towels.

Lol they are great.

Beautiful looking knife!
