Beretta Pico 380

Comments

Hold Fast Joe

Oh man! Years ago I remember seeing this in the cabinet and almost bought one! Then I checked the nutn review list and it wasn't in there so I got a Glock 19 instead lol I was fortunate

CincinnatiDan (Ohio)

I love Beretta but have been unable to bring myself to buy a Pico.

Aaron Martin

The PT Cruiser was no Plymouth Prowler, no matter how much style was borrowed..

STLParkRanger13 (IG: Sharpshooterjon)

Oh they're horrible. I've had a few come through the range and they're abominable. Look at me, commenting before I watch the video. The pico is that bad.

Powernoodle

Just what I need on a Sunday after church, sir - you know, since there is no F1 today. :) We continue to think of you and the Fancy Clan during your time of loss.

Pedro

Hits and fail, that’s beretta to a T. Either it’s a home run or they flunk out.

Pedro

Cool they put the turbo 2.4 in it, but not cool enough to make me want to buy one. However the size and engine is a good idea if it wasn’t wrapped around in ugly.

BERETTA9mmUSA

You are better then I, as I would not waste my time on that POS.

Lon N

It's a perfect BBQ gun sir... toss it on the grill and roast it till it melts.

Edward mcclure

Ok Nutn, to be 100% sure, this is NOT a weapon I want I to purchase?? The video wasn’t very clear. 🤣🤣

Moe Mansour

PT Cruiser couldn't touch my stock '04 STI. And my STI would've gotten wasted by your 350Z. I remember the modifications you had on it. I think you said it was putting out 417 hp at the wheels?

Ryan Reese

Ironic timing… I just stumbled upon an article about the Pico this morning and the overall thickness. Can’t wait to watch!

Average Enthusiast

I enjoyed the foreshadowing discussion regarding a 10 round Ruger LCP. You were/are correct, it is sick!

Downtrodden

PPK…when your P7 is in the shop

ThisWe'llDefend

Cock rings by Brass Stacker. Now available at Hustler Hollywood for the discerning cock meister, lol.

David Elkins

I’d rather have a Hi-Point 😂

Tacticaldoodle

But hey...it's got that infamous "italian beauty"?

Foghorn

Yup.. I've got one.. Agree with some of the assessments. Its not a primary. Got it prior to the LCP2.. It rides good in a BugBite ankle holster. Carried under very specific situation. I added Talon grips to it.

Chris carr

I took a dump this morning that I would rather use to go to war with.

Cyborg009

The James Bond reference is to the .32 Walther, not the .380. Remember Bond started with a .25 Beretta. As for the Nano, I’m a fan of all things Beretta. I looked at the Nano when it came out. I dry-fired it at the LGS and that garnered the big “nope”.

Austin

Haha your wish has been answered! The 380 Max! I think?

bugout

love that 32acp swappable barrel.. oh wait...

Rob Miller

Got the Nano a long time ago. Hated it. Added the Talon grips and it made it 4X easier to shoot. Still don’t like it but don’t hate it. Anyone who has this Pico might want to try skateboard tape or Talon grips to make it less awful. Sig 365 is near perfection. No reason to look to Beretta for small carry guns. Off subject but found a NIB used CP33 last week. LOVE IT! About 1,000 rounds through it and it’s moved up to a favorite cast member in our houshold.

Hold Fast Joe

That's exactly why I looked at it! I said, oh Beretta, that 92 was a great pistol! Uhhh.. I'm not sure about this one lemme go try to find something on it.. crickets from trusted sources.. ok! Never mind

Micah G

Thanks for suffering through the pico, nutn. I realize you filmed this months ago but Ruger did like you were saying. Shot an LCP max last weekend. They took an LCP2 and made it a double stack. 10 and 12 round mags and a reversible mag release for the lefties. It's neat but I still like the 2 better, just my mileage.

Tacticaldoodle

Mentioned this to someone yesterday after he said "yeah I only like Beretta, I LOVE italian guns". He had it for a while, but not even it's "beauty" was enough to keep itself around.

Mike S

I usually like Berettas but this gun seems like a complete afterthought. I'm curious if you and Tactical Doodle will take a look at the Beretta Cheetah pistol series since that is a much more enjoyable 380 to shoot. Yes, it's a heavier gun since the frame is made of alloy, but I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on that particular series of pistols.

CincinnatiDan (Ohio)

I am curious Nut’n, any similarly sized hammer fired guns you do recommend?

Ruben Lopez

Sorry for your loss, Nutn. Thoughts and prayers for your family.

duroSIG556R

Just get a p238 and be done with it.

David Goodridge

Have you looked at the new Ruget LCP II max? I’m wanting one

The Nutnfancy Project

"Off subject but found a NIB used CP33 last week. LOVE IT! About 1,000 rounds through it and it’s moved up to a favorite cast member in our houshold." Great to hear that; we love ours and once you get the magazines loaded up right it shoots good. A really fun gun.

The Nutnfancy Project

The P238 is a good suggestion just with 1911 battery of arms. On the upside this Pico is tiny and it's hard to match that.

CincinnatiDan (Ohio)

Thanks guys. I tried the P238 but don’t like the ‘cocked and locked’ because i’ve never found a good way to unload. I feel like i need a barrel of sand at the front door so i can drop the mag and fire the round into it. For now it’s the P365 and learning to trust the striker-fire.

The Nutnfancy Project

Totally agreed! I don't understand it either. But I do have to keep reviewing guns so I have to press to these wierd ones as we go on I guess

The Nutnfancy Project

Thank you Ruben. It still doesn't seem real that Paul is gone...I just can't accept it well. But I continue to function and put the thoughts out of my mind and press on. That's about all you can do.

Barry Gray

When are you going to review the Black aces tactical bull pup shotgun?

Foghorn

On the "cocked N Locked" the P938 is the 9mm big brother. Even with the safety locked you can still rack the slide and eject the round. 238 should work thee same way.

Cheesewell

If I'm using .380, it's gonna be the LCPII allll day son.

CincinnatiDan (Ohio)

Thanks Foghorn. I’ve not tried one beyond the sales counter. When the salesperson said “just like the 1911” i told him why I didn’t like the 1911 (for concealed carry) and handed the gun back. Salesperson did not mention what you just did. Let me add… i love the 1911 for it’s historical significance and 45 caliber and fantastic trigger. But appendix carry with the hammer cocked makes me uncomfortable.

JC

Hey, need some real world advice. Context: I have a homestead where I homeschool my kids and feed my family from. I would have to say that we spend roughly 85% of our time on the homestead. That includes all the fieldtrips we go on, trips to get animals, feed, etc. I currently carry my 9mm in my waxed leather shooting vest pocket holster. But, it gets so hot in the summer here (until my trees grow up and shade our whole homestead) that I bought a really cheap, crappy holster for my heritage .22LR. I am looking for a different system for my philosophy of use being my shotgun is always near but my work gun is either the 9mm (which is overkill for what I do) and the .22LR (which is underkill if I find someone attempting to take my livestock and I cant get to my shotgun). What do I do, Dudes?

Mike S

Not sure. Beretta imports small batches of the Cheetah 81, 84 and 85 from time to time. The last few years, however, there have been a lot of surplus Cheetahs have been imported.

Andrettski

The sad thing is that gun shops probably sold a ton of those to first time buyers. They'll have a bad range experience until they hopefully shoot something good.

Andrettski

Remember the Ford Pinto. The AMC Pacer. And TA-DAH, Chrysler brings you the PT Cruiser, all POS's, but the Cruiser takes the cake.

david rockwell

The prevalence of reliable micro 9mm handguns (e.g. S.A. Hellcat) offers a significant increase in defense versus .380. Unfortunately many uninformed firearm purchasers gravitate toward form over function. Thank you for the continued effort and dedication.

LabGuy

Kinda off topic. Anybody try wading through all the P365 aftermarket/ OEM parts? Im trying to add a 365xl slide to my regular 365 grip frame. Just seeing if you guys had any suggestions on useful add ons!

Lon N

JC, I used a Bianchi 19L thumb break OWB holster to carry my 1911 full size for many years of work on the farm. Spending a few extra $ on a decent quality gunbelt makes all the difference.
