Here's a great low cost fixed blade again that impresses me with its handle, steel, and size. I might be alone in this like the Condor Hudson Bay I reviewed in 2015. We'll talk why in this fixed blade review!

Cool blade and a fun review. Thanks, Lt. Col!

Nice knife, but I'll stick with my SRK. Great review as always.

Shawn Kuse

I will stick with my Cold Steel SRK. Thanks Nutn!

I am always up for a value KRV. Just hit those carbon blades with a little of Brownell's Oxpho-Blue cold bluing. Easy to do, easy to touch up if you want.

Without even starting the KRV, I’m loving it. I’ve been off the knives you’ve been on lately. But I’m really needing some substitutions for the big Ontario knives like the SP-50 that have been discontinued sadly. This is the style I’d love to see more

IndianaBen

Funny a couple SRK comments already btw… yeah I’ve got an SRK in like every vehicle bag and room in the house lol. It’s hard to displace SRK perfection for what it is

It's not a fixed blade...but I wanted to let you know I just got my Daggerr Sting in the mail yesterday...all the way from Mother Russia. Blade HQ has a few colorations in stock, but I was drawn to the blue-handled version, so I went to Daggerr's website and had one sent via the slow boat from Siberia and it took almost 3 months to get here. If you want to see it, I posted some pictures of it on Gab @CptObviousCommonSenseCo

I got a Gerber StrongArm in Coyote Brown on the way from BladeHQ. Was on sale this weekend and got free shipping. 1st and 2nd cool and USA made with good reviews. We'll see how it does. Plus the blade length is under 5.5" which means it's treated as a knife and not a concealed weapon in Texas.

Racing Psychosis

I'll pass on that Conder as you call it. Those Civvi knives are really cool, and man they come out of box with nice edges.

Racing Psychosis

Its an okay squared away knife with some pretty cool attachments for the price.

I just got my Blue Sting direct from Russia this week as well. Took 3 months, I was beginning to think it was lost in customs somewhere. Mine came with a Daggerr branded chocolate.

Schmuckatelli

Congrats. It was a long wait, but worth it.

My Courser wasn‘t really that sharp compared to my Elementum. It had even a slight recurve between the belly and the beginning at the sharpening choil. Just reprofiled and sharpened it, now its fine. Not perfect though! But it nails the paper test. For wood work i use smaller blades, like the Fallkniven F1 and the outstanding TBS Boar and pair it up with a silky pocket boy or a Bahco Laplander. For my purposes its enough but hacking with a bigger blade sounds fun!

90% agreement might be a little high 😂, but I definitely agree with you a lot. That looks like a knife I wouldn’t hesitate to thump on, just like my OKC Bushcraft Woodsman (I have split some logs that were way larger than I should have split with that thing, and no chips or bending of the blade). I’m always looking for utilitarian tools, that I will actually use, and you never disappoint with a constant supply of good value items. Your reviews (and life philosophy videos) have pushed me to go outside more, and I actually started backpacking with my son (about a year and a half ago). The memories I have created were because of your videos and positive messaging. Thank you sir.

Love the old skool KRVs.... for realsies

Thanks for the KRV. I'm in need of an affordable woods chopper.

Tacticaldoodle

I just used that Gransfords woods axe you sharpened....that thing is insane! Never cleaved through trees so fast!
