Love my Seiko King Turtles!! Club house, clubhouse!

Clint Raby

Thanks for pointing out that I needed another watch Nutn!

Shot442

I hadn’t seen Momentum until this vid. Checkout the Zelos titanium Mako v3

Bluegill097

That “bottle cap” case style is pretty cool!

RowdyRon

Sea Turtle for the win. Outstanding collection for the watch show today. Thanks Nutn. PS: Hope you get one of the new Smith and Wesson M&P 12 to check out.

IndianaBen

Alpha Marine 500 is the only diver you’ve convinced me to buy, it’s excellent, nearly perfect. Mine is white with blue… don’t see it available on their site anymore?? I got it with their silicone band, it was very bulky and stiff for casual wear. Barton navy elite silicone band is a great improvement.

David and Elizabeth

Seiko is our favorite watch brand. Amazing history and value for the money. 👍 ❤❤❤

Bravo

Mark my words the term desk diver + will catch on in the watch community and only we will know it was started by nutnfancy.

Bravo

I also can’t express how badly I need the patch that says “no step on snek” that is hilarious and it just cracked me up so good. 😂😂😂

Downtrodden

I dig that Deep Blue. I love my SKX009J1 but spend more time with a G-Shock and Garmin Fenix6. The turtle is why we do adventures, because you won’t see that at home on the couch.

Schmuckatelli

That was my Deep Blue Master 1000 Diver that you hands modded. I was going to sell the watch because I simply could not tell the time unless I had my reading glasses on and was in very bright light. After the hands mod, I can now read the damn watch. Nutnfancy Hands Mod for the win! Link to before/after pictures of the NHM: https://imgur.com/a/IHt0coF

Schmuckatelli

I bought a Mater 1000 and after Nutn modded the hands, it's one of my favorite watches. I will pay much closer attention to the hands configurations on future buys. With my aging eyes, the hands can make or break the usefulness of a watch.

It would be really nice to hear your thoughts on what is happening in Afghanistan. Even though it is probably just a broken record on the piss poor performance of the Biden Regime.

HappyFrancisMacomber

I have the momentum smokejumper in black, xlnt. It’s basically a Hamilton khaki. I also nabbed a frost full lume dial Zelos hammerhead 3 - very cool and different from the homage crowd. I bet titanium zelos is great.

Scott Reichard

Agree. Afganistan opinion.. and how bad is it to leave billions in weapons and aircraft and the optical scanner military id system data

Cory Risseeuw

I have been on hundreds of dives. When I first bought gear I thought I needed a mac daddy expensive dive computer. Now I like the base large Suunto at a much cheaper price. What do you want a watch for diving for?

Bravo

@Christopher Davis thank you for the link dude those “no step on snek” patches are sick! Iv just ordred 3 😂

Hold Fast Joe

Great watches! The yak3 was actually a late war plane used around early 1945. Yak1s were early war, then yak9s then the 3. I don't know why, but that's how it worked out

The Nutnfancy Project

The turtle really made that expedition. Maybe I should say in the title "Turtle Approved" Glad you caught that.

Bravo

@Nutnfancy I can’t confirm that you started the term “Desk Diver +” but I have never herd it before and I am pretty into watches seen a lot of reviews from all different guys etc. But It will definitely gain traction

The Nutnfancy Project

Nice Schumckatelli, sorry I'd forgot. I am so happy that saved the watch with you. I will capture that photo too and put in in some future WRVs.

The Nutnfancy Project

We've spent billions in Afgh. trying to get those people to have a valid, democratic provisional govt and got nowhere. They actually blew up the infrastructure that we'd built them (pwr plants, schools, etc). They are not ready for democracy and self governing is the sad fact. And we lost 1000s over there for nothing (see movie Restrepo). We did/do have some great Afghan allies over there that have helped us and we should extract and take care of them. Biden has not. Instead bring over 1000s of unvetted mostly male refugees, coming to a community to you. The Biden puppet govt has totally botched the abandoning of A. also like they and will everything else. But with 95% of corporations and the CPF giving them top cover it will not adversely affect them. Clown world.

Lot of 30+ TNP patches for sale. I don't do social media so email me if interested at pbarnes43@gmail.com

ChillTheNerd

Way behind watching videos. Love em though. Always enjoyable to catch up.

Bravo

I ordered 3 of the “no step on snek” patches from a like a Patreon guy gave me. Then Nutn sent me his like so I ordered another because “gotta support the team.” Haha

Matt

Great review Nutn. Love my Seiko 5 field watch! Hopefully, I can pick one up. Keep the value watch content coming.

Nathan Simms aka Darkpriest

That turtle footage is amazing. I actually like the bezel on that watch the most because it has the 15 minutes blanked out. Super cool.

Tacticaldoodle

The green really looks like it has a nickname in the biz, like "casino top" or something. Green ain't so common. I like my 5's, but it really, really bugs me not having hand winding. it's much more reassuring being able to wind it manually when bringing it back into action. Tossing it around in the hand a bit is fine, but absentmindedly adding runtime quickly and surreptitiously is just fun for me. Aside from that, they are very accurate and easily set. perhaps the lack of winding helps keep them a bit thinner.

Jesse

Loved the first one. Great coloration and shape of the bessel. Thanks Nutn! I definitely hooked on watches 😅

Christopher Davis

Sorry, Nutn. Forgot you already had a link up. My bad … 🥴

david rockwell

Seiko really has the their corporate aesthetic refined to point where the style is instantly recognizable. Momentum continues to offer interesting watches that deviate enough to be unique while not adding unnecessary complications. Cool turtle footage. Thank you for the continued effort and dedication.

I've got one of the new Seiko 5s SRPE57K1F and I dig it. It's a bezeless watch that I put a grey suede strap on for special occasions. I didn't dig it too much on the bracelet. I got it for like 150 off retail a few months ago. They are great watches for the price since you can always find them on sale somewhere. That puts 3 Seikos in my collection. A really cool Seiko land series SRPD31K1 with a compass bezel that my parents got me for Christmas last year. I kinda wanted an Alpanist but I've fallen in love with the thing. Then I recently got a Seiko safarnie SNJ031 for a steal on Jomashop. I see why Arnie loved these in the 80s. And I totally dig the new solar module in it. I just don't understand why some people hate quartz. I only buy solar quatz now with a couple of autos and I love them. Just gotta make sure you store them in a well lit room and not in a darkened out watch box.😅

Logan Holmberg

Did they just take a Seiko Tuna case and not put a protective shroud on it? The thing screams striped down Tuna to me. I dig it. I'd buy one now if I hadn't just dumped a nice chunk of change (for me) on a Safarnie from a Jomashop sale. 😅 Love Jomashop BTW. The only thing I dislike about them is that they can take a long time to actually ship their watches. Plus they ship DHL and not the United States postal service. I like the dependability and especially NO handling fees from government post. Even if by the time it hits Canada, Canadapost charges me the taxes. It's still less than DHLs bloody handling fees.

Logan Holmberg

If you don't know you can get a milled clasp from Aliexpress for like 10 to 15 dollars. I got 3 so far and they are much better than the stock Seiko ones you usually get on their watches under $1K. I'm also tempted to pick up a ratcheting watch clasp from long island watch for my dual timezone Casio Edifice. It's a little expensive at 50 bucks but I'm dying to try one out as they usually only come on $2000+ watches that I've found.

Logan Holmberg

I don't hate stamped clasps but I do dislike the only 2 positions micro-adjustments Seiko and Casio tend to put on their bracelets from their "lower-end" watches. Why do they do that? I need at least 3 myself cause I loathe bracelets if they don't fit just right.

Logan Holmberg

That Momentum looks nice. I noticed they've started putting solar movements in some of their watches lately. Definitely thinking of picking up a Torpedo Pro Eclipse solar at some point. I think it's a Epson/Seiko mvmt? Probably if they offer some color options I'll take the plunge.

Logan Holmberg

damn the Steelix Eclipse - Solar field watches look cool too. I've been thinking of asking for one of those for my birthday next year but I can't decide if I want a blue, yellow or grey dialed one. The Dial is nice, simple and super legible like a Rolex Explorer and I dig that,

Logan Holmberg

I have a Momentum Fieldwalker and a Vortech GMT. Great watches. I am very tempted to get the new Torpedo and Steelix that they put Solar Mvmts in. FYI its says it's an Epson mvmt but I think it's just a rebranded Seiko mvmt. They are part of the same conglomerate.

Logan Holmberg

I think it's a stripped-down Seiko Tuna case. Thats really cool.
