I have an elko it’s mainly on a keychain kit. I actually just used it to tighten hoseclamps on The swimming pool! Oh I have the titanium version so it’s very light. I like it

Bravo

You know my favourite part of being on TNPP is the fact that it feels like old school TNP. The channel has grown huge (which is good) but like nutn said in an old vid I watched yesterday (I watched a bunch can’t remember which one it was). When the channel hit a certain # of people it becomes impossible to keep up with all the commenters, to talk to them, and to help em out. Thus why nutn transitioned to mostly speaking to everyone though the videos. This being a much smaller community over on Patreon feels more special. And I’m so glad to be over here.

Keep cranking out 300$ American knife reviews lol I will keep buying em

Schmuckatelli

No...I do not want you to review more $300 knives. I will not buy any of those knives unless they are a SE TNP blade. Yes...I do want you to give us longer format KRVs with a full assortment of competitive options. Most of my watch and knife purchases have been from the competitive option list.

Moe Mansour

Nutn, have you seen the new SOG Tac AU auto? It's super thin. Would love to see a review once it's in stock ("coming soon" on BHQ) .

Schmuckatelli

Not me. It took me years before I bought my first knife that was over $100. I still cringe if I have to spend that much to add another blade to my collection. I am very comfortable with "value knives". There has to be a compelling reason for me to give up $200-$300 for a blade (or a watch as far as I'm concerned).

I'm stuck at Folsom Prison, and time keeps draggin' on........

I do miss Letters to Nutn’ videos though! Good times.

I have a James Brand „The Carter“ and i like it! Its awesome, although the thumb disc is very slippery. I doubt that the James Brand will survive in long terms, they produce their knives in China and ask for a lot of money for them. Then there is this STUPID marketing that they do, it is ridiculous! I don‘t think these knives provide anything new to the knife market, not in terms of design nor quality.

James R

Dude Kizer is doing some really cool stuff lately has anyone been checking them out?

Kelly McClellan

I’ve looked at the brand before and never felt compelled to buy one. The second knife you showed looked great, but I’m not paying $300 for a knife made in China. Money like that will be staying in the US. I’m trying my best to stop supporting the ccp. I do love the western US inspired names. If they bring production home I will take a closer look. If Microtech and protech can make knives in the US I don’t see why James brand can’t. I do love the HEC reviews, keep them coming. I carry a high end knife every day.

Kelly McClellan

I agree with you Paul. It’s a fun thing to splurge on every couple months,

Richard Tullo

Oh I left a comment on the YouTube video by mistake. Good review sir.

Ronin67

nice to see various knives that wouldn't normally hit my radar but i'm with you in that I think id have to pass on these, for sure the $300 iteration. Have to agree with the CRKT option, because of your review I picked up a SE BHQ version (White) as the Green Micarta had already sold out and its a awesome EDC option!

I'm always kinda left wondering how much value there is in american blades. I get that it's more costly to build stuff here, and the labor is always going to inflate it a great deal, but I can't help but get the vibe the gun and knife industries play up the mystique of it. I think you can do stuff pretty affordably if you have your processes down, and you're aggressively courting that market share. Kershaw's and, spyderco do it in volume, at least. I think a lot of these smaller makers just court the niche hyper enthusiast customer base and get comfortable with it. They just think that as long as something is $3-500 then by default everyone will project this fantasy level of quality and collectibility, whether or not it actually merits the price point.

Tacticaldoodle

I could've sworn I've seen one floating around the table......

Tacticaldoodle

They never let off the gas! Every time I look there's another cool one to check out.

Moe Mansour

The automatic version? I do recall a manual version as a table top decoration in one of the videos.

Daniel Herb

ehhhh not excited about these....

Tacticaldoodle

He grabbed a fistful of the new sog stuff, we've done the tBT for a couple, I think it'll get a sep review, it's great.

Daniel Ingoglia

Man, that Chapter is hard to look at... not an aesthetic I like at all. Love that Micarta handle on the Folsom, however.

Chris Fischer

Can we get an essee Gibson are review? I'm thinking about buying one but idk if I'm going to spend that much on an are that doesn't suit my needs

Zak Orendorff

Hoback knives come in some pretty cool packaging. I would buy those if they were using better steel but then again spyderco does the same with their prices too on knives that have mid grade steels. Like the Kapara, 200 bucks for s30. I can’t believe the chapter is 300 bucks. I mean lots of knives that sell for that price have s35vn for its steel but a lot of knives have m390 for that price too. Anyways I’m getting off course. I did the micarta on that one though. I love your knife reviews Nutn thank you for all of your hard work.

Jeremy doblinger

Great looking but not quite my style..seem high quailty and high value. Sweet video dude!!

Jeremy doblinger

Also thank you for the knife show and watch show!! And TNP overall! Thanks
