Similar to the Springfield XD/XDM series, the Zigana represents an amazing value.  Check out that price. We found it was reliable and accurate although not the lightest polymer pistol around. Taken on multiple outings, the PX9 surprised us as we were prepared to hate it.

Nutnfancy on Zigana PX9 9mm

Comments

Nathan P Hubsch

Saw a Beretta Performance 92x at my LGS, wondering if it's worth the price, might be cool to review.

Adam Boyd

Very nice! How does it compare to Canik? Better? Same? Not as good?

The Nutnfancy Project

I would prefer a Canik. The PX9 is totally reliable but I prefer the Walther P99/Canik ergos more. Canik has been raising their prices so if cost is paramount then the PX9 would win.

Cool gun and all but did we see you on a CRF300 Rally!? 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️

Do the Tisas 1911-A1 US Army . Hrfunk reviewed it . He said it looks just like the one he used in the Marine Corps in the 90's. I'd love to see your take . You were in whilst the 1911 was still around. I am no expert on pilots though. Not certain if you were issued a 1911 or not. It would be cool to hear a pilots perspective on the POU of the 1911 and test for reliability. That Tisas looks awesome. I like old fashioned crap

Comment on ammo, I'm seeing much better prices now. Grabbed a case of 9mm 115gr brass for 320 shipped. I hope this level holds or continues to fall. Planning to grab another case a month through out winter so I'll have plenty to go play. Also prediction on not breaking anything probably true. These all seem as reliable as Glock anymore and I'm past 5000 without changing anything in a gen4 g19. Great review! Looks like a huge win for someone looking to save a few bucks. Those sites are very nice! Certainly beats the dumb plastic bucket and ball Glock sites

i love it when a value pistol does well, gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. it's also nice to get a reminder that buying a PPQ was an excellent decision.

Or 250 maybe? But def a Honda Rally. If I had to start over in ADV riding I’d be all over those. I’m a Honda fanboy despite selling my XR650R.

David Elkins

That’s a good value for a secondary backup (not on person backup gun) gun to a primary. I prefer for my secondary guns to be same make and model if possible, but if money was a problem, or supply availability limited choices, that could be a good choice. So many good guns on the market nowadays.

Rick Grad

New shooter’s delight! A good gun and a case of ammo for about $700! Solid deal.

Paul Kwiatkowski

Buy a good one, buy it once…for a good price. Thanks for the value review.

Andrettski

I'm upset with myself for not getting a Walther PPQ years ago. Still don't own a single Walther at all, so that's really next on the wish list, maybe the Q5 Match SF?

Andrettski

I'm curious Nutn about what choice you'd make between the PX9 and the SAR 9?

Casey Jones

I was one of those guys with the tear from the PPQ. Love it

Richard Leonard

Good (honest) review. I'll have to sell my revolver to get one of these, but I think she'll do just fine.

The Nutnfancy Project

Hello Richard! Yep, you'll like this. It's a bit heavy as noted but rest is xlnt.

Trevor K

buy it. stash it. if you can remember where you put it maybe 15 years from now you might need it. not like you will miss it but the price is right.

Paul Colburn

This guy is $250 on classic firearms right now

Han So Oh

DDG was in the news for issues relating to woke HR dept. I went to Brave browser

If I was looking for another type of gun I would check these out. I will stick to Canik and Glocks for now.

Matt

+1 on the Canik. Surprised nutn didn't ref That Canik as a comepative option.

Anthony Schaad

I will say here in WV, ammo is fairly available. Price is just jacked… double the amount should b paying for it .

I still have the OG XD. Got it years and years ago when they first came around. There's alot of crap I have that I would choose before it as a GTW pistol. I gotta say though mines been accurate and reliable and over the years it's may have 1k rounds through it. I have quite a few pistols so I gotta spread the love. But if it's all I had or as a donor gun, truck gun, stash gun, ect. I wouldn't be upset that's for sure. This guns basically a XD copy. Not my first choice at all I'm going glock, sig, or S&W. In winter I'll even run a 357 mag revolver model 60, 686, SP101 or a higher caliber semi auto. Not the best choice personally, but it's certainly not a bad choice if it's what you had at your disposal.

Bought the Zigana. The worst part about these is finding the right config e.g. gen1/gen2, with the right mags and sights. I got the one with tritium night sights and 2 15 round mags. If I had to do it again, i’d get the one with 18 rd mags and different sights. The night sights are garbage. I only paid $249 though. Well, just took it out shooting and the thing will run Tula steel case all day long and is incredibly accurate and easy to shoot well. The metal trigger is better than the XD.

Caniks don’t run in my experience. I’m done with them.
