< peeks around corner and raises hand > Hi... yes... I’m knife fan....

Trevor V. V.

That is a FW190! Not bf109.... oh dang, ya got me...

Boone Mill Farm

Ahh, the table top decorations......... for 1st and 2nd cool, can’t beat the OWL. The others can be confusing : ) Great timing on the video. Had something to entertain me while I waited for someone to bring tractor parts. Why is it I like to watch people flick these knives open? Me neither. Thanks for the vid.

Adam Boyd

Cool knife, but it's not going in my shopping cart. You described my situation exactly. I've got more knives than i can rotate through. Most of em just chill out in my drawer. My wife doesn't believe it, but I'll probably only buy a few more blades then cap the number in my collection.

Phake A'Count

Hmm, a 109 with a radial engine and wide landing gear. That's odd.

W5GLS

Lately my EDC rotation is primarily different versions of the Honey Badger including the white TNP model. I have one OTF knife I rotate in if I’m going downtown.

Kelly McClellan

I’ve bought a lot of knives in the last year. I pretty much only carry my MT socom or ludt. A knife has to really speak to me to join my collection since I probably won’t carry it much. I’ve been on a case kick lately, they are works of art, so I don’t mind not carrying them. Doesn’t feel like a waste.

DuginIN

Vox Viper is a pass. The winner is TNP brown Lion Steel ROK. I lucked out and got #43 signed black blade and #2 satin blade.

Connor Murphy

Man, we haven't seen a Viper review since the Start and Keeper reviews way back in the day. Thanks Nutn!

Michael B warner

Hey Nutn ware can I send some of my special edition blades for you to sign?

The Nutnfancy Project

Yep, most TNPrs have big collections. I do here from some that sell off the ones they

The Nutnfancy Project

lost love for and then get more. Lmk if you want me to sideline the knife show to give you guys a break btw. Most want me to keep it foundational I think.

The Nutnfancy Project

"’ve been on a case kick lately, they are works of art, so I don’t mind not carrying them. Doesn’t feel like a waste." and most of those Case knives will go up in value too!

Adam Boyd

Oh no! Don't sideline the knife show! Love me some krvs! I'll probably do just what you said and get rid of something if I want something new.

Moe Mansour

Cool name! They shoulda called this iteration Kiyomi. Which is a Japanese orange citrus fruit.

RowdyRon

Of the ones you listed, I like the Katla best. I would pass on these though. I already have too many that I'm not on the fence with. Wonder how much my TNP Ultratech is worth now? :) Thanks Nutn!

James Windland

Patiently awaiting the next TNP special edition knife. I missed the TNP Microtech, would be super to do another one!

Greg Malcom

Any TNP knives coming Nutn????

Schmuckatelli

I still have that screenshot of the blue Lionsteel ROK TNP blade for $465 on the auction site. There's a TNP Dragonfly going for $250 right now. If anyone missed out on the Lionsteel TNP blades and wants to try to get one, there's an auction for the brown version on eBay with about 17 hours left at the time I'm posting this.

Guy Actual

I'm really glad you didn't choose the Kyomi as a TNP version. Just not a fan based on this review.(no: "gimping", retention detent is too shallow, no over travel stop, clip is a bit short and I have that Ti clips break, and a bit over tempered for my taste) FYI, I think I have #45 of 75 in the Blue/Black blade. (I'd have to double check) Also, all prices subject to INFLATION!! (with mini-megaphone)

Andrettski

I'm not a pilot but it would be really cool to be taken up in one those WWII planes from several diff. countries. And who hasn't dreamed of having their own tank(fully weaponized BTW)

Andrettski

The Viper and Lionsteel are beautiful but a bit pricey for me. Option in the CRKT Batum(also a Voxnaes design, and doesn't have "gimping" on it either, he must not be a jimping fan) The Batum is super chunky too and propably capable of prying off the hatch on that tank, I definitely don't EDC it. I'll carry the Ken Onion Hi-Jinx or Prowess(both with skate tape)I'd love to see you compare the Kizer Vandguard Kesmec with others. I like every Kizer I have.

Schmuckatelli

Nutn, for future reference when choosing a knife for a Special Edition TNP blade, please stick with liner locks. I greatly prefer them over frame locks. There's no functional reason...I'm just used to the liner locks and I detest the appearance of frame locks when they do not color the side with the lock.

Schmuckatelli

If you ever want to sell your TNP Ultratech, I am a motivated buyer.

Schmuckatelli

The Honey Badger is one of my all-time favorite knives. I think I own 5 of them in different colors and sizes. The large size HB is like a fidget spinner for me...I constantly flip it open and close it repeatedly.

Schmuckatelli

I am a fragile snowflake. If Nutnfancy canceled the TNP Knife Show, it would most likely send me down a path of self-destruction where I would end up joining the Democratic Socialists of America and marching in the streets with Antifa and BLM. So please, Nutn...please save me from such a fate that would be worse than death and never...NEVER cancel the TNP Knife Show.

Derek W Tiller

it's a pass on the viper. to many things wrong with the design. the fw 190 model is far more interesting! i'm a bit interested in the crkt k820bxp. ever since getting a ceo i have a thing for thin bladed knives.

Christopher B.

I remember he mentioned a possible "Daggerr Knives" TNP edition. He reviewed one a couple month ago. The "Sting", available at Blade HQ for $62.

John Unterkofler

Nice joke Nutn! I love that Fw 190 paint scheme. It’s so clean!

RowdyRon

I appreciate the offer, but it's one that I'll never part with. First Microtech as well. Thanks.

Andrettski

Love my CEO, I just need to get the new one with the flipper.

david rockwell

The Vox Rold fixed blade was always a high appeal when you reviewed many years previous. The mountain knife clinic is a favorite location that really demonstrates capabilities (or weakness). Reviewed Kyomi is well executed but fails to generate significant interest. Thank you for the continued effort and dedication.

Sheepdog

Spot on about guys that have a lot of knives in our collection. I for sure fall into the category of falling into a rut about what I carry and the rest "just don't get used". Yep! I have 2 or 3 knives right now that I have out and the rest stay in the box in the safe. I currently using my Benchmade Griptillian and a SOG Twitch along with one of my many Victorinox Cadets. The Grip was the first high quality knife I bought after being infected with the TNP Knife "sickness". That was a lot of years (2012) and knives ago :-)

Derek W Tiller

well, i didn't know about the ceo flipper until you told me. just had to go and buy one... thanks!

Schmuckatelli

For those of you who feel you have too many knives in your collections and don't use most of them, I am currently in the business of re-homing unwanted knives. I am the sole proprietor of "The Island of Misfit Blades" which is a non-profit that takes unwanted knives from homes that under appreciate their value and places them in the hands of a loving family that will care for the blades and ensure they live a proper well-adjusted life. Please send all your unwanted knives to me, Schmuckatelli, for re-homing. Thank you.

Tacticaldoodle

One of the best uses I've found is gifting them to someone who appreciates 'em, too. I gave a kid one of my (to me) garbage knives and it was the coolest thing ever to him. I wouldn't go gifting nice and expensive stuff to anyone, but it's surprising how much affection normies will have for stuff that seems mundane and boring to collectors. A lot of our family gifts have been greatly appreciated, like grandpa's Ka-bar dozier folder that he "re-sharpened" into a toothpick because he used it so much. Plus, every slot in the storage pocket you free up is one more blade you can buy!

Tacticaldoodle

They're spectacularly cool, but unless you get to man the stick for a little bit, it's a bit like being tossed in a garbage can and clanged around a bit (if you don't have hearing protection at least, any sane operation will give them to you, but post wuhan I've heard some places are too scared to have loaner sets) If you dig up the registry for any two-seaters, you may be surprised at private collectors who are eager for any excuse to take a short hop. Even re-creations, there are 7/8 scale Focke Wulfs out there too!

Andrettski

Thanks for the info, definitely a bucket list adventure, but I'd really want to research the person extensively that would be operating said stick. Don't want to go up with some wack job.

Tacticaldoodle

If they're in a WWII bird they're more competent than 60-70% of other GA pilots, just due to the cost and insurance requirements. Add in the fact that tailwheels are a beast that takes some serious committment (money, time, and practice) to keep from crinkling your nearly irreplaceable, million dollar investment, and I'd happily jump aboard most any of them. Actually, I'd rather a 84 year old T-6 pilot fly me than some Aer Ligma 22 year old Chinese kid who got the job by having a well-placed uncle...

Tacticaldoodle

Every time I see this title I feel like there was a pun to ride the "Komi-san" popularity.

Andrettski

I appreciate your flying experience/knowledge and always like your feedback especially when you add your sarcasm(keeps it light and fun. 84 years old, oh wait, isn't mumbling bumbling Joe Beijing 78? Can you imagine? He can't make his way up to Air Force 1 much less find a mask in his pocket. I had to throw in my sarcasm :-). Thanks TD.

CincinnatiDan (Ohio)

$200+ for a knife you don’t love, don’t carry, and likely will end up in a drawer seems like a waste... sort of like having Beretta 85 and 87 cheetahs you’ve fired once since bringing them home just sitting in a safe... not that i’d know anything about that. I do like the race track shaped thumb hole and back spacer for a unique look and love the orange.

RB

Thanks to Ed Calderon/Vigilance Elite, I have a new appreciation for the cheap fixed blade knife at wally world or the gas station. If you ever have to use it, it's not like you lost a lot of money on a Randall or Boker tactical knife. Give it to the cops or throw it in the trash, there's another one waiting for you at the next gas station. Keep those special knives under lock and key. lol
