Let's head out to the mountains! We grab the dogs and prepare for a multi faceted adventure. Not exactly knowing the snow levels and the road closures we head up first in the Yamaha Wolverine X4, a TNP workhorse at this point. The dognesses are with us and you'll get to know Macy the Mountain better in this outing...she's a hoot!  She's always up for any of my adventures as you'll see.

We get skunked on our Plan B and you'll see why. So we bomb a bit in a cool snow gulley in the X4. Macy wants to run and run and does so at 28 mph uphill in the snow btw.  Sean's dog Penny is here too but she's kind of a pussy and likes riding in the Wolverine better.

Then we rip down the road to get cellphone signal to investigate other roads with our map apps. No go. We'll show you our most xlnt campground; a place we'd never go in the summer but with snow everywhere it's pretty deserters.  Just a few burners is all. Then we go hiking to a scenic area in the snow and take you along.  Another part will show my simple but scrumptious breakfast.

Sean the TNPr is the trusty and always fun and capable crew member on this outing!

Connor Murphy

Yay outdoor adventures! I love 'em. By the way, nice photoshop work lately, like the walleye whacking.

The Nutnfancy Project

Thanks Connor...more of that to come for sure, it's just funny! Thanks for watching my Twitter and Gab feeds too.

Todd Strelka

Wow, this is awesome! Thanks for sharing. I always wondered what that area looked like in the winter. I agree. Way to many people to camp there in the summer.

Adam Boyd

That was fun. Nice to see Macy coming along too 👍

TheOlsonOutfit

Right on. I was just wondering how Macy was doing.

RowdyRon

Wow, that was really freaking cool. The dogs sealed the deal. Thanks Nutn.

Racing Psychosis

Saw that picture for the video in my email, and thought is that Nutn's head on a hobbit's body?

Chris Adkins

Awesome adventure, thanks for sharing it with us, Nutn! I'm curious, can you share the details of which sleeping bags you guys used and how they performed at those temps?

SteveT

YES! Outdoor adventure vids!

Eric

Awesome! Looks fun!

The Nutnfancy Project

Yes! I used a 0º North Face winter mummy bag I had brought b. I thought we'd be backpacking. It was good but too constricting for camper shell camping. I will make a purchasing advice video on sleeping bags.

Chris Adkins

Noice! You can probably tell that's what I was hoping for, some more advice, I'm going to do some winter camping up here in MN. Also full bonus points for rocking the Steyr, what a great little BladeRunner lookin' blaster.

Zack Harris

Love the adventure vids, got the fam and dog out yesterday for fresh air n sledding adventure too. Thanks

Guy Actual

Between the PRTB50-2 and the PRT-6600Y which would you recommend? I'm leaning to the 6600 as I'm not concerned about bluetooth, but wondering if I'm missing something? Also, I like the illumination of the 6600y

Douglas Pack

I’m so excited to watch this but I have to work, and school tonight. Can’t wait. These are my favorite ones. You need to get into ham radio Nutn. You’d love making contacts from those heights.

Sean

Black pine -10 sleeping bag. It’s mummy style, but very roomy. I tend to sleep pretty cold,so I usually need a bag that’s rated 20 degrees lower than actual temp. It was almost too warm for this trip and is NOT for backpacking. It’s big,but perfect for winter camping out of a vehicle.

J Ram

I second brother Steve!! And feature length!!! Love'em.

allenc

Great video. Creepy thumbnail tho

Chris Marchi

Great video. I really enjoyed it.

Tacticaldoodle

What're you talking about? Perfect photoshop job!

Tacticaldoodle

I'd lean towards the 6600, for some reason their BT functionality is still lagging. I'd love for them just to add some media player buttons onto a pro trek, but all they seem to be able to handle is a pedometer. Maybe once the Casio brass retires (more likely, dies off, they're never gonna leave) they'll let the engineers bring it up to speed. I'd be resale will be better for the non-smart ones in the future, too. People prefer nothing to low quality implementation.

Pat McGroin

Good adventure. Thanks gents.

Zachary Jackson

You gotta try hiking into fifth water hot springs while it’s snowed out. It’s not that bad and there’s a hot springs at the end of it.

Guy Actual

Thank you Tacticaldoodle! I have a Casio Protrek WSD-F20, and even though it has a smidgen of soul, its not a proper long battery life watch. I need one with the ability to go without recharging every night. I also want a winder in the event of a long term power out situation, but that's next on the list and a much easier choice.

Anthony Schaad

The adventure vids are totally my favorite Nutn! Being and outdoorsman myself... love the vid !!

Andrettski

Maybe it'll be in part 2 but would have liked to know what the evening menu plan was. I also checked out the Casio PRO TREKS and they had this Japan import one with global positioning looked RAD, unfortunately this line of Casios are out of my league. Thanks guys and dognesses.

tmobile8

Fantastic video! The footage of Macy running in front of the wolverine in the snow ears flapping in the wind was unreal. That is one lucky Labrador!

Sheepdog

I really enjoy the adventure vids. Looks like you and Sean had a good time.

Schmuckatelli

I just noticed that the thumbnail is your face on Sean's body. And...it's the same shot of your face from the bunji-jumping pic you posted on Gab! That's hilarious!

The Nutnfancy Project

We'll talk about the night's food at breakfast time...just samiches so I didn't film that. Breakfast you'll see though.

The Nutnfancy Project

Hello Troy! She's a fun little gal and she does lead a good life. We treat all our dognesses like gold. I have them work lots, like running, and that makes them happy.

kristooper

Love the adventure vids especially when you get out into the snow and get a fire going. Definitely excited to see the rest of the trip.

James Dillman

Great video. I’m sixty-five years old with health issues. My adventuring days are all behind me, but I can live vicariously through videos like this one. Keep ‘em coming.

Green Mountain Boys

I dunno how fast folks ride sleds in Utah, and maybe since it's a mixed use area they tend to be a bit more cautious; here that situation would be a disaster waiting to happen... I say this as a dog owner /lover and snowmobile rider, seeing a dog on the wrong side of a sled trail behind a blind corner makes me cringe. You clearly love your dog and I would hate for anything happen to her. Stay well.

Spenser Weese

More cool content. Keep it comin'!

andre6363@live.com

lol you just ripping on his dog the whole time! haha its funny because its true though..

Matt

Another great OA Video. Keep the Macy content coming. My dog and I both enjoy watching!

david rockwell

Enticing vistas and good friends make the trip worth taking. The evening meal is often the best part of the day after a long hike. Watching the fire while recalling events of the day makes for great memories. Thank you for the continued effort and dedication.

Art Jones

That's some wonderful countryside, Nutn.

CincinnatiDan (Ohio)

Love the adventure vids, awesome scenery we don’t have around here. Question, do you use that holster clipped to your belt or with the paddle tucked into the waistband?

CincinnatiDan (Ohio)

33:40 when i was in Scouts we didn’t leave our shelters like that. When we moved out, we were required to break everything down and return the area to the way we found it... no trash, no fire scars, no trace. Scoutmaster made us do pushups for every piece of trash he found after we told him it was clean.

Jon Doe

Legends. Maybe one day i can make a montage of american values enshrined in a blockchain, you'll be heavily in it nutn
