Another almost perfect high powered Olight.  Solving the limitation of power, this light and other Olights like it use the newer 21700 battery. This is an incredible power source, rechargeable many times, that opens up new capabilities.  Take a look at the in field performance. Then we'll consider the cool short-lived special editions like this one which add in a collectible element. A very capable high durability area light like none other I've tested yet.

Powernoodle

Most important, the Olight Seeker 2 is the light used by the Australian plumber on the Youtube channel Drain Addict. Highly recommended if you like seeing other people's feces spraying up like geiser.

Brandon Avery

Not seeker related but btw the olight warrior mini has problems with accidentally turning on and the light produces enough that it can light clothing on fire.

David Reiner

I just got the blue Seeker 2 pro. Outstanding light!

Christopher Davis

Always enjoy the Olight reviews. I’m guilty of being a bit of a flashaholic myself, and Olight makes it *way* too easy to spend money with all their flash sales and limited-edition lights. While I do collect Olights, I also EDC them daily and, like Nutn says, they are fantastic, pretty much regardless of the model you choose.

Jardine

It's hard to beat Olight.

Brandon Avery

Lol I still carry one just have to be careful, it burns very fast.

Kelly McClellan

I bought the m2r warrior pro based on your review. I love it, and not I'm pretty tempted to buy this

Lon N

Seeker 2's are a wonderful light. I have been using a blue one on my bump in the night pistol belt for about a year. Keep the good stuff coming Nutn... hint; Redpill 2 please.

Lon N

Yes they do, and I have done it. Lightsaber's need a safety.

Connor Murphy

Yay, Olight! Your fueling the addiction, Nutn!

steve garrett

I still prefer 18650 lights, I just picked up a fenix e28r that has been pretty nice. been using fenix PD 32's for years. if its over 1 inch diameter its too chunky for my pants.

Schmuckatelli

I bought a Seeker Pro 2 last December when they had the Carbon Fiber coloration. I think it's a hydro dipped application. It's an awesome light, but I am not a fan of their proprietary charging system. My EDC light is a Streamlight Macrostream with the Microstream in the fannypack as a backup. Both of those lights are USB rechargeable and I carry a charging battery that will recharge both of the lights as well as my phone. If Olight had a universal charging system, I would be a stage 4 gear-clinger.

Lon N

Umm, it is a USB charging system...with an improved interface at the light that won't leak water nor wear out like a conventional USB port will.

Nathan Simms aka Darkpriest

I really need to start buying some olights most of my utility flashlights are old two and three-cell mag lights which are heavy as hell so I really I do have an EDC light that is much lighter and smaller it is a lumen top tool AA 2.0 I really like it I've had it for about 3 years it does take AAA batteries I believe it might be double A and it's been really good to me but I need to start replacing my my utility lights with olights that are lighter and more functional I know the cost is going to be great but I mean it you know SAWC matters

Schmuckatelli

The point is you can only use an Olight charger on an Olight flashlight. I still love Olight, I just think they missed the boat on adopting a universal charging system. My Streamlight flashlights take a micro-USB connector which I already have dozens of all over the house.

steve garrett

I don't like using the integrated chargers. I just have a nitecore i4 that charges pretty much everything, double A's 18650s and 21700's I just keep 4 batteries on it charged up. pull a battery off and put the drained one on the charger and pop the charged on in the light. no down time.

Christopher Davis

What could be easier than slapping a magnetic charger on the end of your light, though? Yeah, it’s proprietary, but it’s darned slick and convenient.

Moe Mansour

I bought a Fenix P3D off your review back in the day. It's amazing how far lighting technology has come.

Clint Raby

Olight is yet another expensive habit draining my bank account that I have Nutn to thank for 😁. Lost count of how many I have. Love the seeker two, the indicator lights are very nice. Wish mine was that cool orange, but I'm not letting go of my FDE one. Olights make great gifts too, most people have no idea how awesome flashlights can be.

Joshua Pulliam

I have a 2 cell nitecore charger that charges everything for me. It works well.

Joshua Pulliam

I remember when having a 10 lumen mini mag light was cool!

Aaron Gross

Great vid Nutn! For a POU would dog walking light be good? Looking for a good one! Thanks!

Moe Mansour

Those were awesome in the 90's. We we're pioneers of EDC!

Bear Independent

I’ve got multiple of these, some for the house and some for the vehicles. My wife loves em for shooting possums and raccoons in the hen house after dark, even though everything we own has weapons lights mounted :/ that woman is so old school... hashtag homestead I guess.

Schmuckatelli

It's not an issue of ease of use. The Olight chargers are very easy to use. It's the fact that you can't use that charger on anything else. But I can use any micro-USB cable to charge my Streamlights. That makes it extremely convenient. My charging battery has a micro-USB cable built into it, so I can charge 2 flashlights, my phone, and my headphones with the same charging cable. You can't do that with an Olight charger.

Loki

Mostly its happened to people not using the lockout function. Olight offered full refunds for those who wanted it and gave silicone protectors and a free obulb for those who elected to keep theirs

Loki

Seems like an ideal light to have in your vehicle glove box. I think the Olight Warrior Pro X is a more direct competitor to that Acebeam.

Brandon Avery

Correct however a light should be always ready not non-functional when you need it.

DuginIN

I bought the Seeker 2 PRO limited edition blue in late May 2020. My EDC is a Baton PRO also in blue. Both are excellent.

Joshua Pulliam

I know! I would carry it in the junky nylon holster with my heavy and tip down Winchester knife when I was a kid. I thought it was cutting edge!

Michael Morris

I own 3 of the original seekers... I would like to have one of the new ones, but nothing wrong with my original 3 so I can't justify buying another one.

Gilberto Esquivel

That's a big mama jamma of a light. For my miles, I use an 1800 lumens Olight M2r Pro (red white and blue american flag edition) as my truck emergency light. It covers about 75 yards (the manual said 300 but whateves..) I was in Berdoo Canyon off roading when the sun went down and my shitty halogen lights on my truck could not and would not illuminate the trail properly...fearing getting stuck or worse landing sideways on a rock damaging my body, I told my wife, "get the OLIGHT out of the glove box, hold your arm out the window, and light the way ahead of us so we can get us the hell out of here." Jiminy Christmas! The little torch lit up the whole freaking trail and that's how we got off the trail and safely home! Olight is no joke y'all....but ya knew that already.

The Nutnfancy Project

Yes this would be xlnt. Also the S2R and Mini Warrior would be good. I use the former in running Macie

The Nutnfancy Project

I'm such a sucker for the colored versions. Both of these colors are amazing. I give lots of use to my standard black one too!

DuginIN

Me too. I have other models old and new in black etc. stashed in packs, chest rigs, vehicles, key chains, and around the house. Have used as gifts. Then there’s weapon lights. Black, gun metal gray, FDE and OD green with laser. Standard, mini, battery powered or rechargeable. Obviously I’m an Olight fan.

Jammerjim

One of my most used flashlights at home.

Daniel Defoe

This is the light I keep in my vehicles and by my back door. Warrior 2 in my storm shelter and a range of the 90-degree O-lights with headbands in my bags. Then of course the lights on my Saint and bedside XDS.

T Boy

Dang $139...great vid. Not sure I am into flashlights enough to justify that.....yet.

john milochis

I bought one nearly two years ago and use it everyday for work I love it works great and is very reliable

Beck

I just use mine as a home light, I'd rather carry an i3t EOS or an i1r 2 EOS

Brandon Avery

Beck why soooo tiny "uncle roger voice" all the lumens is the right amount of lumens.

Tacticaldoodle

I've really lost my self-control with Olight's new editions. I grabbed an Olight off the "open box"/Flash sale thing on amazon for $72 and love it.....but it's black. It'll look cool iwth wear but it's just not losing any of its finish. It's a hard choice if you want a do-all. The M2 is really focused and great for checking fields and lengths, while the seeker is flood light in about 25 yds. Seeker seems to last a real long time for me, too, more than the M2 (but I run that one higher). I suspect the seeker would be an okay weaponlight for closer in varminting, but it doesn't have the focus to pint critters out a distance as well.

Tacticaldoodle

Gotta say, been using that new purple/blue Perun II and it's fantastic. I'm glad I waited for the newer version, 21700 is my new base power module for most uses.

Tacticaldoodle

The mild upside is the special ones have a bit more resale value if you feel like the drawers are getting too heavy. You won't make a profit off them, but you'll come out alright.

Tacticaldoodle

I learned the other day that some PD's actually banned certain maglights by cell count, since they were too good for bludgeoning. Now, seems like guys wanna buy them for form 1 builds, however well that works. We still have the Lumentop AA's in bags as a lil' pocket illuminator when digging through packs. Good little performer.

Randy Eljimal

I love Olights. I just picked up the Odin mini! Thanks for the review!

Pat McGroin

I have so many Olight’s it’s not funny. You have to mention though. Made in China. I EDC a baton. Olight has so many cool options.

Owen Roe

Love mine. Great tool for the homestead.

david rockwell

Inexpensive Chinese flashlights have their place and use. When purchasing for critical/life saving applications, Elzetta, Cloud Defense and Surefire are rationalized choices. That being said, one can never have too many flashlights (or knives). Thank you for the continued effort and dedication.

Andrew Mullins

Cool video. Been carrying the Warrior mini as of late. Olight has it figured out.

Tacticaldoodle

I have a couple but didn't get enough of them to standardize on it so much. Had the 17650 in a couple fenix, but aside from the S20's I was using smaller cell rechargeables like a chump. 21700 is thick, but the batt life is pretty nice. Performance is cool and all, but having a complete ecosystem is worth more than modest performance increases. I timed mine out conveniently enough.

Daniel Herb

I picked up one of those orange Seekers last fall! Its amazing, keep it by the bed on the bracket stand. The color is fabulous, I just love the special colors Olight does.

Big Dog

love the light reviews

Lead Kisses

Has anyone seen the LUMINTOP TOOL AA flashlight? Tired of breaking Streamlight tailcaps and can't find a Surefire in t he size that I'd like.

Josh P.

I'd like to try the seeker 2 for checkin cows, really lightweight in comparison to what I use now! Keep it up Nutn

Moe Mansour

To be fair, it was kinda cutting edge back then. There was probably 0.1% of dudes carrying a knife and light daily.

Charles Wester

TBH I'm disappointed to see you promoting trash like Olight. I've lost a little bit of respect for you.

Paul Griech

I still have my surefires but Nutnfancy and his OLIGHT REVIEWS got me to buy a few of there lights I now own five! There in my edc notation. but the surefire titan still the rockstar it takes a beating and keeps working! There olight tailswitch get finicky on the 3Ts the 5t is my favorite I love that you can clip to your hat!

Tacticaldoodle

I'll start taking the "made in the USA" thing seriously when Surefire makes their LED's and modules domestic. From every indication I've seen digging around, they make the tubing and caps, since no one does the electronic stuff stateside.

Charles Wester

That's fair. My affinity for Surefires has to do more with results than the "Made in USA" branding, though. I've killed a LOT of flashlights in my day, from my time as a Combat Engineer in Iraq to a Firefighter/Paramedic stateside. Surefire holds up where other flashlights fail. It's just a fact. And to be fair I've killed at least a half a dozen Surefires as well, but they're still the top dog. I've only had one Olight (S2R Baton) and it stopped taking a charge after 3 weeks of EDC.
