Compact, lightweights comfortable in use, good steel. The Benchmade Leuku 202 tracks a Finnish design influence but the results are excellent. You'll see it here in testing, in the hot desert this time, and I'll show a super cool sheath that takes the Leuku next level. It's great to see an exciting fixed blade design come out of the dormant BM design studio. Few are the mid sized CPM-3V field knives and the the Leuku is welcomed by TNP into the fold. Also a still rec'd competitive options emerges again.

Didnt know this review was going to come so quickly. I like this knife and maybe that handle is small for your gorilla hands, but for the tiny men like me that's probably perfect. You talk about the Cold Steel SRK, I may pick one up, but I've had a Cold Steel Kobun in my BOK for years. It's sharper than any other knife I own. It says Aus8 but I think mine may be a different steel. I've had it for 16 years. https://www.bladehq.com/item--Cold-Steel-Kobun-Tanto--5007 If you ever want to borrow and review mine feel free. All I ask is you sign it before you send it back or if it breaks sign the pieces HAHA

Love the fix blade reviews. Be putting this one on my want list.

Todd Strelka

Nice fixed blade. I'm surprised it doesn't have a guard. I like how you called Benchmade "BM". Reminds me of bowel movement, ha ha. 🤣 I sure do love my SRK knives. I have the VG-1 steel and SK-5 versions.

Robert Avery

Looking forward to this one as I do every KRV. Keep on trucking Sir.

Brad Fegan

Didn't buy the Benchmade. However, I did buy the Cold Steel in San Mai. I also did the jump and bought an Edge Pro Apex 4. Mainly because I didn't care for the sharpeners been using.

Racing Psychosis

Not into Benchmade, I'll pass on that, I will guarantee it. Why not just hone that toothiness off out of box, likely wouldn't take real long to do on a ceramic rod? That kydex sheath is awesome though, have one of those for a CS Penedelton mini hunter from that Ebay guy. That Cold Steel SRK is a pretty awesome blade.

Adam Dunkerley

What's up with all your realtree stuff now?

Steve Feeser

Thanks for the review!!! I've been wanting some sort of a midsize survival/defense blade for hiking and hunting. This looks pretty great for the job.

Schmuckatelli

I am seriously lacking in the fixed blade department. I need to add this functionality to my BOK, backpacking, camping, POU. I may dip my toe in the fixed blade world with a high-value product. I've been considering the Cold Steel SRK as well as the Gerber Strong Arm. Believe it or not, coloration is an important feature to me, and I like that the Strong Arm comes in desert tan. I searched through the TNP KRVs, but I failed to find a review of the Strong Arm. Am I just missing it or is it possible that this blade has slipped through the cracks of the Nutnfancy Knife Show?

Josh P.

Does the blade have any flex be used as a potential fillet knife?

Hold Fast Joe

Thanks for the reminder, buying one to give as a Christmas gift in 5 months

Like the look but I've got a couple morja knifes and need to get a couple otf blades before buying more fixed blades. What up Tnp hope your having a great weekend..just got back from vacation last week. We were at Devils lake state park here in Wisconsin and it rocked..camping,biking hiking as nutn would say adventuring and got to test some of our camp/outdoor gear..Had a blast and made some good memories with the wife and kids..

J Ram

Takes me back to the first adventure/gear testing videos that first introduced me to TNP Nation!! No mercy on those blades!!! Love those videos!!

Tygre

Y'all got any of them WROL South Africa Part Two's?

Tygre

AUS8 is one of the best knife steels ever, and the SRK is a great knife. One of my all-time favorite knives is a Cold Steel Gunsite Tanto in AUS 8; it will cut you if you look at it.

Sounds like your doing it right. Outdoor adventure memories with the fam. I totally hear you on the moras. Was camping last week. Had a $25 tops (Canadian) on my pocket and a $200+ Tops knife that stayed in the gear tote. The moras are so fantastic. Marshmallow skewers for the kids to spreading peanut butter. Gets it done. Happy summer adventuring to all the TNP fam here!!

The fixed blade rabbit hole is awesome. Nutn’s playlist is the best. I’m gonna throw a BOK blade out here for y’all to consider. It’s affordable, stainless (I live in Nova Scotia), lightweight, and not too flashy/tactical looking. To me it harkens back to the one multipurpose knife people had long ago, a blade that had to prep food, do chores, provide self defense, etc. If I were living out of my BOK I would need a blade that could do all those things. This paired with a mora companion are the fixed blades in my system at the moment. Ontario Knife Co Hunt Plus Camp https://ontarioknife.com/products/hunt-plus-camp-knife?variant=31397676286038

Devil's Lake is one of my favorite spots in the state, as is the areas around, grew up not far from that area.

Racing Psychosis

The Strong Arm is definitely a favorite of mine from a budget standpoint. I seriously like the blade and I also love all of the extras that come with it. Not the greatest steel, but its a good design that sharpens easily for me. I have one on a chest rig and works well with molle. Also a big fan of ESEE.

The Nutnfancy Project

Hmmm, Strong Arma ya' say, I have not done that one. But Adam below saying it's too small in hand doesn't excite me. I already have that problem!

The Nutnfancy Project

"Had a blast and made some good memories with the wife and kids.." Well done and that's how you do it boys. Get all this gear into action with family and friends and you attach memories to them. Then they are keepsakes.

Racing Psychosis

Adam looks like a giant of a man, I've seen him post a couple of pictures. I am not a giant.

Josh P.

Would it be suitable for field dressing game?

Schmuckatelli

Yes...been looking forward to getting that info. Watched Laura Southern's videos as well. Can't believe this is not the lead story on every news source around the world. I knew the media was biased, but I am really surprised by how easily the communist media has crushed the truth. It sickens me.

Eric Kelley

I may have to reconsider my habit of buying every fixed blade knife Nutn recs…………after this one arrives.

Hugh Amlett

Can you check out Puma brand knives? Specifically Puma SGB? BHQ doesn't have many unfortunately. I'm really interested in their bowie, and no I have not already purchased one.

Bravo

Hey Nutn I know your not a Benenlli guy, but their pump shotguns are way more affordable than their semis and very well built. Any chance we will see a Benelli Supernova Tactical 18.5 review? I would really appreciate it brother. (Note that because it is imported from Italy it only comes with 4+1 capacity so I recommend doing what I did and get a extension to get 6+1)

TheOldShepherd

Fixed blades are so underrated. Get one that's a good size and dangle it from your belt into your pocket with 550 cord so that just the handle is sticking out. Fastest draw on a knife you can get, and we all know fixed blades are so much stronger than folders.

TheOldShepherd

Hey Nutn, I think fixed blades are so underrated in the 'edc world' that I say you started. If you get a slim one that's a good size and dangle it from your belt into your pocket with 550 cord so that just the handle is sticking out. Fastest draw on a knife you can get, I got the idea from cops who carry a fixed blade weak side incase they have to keep someone off their gun.

Ryan Abbott

Looking for a high capacity semi shotgun that will eat anything. I looked into the fn slp's and after 2 years of searching still haven't been able to get my hands on one. Anything else out there that competes in the same league that I can get for under $1k??

Jardine

I remember the Cold Steel SRK in competitive options. What a sweet blade.

JC

Nutn... more life philosophy vids please!

Joe Shotgunner

Do you think this would be a good skinner/field dressing knife? I wonder if the blade might be a little too long for what I would buy it for.

Lon N

I think it is too long. My deer hunting pack has rocked a Benchmade Nimravus & a high carbon Schrade Sharpfinger for years. They are all I need to field dress Bambi for a truck ride. (Edit) A cordless sawzall sees a lot of use during processing at home.

Joseph Brennan

I bought a first production one which was cool and Ive used it a bit. Not as much as I’d like because when you watch nutnfancy you tend to grow a massive knife collection but the time spent using the knife was good! I would buy it again knowing what I know.
