Not as elegant as the Leatherman competition but the Gerber Suspension has tons to offer at its very low price and should be considered.  Watch out Nextool!

Also a fun discussion is here talking about 11 year old TNPrs who started with me and now are adults, some with their own families!

Thanks for your friendship and support here TNPP!

Yes, Three in one day! I'm so glad I got an original Leatherman Juice S2. I'd like to get another one from the secondary market. Sad it was discontinued. I use mine all the time. Nutn, I like your comment about a multi-tool being a stop-gap. I totally agree. If I have a small or quick task, the multi-tool comes out of my pocket. If it's more of a project, I head to my toolbox for the best tools for the job.

NatvMan

Agreed, Three in one day! Keep up the good work Nutn!

Jeremy Hicks

Crankin em out today! Thanks Nutn!

Jardine

It's hard to believe TNP has been around for so long. Year 15 I think?! That's basically a generation.

Todd Strelka

Hi Jardine. Good to see you here.

Ben H.

Thank you Jardine for supporting the project. I'm thankful that you've joined on quite a few adventures/shoots. I know life is busy and appreciate the time you've dedicated to help Nutn.

Ben H.

I'll be looking into this. I've been procrastinating getting a multitool for edc/gear bag.

Silas Porter

I have been watching since I was 15 and by far the most valuable thing I've learned from TNP is how to think. Your philosophy videos and how you assign a POU to an item along with all of the other talking points has helped shape all of my systems. While individual gear review videos are incredibly helpful, knowing how to build a system has been far more beneficial.

Nathan Simms aka Darkpriest

I've been using Gerber MT600s for years. I have two of them, one in the fanny pack and one in my rifle bag. I wouldn't be against owning leathermen's like the wave and charge, but they are 2 and 3 times the cost of my MT600s.

Robert Avery

I've been watching since 09-10. Love all the effort you continue to put in.

Griff

Thanks for the content. Picked a couple Juice S2 units after seeing your data years ago and basically had one in my pocket since. Amazing how it disappears in your pocket until you need it as a “stop-gap”. My wife’s c2 came in handy while camping over the weekend and she needed the corkscrew.

Kinoons

Also been watching for 13 or so years. Just missed the first waves of vids. But that means I have some good gear like my kelty Eagle and spyderco manix 2 LW blades. For MTs I’ve been a wave guy for decades all the way back to my EMS career. Now I find I won’t be without one. What I’ve been searching for is the best MT I can find without a knife so it can get through TSA. The dime stunk. A style PS is meh. The swiss army offerings lack pliers. Guess I’m the only guy that wants a MT after TSA.

Brad Fegan

Yes!!!......another MT review. I gravitated to the Juice Xe6 these days. Like to have scissors and a file in my daily MT. Will on occasion, gravitate to larger MT, when need arises. Which one depends upon task.

Patrick Richards

Loyal TNP’r since 2008-2009. Big part of my life! Thank you NUTN!

Dylan Campbell

I found TNP in 2016 and have never looked elsewhere for good trustworthy content as far as growing up watching the project when my four year old daughter hears me watching she asks “Dad are you watching Nutnfancy again?” LOL

Dylan Campbell

What’s up Jardine !!! I really enjoy the gun videos you are in. You seem like a really genuine dude. Thanks for taking the time out to help with some of the gun content !!!

Jerry Hall

I just ordered one on your recommendation. Thank you for excellence

Bravo

Why do I feel like this video is directed at me haha. Kid to grown up viewer, check. Leatherman juice fan, check. Wrote a post complaining about the discontinuation of the juice s2 a couple days ago… check 😂. I was actually gunna comment on my post saying something like “and there’s nutn sitting pretty with his collection of identical Juice s2’s because he was either smarter or had the funds at the time unlike all of us.” Thanks for the vid Nutn I will check it out after I finish the vid

Bravo

And you referenced the leatherman bond haha! Defiantly directed to me

Me

I carry the Victorinox Swiss Tool (full size) in a fanny pack/sling/man purse depending on my whim that week - I love it ... A great piece of mind

Garrett Dismukes

Nutnfancy Iv been watching your videos since I was 16 years old back in 2007, I’m 29 now and my second son will be born in the next week or two. I have a fantastic father, but I have learned a ton from you, and you’ve been another great mentor in my life. I have been fortunate to have several. Thanks for what you do. Your making a difference. Love the content and focus on the family. Keep on keeping on, and adventuring. I’ll keep doing the same down here in Mississippi.

Hold Fast Joe

I like that freedom girl coin! The silver one is my favorite of Chris Duane designs. Silver shield is pretty awesome

Andrettski

I've been waiting to dive into the MT realm, primarily because my EDC knives are usually enough 4 me, but $30 bucks for this Gerber is a no brainer for my first. I'm not all that concerned about the blade it has because I think like most of us, we would still carry whatever fave folder in another pocket. Thanks Nutn.

Elijah Ballard

I’ve been watching since about 2011. Changed my outlook on life and how I want to spend my time. Btw I’m 21 now.

Ol Retired Fed

Years ago you size shamed me into upgrading from the Mini to the Juice. I still carry the Juice everyday. The Bond is an updated clone of my original late 1980's Leatherman. My Juice weighs in at 4.7 oz and the original at 5.2 oz. not much difference. Sissors vs file, which would I need more? Hopefully, they will clone the Juice again. I would probably buy another one. Are you listening Leatherman?

Elijah Ballard

Nutn I’m a combo welder and I’m in the field all the time. The multi tool was hands down the most useful tool I could keep on me up until I broke it trying to cut welding rod in half with the wire cutters.

Christopher Davis

I’ve been carrying an orange Juice (haha) S2 for almost ten years now. I occasionally check out Leatherman’s (and others’) current offerings, but have yet to be convinced to switch. Not sure what Leatherman was thinking discontinuing the Juice … 🙄

The Nutnfancy Project

Yep it is tailor made for you Bravo, thanks for sticking with me all this time! Juice S2 will always be the top dog for daily carry for me. I forgot to mention that the Suspension is not as trim as that one btw.

The Nutnfancy Project

Thanks so much Garrett for being with me for so long! Yep you're another like time TNPr who started as a young man. I hope in some small way I have helped square your systems away and imparted a little life wisdom along the way. All best for you in MS>

The Nutnfancy Project

Agree on all accounts Andre, and yep at the price this Suspension is a no brainer, really xlnt for that low cost

The Nutnfancy Project

Yeah buddy! Glad to hear it. I will keep providing all the same as the Project continues to truck on. Hey maybe even your kids will be watching me!

The Nutnfancy Project

I hope they are listening. All things can be improved and upgraded Juice would be cool. The Original at 5.2 oz was and still is a work of art. About the only bad thing I could level against it is no scissors and sharp edges when using the pliars.

Bravo

No problem Nutn any time I’m looking at a non TNP review 9/10 times I’m disappointed. And we love your philosophys, rants and especially the idea of systems (ex. LPAC HPAC) and the idea that everything is part of a system is so overlooked in knife/ tactical community. I’m hoping leatherman makes a new version of the juice, same compact formula maybe offer some different colours from the original juice, maybe different materials for the blade and Handel. I’m the meantime I might pick up a Bond to relieve my juice and preserve the rest of its life.

The Nutnfancy Project

Yep. I doesn't surprise me that the welding rod would over tax that MT. They're great for light to medium cuts on soft, thin steel but above that they fall short. I've done a fair amount of nail cutting with them and it's easy enough to make any MT fail if I want it to ;-)

The Nutnfancy Project

Totally agree, it just doesn't get any better for EDC than the Juice. Maybe I get them to bring back a TNP version. I did look into it years back and the buy in was insane, like $10,000 from me to get the version going and a lead time of 1.5 yrs. I lost interest when faced with that.

Joshua Pulliam

I have one of the original Gerber Suspension MTs. I got it as a gift and it was my first “real” MT. I used it for many years until I got my Wave+. It was a good tool, but the Wave+ is just so much better. And I’m one of those guys that if Nutn gear checked me I’d have a full size MT on my belt. I carry my Wave+ at work and a Rebar that shares sheath space with a Benchmade Rescue Hook when I’m not at work.

Bear Independent

I've got that Gerber in a pouch on my plate carrier (below and left of my owl patch...) and have found it to be excellent for the price. If I lose it while doing the things... oh well, it's only $30...

Schmuckatelli

So bummed about the Juice S-2. I only have one, so I paused the video and bought a second one off eBay. Prices are already starting to skyrocket on them.

Schmuckatelli

Dude!!! A TNP blue Juice S-2 would have been the bomb!

DuginIN

Leatherman Juice KF4 is my sometimes EDC. Discontinued, now collectible. No scissors but I’m good with the trade off. Fortunately I have two, one to use, and the other in my collection.

Jonathan-James

I like this MT. Especially at th 30 dallor mark. Got one maybe a year ago and its my daily edc. I liked it so much(again at this price point) went and bought three more to put in kits.

Casey Jones

I have the original Suspension and man, it’s heavy. I don’t edc it for that reason. I’ve been happy with its performance. Nice to see they have a lighter version.

Thomas Wheeler

Pulling teeth? Gotta say, far from ideal. I would take a screwdiver over pliers most of the time.

Mike Murphy

I lost my Juice S2 a few months ago on a bachelor party, & have been crushed ever since because now I can't replace it. Soul crushing. Nothing from the Leatherman lineup fills that void perfectly.

Zach Maddox

I carry a Leatherman Rebar every day. Its about the perfect balance of capabilities to weight.

Steve Feeser

Every car I own has a good tool box. Home has several tool boxes. I carry a sak great scissors and a few other handy items. I may get a mt for my backpack. When I'm out I am nowhere near my tool boxes.

Harrison Nobles

Just got mine from Amazon, it's great feeling and I'm glad I got one.

Jayson Fraser

I found a Juice C2 about a month ago at Gunnies! There was only one, so I'm guessing it had fallen behind a shelf for years or something. I wish it was the S2 (I'll probably never use the corkscrew), but of course I still bought it. I have a micra on my keys so I still have scissors in my edc system. It has replaced my beloved Juice CS4 in my edc. I got that tool as a gift from my grandmother when I turned 11 and started boy scouts. It was my only knife growing up and my entire tool set through college, then was carried daily for years. It was still going strong, but for nostalgia I wanted to replace it before I lost it. I couldn't find anything else that would fill the role. I hope they make something like the juice again.

david rockwell

A knife less Rebar is used daily at work ( https://www.leatherman.com/knifeless-rebar-465.html ) due to toolbox is frequently on other side of plant. I concur with your observation that a multi-tool is always a compromise, it is always with me however. [Place of employment is very overt on their 'no weapons' policy. Protectionists will never feel the free wind of dangerous liberty; so sad.] Thank you continued effort and dedication.

Jason Boyles

Best multi tool I ever owned, was a Gerber with the quick snap out pliers back in the 90's. I was in the equipment renal business and used that thing constantly. My mistake was letting a co-worker borrow it. It ended up under an excavator track. I got the money for it, but never found a proper replacement...

Han So Oh

Juice s2 was my first multi. One night my sister's car battery died on one of the coldest nights, and her at the time idiot bf reversed polarity trying to jump it, blowing every fuse. I changed every fuse in the freezing cold, and dark using my juice s2. Succeeded, but unfortunately lost the juice. My sis felt bad and bought me a wave replacement. I carried that wave for 15 years before breaking it. LM replaced it under warranty. But I got impatient waiting and bought a charge plus.

Aaron Knesal

I purchased a PST in the late 80's and have been a Leatherman guy ever since. A friend gave me a Gerber multi-tool that slides out the front and I absolutely HATED it. I wanted to like it but everything about it sucked. I found a Leatherman Side-Clip online about five years ago and its been in my left pocket (opposite the knife) every day. The Side-Clip would be my favorite multi for them to revisit.

PeepsOnEaster

Wonder how well it'll stand up to sea water. My skeletool getting rusty.

Paul Kainz

I used to have a leatherman juice c2, I loved that little guy. Then I went to Kenya for a vacation and when I got to a train station they made me take it out of my bag because it had a knife blade. Never was able to get it back, and I can't find the Juice C2 anywhere except Ebay (where it is wayyyyy to expensive).

Sam Brower

I have 2 Ferber suspensions issued by my squadron and I have been really happy with them. After my Gerber dime on my key chain (my high percentage carry) the suspension is the one I turn to most often.

jonathan ocampo

I edc my nxt. I use it more than anything when ldt calls. I keep a leatherman micra as my robin because it has tweezers. But also if I’m around the soy-croud. Soy-croud love mini shit. Its because their beta mentality doesn’t permit manly tools.

Late to this video, was busy with world events in August of 21. I came across the Nutnfancy Project in 2010 as a sophomore in high school. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to an ar-15 and discovered Nutn’s su-16c review and began following the channel. The Air Force stories series even helped me with my decision to join the Air Force and become a pilot. Now I’m 27 and have 3 daughters of my own, can’t believe I’ve been watching that long. Thanks Nutn for all the entertainment, data points, life advice and more. Keep up the good work!
