JARMYSTRONG

Niiiiiiiiice. But my Henry Survival just sings to me.

Michael Prunty

Yes Nutnfancy! Now I'm not annoyed that my phone dinged at 2am!

Connor Murphy

Great video. I'm glad there's competition to the Papoose, cause I think it's discontinued. So sad.

Scott

How cool is life huh?

Tacticaldoodle

I wonder if there’ll be some alt stocks for these kinds of things. Every time I think about “what if” guns, I always think of the marlin papoose chambered for 1911 mags. Seems kinda cool.

Matthew Sinn

I would absolutely love to see a 21st century reimagining of the type. Feed the bloody mag through the grip, damnit. Kel Tec already made the magazine... build a minimal rifle around it.

Scott Reichard

I have never heard of it... the ruger 10-22 breakdown would be my first idea..

Moe Mansour

Great option! And they must be legal in Canada since they're made here.

Richard Tullo

Your video comparing apples to apples is what made me buy a USP and a Glock 23 all those years ago. Keep up the good work 💪

David Spinks

I was unfamiliar with this as well, but have been eyeing the papoose since you first reviewed it Nutn. Funny thing happened though when I added .22lr silencers to the inventory: I lost interest in unthreaded .22's. They became as appealing as an inaccurate or unreliable gun. Am I alone in my weirdnesses? The minute they drop a threaded papoose I'll be down.

Ryan Kobilansky

Hmmm... Keystone Project Guns - Ruger Mini 14, Kel-Tec Sub 2K, Kel-Tec PF9, Marlin Papoose, Winchester 1300.

Aaron Hine

It's so exciting waking up to a new nutnfancy review. Being down here in Florida, waking up to a state of emergency because of this stupid gas shortage, just made my day a little more bearable. Thanks nutnfancy!!!

Casey Jones

I'm just above you in Alabama, same story.

Hold Fast Joe

Ya and they're in no rush to turn it back on either. High fuel costs are goosing up the stock market and give the govt a scape goat to blame for inflation. Good times

Doug Scofield

I love it! I have a Papoose and a S&W 622 in the wife and my two BOB's. I had the barrel drilled and tapped for scope rings that allow a Burris scout scope to be mounted to the barrel rather than the receiver. Thus, the scope is always sighted in upon reattaching the barrel to the receiver. This gun rocks!

Buff Orpington

Great review! I’ve gone all-in on the 10/22 with a magpul backpacker and red dot sight, but I can see the weight advantage here/with the Marlin. I’ll have to disagree though with the AR7. I have a few Henry rifles and they’re all excellent...the one exception that I sold was the AR7. Man I hated that thing. Low capacity mags, jams, bad sights, hard to deploy, uncomfortable the shoulder. I sold it for the 10/22 backpacker and haven’t looked back. It just seemed gimmicky/bad at most tasks vs comparable platforms.

Dean

Man... its been forever. I think my first video of yours I saw was a full length krv of the Osborne 940. You had a red one. I purchased a green one based on you review for $112. Great knife too. I miss Ally and hiking trips.

Todd Strelka

I've been a subscriber of TNP since 2011 when my brother introduced me to this awesomeness. At the beginning of the video I was going through my head with the original HOF TNP guns that were reviewed. Yep, I thought about the Glock 17, Sig P226, and Ruger 10/22. I am honored to now posses the custom TNP Ruger 10/22 Takedown Duracoated in FDE. This Savage reviewed looks like a great little survival rifle.

Rob B

I have a Savage Mk II 22LR. It’s a great shooter, but the finish is pretty substandard. Sneeze in its direction and it will instantly have some rust. Turned me off to Savage. Hopefully they’ve fixed the issue by now.

Scott Reichard

Doodle the 1911 mags would be great. I have multiple 1911's in 45 acp and 10mm. I have a pile of the wilson 10 round 45 acp mags. Use them for ipsc. Think my belt holds 6 of them plus 9 in the gun when I start.

The Nutnfancy Project

Glad to help out. Sorry to hear about that fuel shortage. It does bear out the delicacy of our society...we've been talking about that here forever. Hope you guys got some gas on hand. I keep about 100 gallons with Stabil in storage (away from the house btw)

The Nutnfancy Project

I do not think so. I think Ruger will resume production sometime though; it's a popular well selling gun.

The Nutnfancy Project

"Man I hated that thing. Low capacity mags, jams, bad sights, hard to deploy, uncomfortable the shoulder. " I actually agree with that 100%! I've never liked the AR7 and have never reviewed it b. of that. I just like Henry Arms as a company and advocate for their support in this commie world we find ourselves in!

The Nutnfancy Project

Thanks for being here Todd...you are a long time TNPr for sure! " I am honored to now posses the custom TNP Ruger 10/22 Takedown Duracoated in FDE." I know it's in good hands with you!

Zambini

Man when you started TNP I was only 10 years old! Crazy to see the growth, but I love it. I'd love to see your thoughts on the Rossi RS22 similar to this Savage. Super cheap, but decently light. Fun plinker and potential BOK gun for those on a budget, and mine has had zero issues and seen a lot of use.

Daniel Blindheim

Love the 22 videos! Hope you dont get fucked with the gun laws like what is happening in Norway now. Just look at the recent shooting in russia. Let me tell you they got some gun control but it didn't help.

Jerome J

Cool gun. I need to find a papoose. I like that the rifle comes with that cool bag. So old school. Remington 970 TNP legend!!

Adam Boyd

Great grv, Nutn! Thanks 👍

Boone Mill Farm

I used to have a Papoose. Still got the receipt for it, but it’s attached to a Police report. This gun is nice as well and I would like to have either one. BUT what have grabbed my attention is the OneTigres holster. And I think this is the first time he didn’t add descriptions or links or even a description area below. Not even for Gunnies? OPPs probably. Took a bit but I found them, ordered one from Amazon. If it works with a G34 with Olight Valkyrie PL Pro. Well, I hope he gets a link up cause I’ll use it. Thank you Sir.

john milochis

Stay safe brother watch your six crazy times ahead defend the second amendment with everything you got over here down under we all pray we had a second amendment for self Defense but the commies don’t want armed and free people they want serfs

Jason Boyles

I'd think the Winchester 1300 would fit in that group as well.

Jason Boyles

As far as .22's go, the Marlin is a legend! My 795 is so much better in so many ways than a 10-22 which was my first gun.

Andrettski

I have zero exp. with either but in POU for BOK I would say by your comparison the Papoose would be my choice hands down. My first .22 was a Marlin, not sure if it was the Model 60 or 781, it was an 18 shot tube fed. I never knew what happened to it after my parents divorced. Thanks for the GRV TNP crew.

Lynn E Fite, Col (r)

Excellent review: sadly this is a clone of the track leading Marlin Papoose. No real product differentiation. If savage really wanted to stand out, The increasing popularity 22wmr would make this alone upper. The 10/22 takedowns are nice but heavy compared to the Papoose

Clint Allison

As a lefty, I really appreciate Savage and what they offer us. I bought a 64f several years ago simply because it was left handed. It's been good to me so far.

Sheepdog

The other .22 I was thinking of was the "Chief AJ Ruger 22/45" Also, about the time I was watching the BOK vid on the Papoose, I remember hearing about and deciding to buy the very excellent "Dr. Optic" 8X manacle. I still have it and have used it on my outings in the field, on birding adventures and on vacation.

Paul Griech

I have been considering a takedown 22 for awhile now. I have a Winchester mod 55 takedown 32spl it has taken deer down for three generations in PA. Only iron sights!

Phake A'Count

Hey, you guys are SHOOTING your guns! I thought guns were just for collecting dust without any ammunition. ... Speaking of .22s, I still have a few bricks of Fed. Gold Medal. I hope I can find some time to get to the state rifle range this summer with my CZs and my Win. 9422. (I'm in OH and not near a desert).

Mike

Keystone project guns. Kahr PM9, Keltec PF9and Sig P226. Oh and a favorite the FN FNP9! Just like the SOG Flash 1 bought it Immediately. Keep it up!!

Daniel Herb

.22's are awesome; there is no excuse to not have a good time when shooting them. Glad to see another one hit the bunker review in the project.

Alexander Morton

Thanks for the vid! Do you think you’ll ever do a .22 pistol showdown for BOK? I’m really liking my Ruger LCR .22 as a BOK pistol: lightweight, reliable, not picky about ammo, compact, reasonably fast to shoot, decent capacity. A good companion to a .22 takedown rifle.

Cory C

I’d like to see a table top for the Taurus 942 22lr revolver, 3 inch model.

Ryan P

I would love to see a papoose style rifle chambered in 5.7 that uses the ruger 5.7 mags. Basically a lightweight Ruger PC Carbine in 5.7. Seems like that would be an ideal survival combo.

Mike S

Happy to see another .22LR gun get reviewed in the project. I imagine a lot of people are shooting 22's to cut back on their centerfire ammo consumption.

Paul Colburn

Keystone Guns? How about the Sig P226 that you almost got divorced over? lol (back in the crx days?)

Brian Mumford

I think Marlin discontinued the Papoose as it is NOT in their current catalog as of today. I ended up buying a Marlin 795. I'm holding off on getting a take-down until I know the Papoose won't be back. More importantly, you're videos have not come up on my YouTube feed in a long time which is what just prompted me to join Patreon (and yes, I am subscribed for all your videos. I literally thought you stopped making videos). I've been subscribed at least as far back as 2011 or 2012. I love your channel. Overall it's the best channel on Youtube. I love how you are not beholden to the firearms industry.

Ryan Nichols

Hey been watching you knife content for almost 10 years now only just getting into gun myself over the last few years and still catching up on your gun content. Saw this video on youtube it reminded me I wanted to ask about your opinion on the 22lr conversion kits for AR15s and how that would work for a bugout kit gun?? Being about to switch from 22lr and 5.56 with just a BCG change and magazine change seems pretty ideal ... it wouldn't the fastest or as light weight but it give to both verisitalty and firepower. Just wondering if you had any experience with them because I have had one in my brownells cart for month... taking it in and out, trying to decide if it would be as useful and worth integrating into the systems?

Wyatt B. Harrison

i'd rather have a single shot 20ga Folder with a caliber conversion to 9mm in a Survival bag. like the RockIsland / Charles daly 18" or 20" models. 22LR is too anemic for me.
