Long gone and hard to find, here's a very interesting Microtech. Its alien form and dual action are intriguing. So much so that TacticalDoodle took it out and rolled the edge on a staple! No worries. I break out the Edge Pro Apex and show you the results in the add on video. You can give your credit card a rest on this particular Microtech, just a pure entertainment KRV!

Hankering for a new value auto? Coming up for review, buy them while they're here: "CobraTec" OTF autos, almost as good as Microtech...what?! They work very well, D2 steel, a fraction of the cost. Kinda' like a Microtech Scarab: https://shrsl.com/2y1jo

Tacticaldoodle

I love this thing. When you're not looking I'm gonna steal it again. Don't worry, I'll leave something in its place....how about a Rat 1?

Moe Mansour

I wanna move to the US just to start a Microtech collection. Is that normal? 😳😬

Todd Strelka

Always love a good KRV. Microtechs are great.

Todd Strelka

Yes, totally justified! 😀

Tacticaldoodle

And as far as 07:25 goes, I have carried the crap out of it, and it has held up very well. some chucci knives I'll take care of and baby, but this one got the same treatment my normal stuff does. It's great how the clip has keep itself together, though that is owed to the lack of any dark finish to show off wear.

Moe Mansour

Nutn, we'd love to see a collection video of some of your rare knives. We don't care that we can't buy them! Perhaps a good video for Doodle's channel? 🙂

The Nutnfancy Project

"Perhaps a good video for Doodle's channel? 🙂" You here that TD? They want this stuff...get on it! Good idea for a video Moe.

Moe Mansour

Dunno if you heard... but Nutn' just sharpened it. If I were you I'd pilfer it and burn off the edge again!

Moe Mansour

Thanks, Todd. I knew you guys would back me up.

Dude I forked out 800$ in scratch for a 2002 Microtech halo 2 and I didn’t bat an eye because it’s an investment! I know someone would pay 900 tomorrow for it! Thanks Nutnfancy I caught Microtech bug from you lol!

Matthew Sinn

So Nutn, here's an idea - given the high quality of items you're hesitant to post reviews for - .... Post us a list here on Patreon. Here's the top 10 gun/knife/watch/gear/whatever things I've thought about reviewing this month but didn't want to because of the backlog. Post it with a "Not reviewed but looks good" disclaimer and let us take the responsibility for vetting it.

Fantastic looking knife. Definitely keep the KRV's rolling. Purchased a leatherman OHT, Charge TTI and a Case Copperlock with beautiful pearl blue handles. BTW I used a gerber MP600 for years and now I am hooked on the OHT. In a leather Safariland horizontal mag carrier. I hardly notice the weight. I Still even carry the Juice S2 for scissors and Cadet for drivers, prying and rhe file. Must be some sort of nut for carrying two MT's but it makes me happy.

What a cool knife! Hopefully I will be able to find one at some point to keep expanding my Microtech collection. I’ve been collecting knifes for around a year and Microtech is very much at the heart of my experience too at this point.

Laylit

Great job on the edge! Looks very consistent! 👍 And whats better than sharpening a knife and getting a pocket light saber out of it?! Yeah right, nothing!

Josh P.

Very interesting knife! Doesn't matter if its obtainable or not it's cool too see all the interesting blades, I've bought a handful of your reccomend and I'm pleased, and I'm starting to gain a pile and now I'm looking to buy and edge pro! Haha keep up the entertainment NUTN! Much appreciated!

Question Nutn, thinking back I only remember you mentioning once that you had a situation where you had to kinda flash a pistol at a fella to get out of a situation, and keeping that in mind have you ever had a potentially bad situation come up that caused you to pull a knife out of pocket and deploy it in response to a threat? If so what was the situation, and knife you used? Also if it has happened why did you go for the knife instead if a pistol? I'd really like to hear about that if it has happened! -Josh

Love my microtechs , from my 20$ estate sale socom elite to my tnp ultratech. And as a bonus the headquarters is located in the middle of a great motorcycle riding area. ( Asheville ) so i find excuses to ride over for knife service. win-win.

Jayson Fraser

I've watched a ton of nutnfancy folding knife reviews, but I've never understood what thumb stud "volcano issues" refers to. Could someone define it for me?

Jon Hassler

Funny I still have my 2012 Socom elite I bought from that review you talked about.

Plumber Angelo

Some thumb stud designs are shaped funny and make it hard to get a grip on them and deploy. Usually the ones that are “volcano” shaped. Meaning they start broad but come to a peak.

Plumber Angelo

Man that knife is sick. I don’t have any microtechs unfortunately, being illegal in Commiefornia. One day I’ll get one though!

Jayson Fraser

Thanks, that makes sense. I don't think I've ever ran into that problem myself.

Daniel Herb

That's a funky knife! I'm not really a MT guy since they cost so much, but I do appreciate how awesome they look.

david rockwell

Microtech is certainly appealing from a design aesthetic. Some their knives garner a milquetoast response compared to equivalently priced competitive offerings. Thank you for the continued effort and dedication.
