Thanks TD and Nutn!! Love tandem KRVs!

Raymond Kuhn

TD can't rip em' like the old man lol.

There are a limited number of knife styles, and we are reaching the point of design saturation where its difficult to imagine anything that is new and unique without being wacky. I've been hoarding knives (and guns, lights, MTs, SAKs and Man Bags) for 30 years, and my purchasing has really dropped off because there is not that much truly new anymore. I did recently buy a Spydie Resilience Lightweight (all black), which is pretty cool.

Looks like the Momentum Flatline 42mm may be a thing of the past. Yo.

Between TD's wet farts and your breakfast burrito burps, this KRV needs a warning disclaimer.. if not for the abundance of bodily discharges occurring, then at least for the mediocre folding knife. Ending this brutally honest KRV with a belch (by the way...it gets a 7 out of 10) is like the exclamation point at the end of a sentence. Thanks for the competitive options and for the wrist check. Keep up the top tier entertainment level KRVs. This one made my day.

That Dawson knife is a great looking blade and paired with the sheath/holster, it is fantastic. A bit pricey for me, but their packaging, insert, and unabashed willingness to profess their faith in more than one place takes it up the scale for a potential purchase. That handle is just awesome too!

Bernal

How are they going to make a fixed blade with no lanyard hole? I got to have my lanyard hole.

Bernal

After trying grip tape on my folding knives, there is no going back for me though. Grip tape is better than lanyards on the folding knives for sure.

New favorite scripture! Thanks 😝

dude....dude....dude........a dawson TNP edition Fixed blade. NEED IT.

Fascinating post. That’s a lifetime of collecting. Would be interesting to see some of your fav designs from the years. I’ve got that all black resilience in a home defense system.

I just found some super grippy stair tread sticker things my father had in storage. I’m looking forward to putting some strips on a Al Mar that needs a bit more traction.

hoplite ⚔️

Knives and farts?! Looking forward to this one.

Jay

Hey Nutn, did you notice that the sheath can be worn horizontally?

Downtrodden

That Dawson just blew my mind. On the pricey side but you can clearly see the value. I’m a big fan of hand made.

Bernal

I didn’t get it until I tried it. I was pleasantly surprised. I noticed easier deployment than the lanyard and doesn’t get in the way when I access the pocket.

David Madsen

Spoke too soon.....Huntsman SOLD OUT on Dawson Knives website.....SORRY

Lon N

I've used an alternative to grip tape on a couple knives and the front strap of my 1911's - a layer of epoxy glue tinted with flat black paint and some "traction additive" intended for epoxy floor paint. It works well and isn't quite as sharp as traction tape.

You guys make me laugh. Thumbs up to Dawson will be looking through their catalogue.

Mark Hodges

A fresh Brazilian!?! Love the random commentary!

RowdyRon

Dawson has some lovely fixed blades. Thanks Nutn. Happy New Year to all TNP and family. Here's to 2022 a little better.

Lon N

Awesomely honest KRV -as always. Thanks gentlemen. A bumper sticker worthy of the webstore. The sole Kizer I have is the Splint that Kizer produced for Olight...It rates an overall "meh" in my opinion.

Hold Fast Joe

Fun review, those fixed blades look great! Thanks

Boone Mill Farm

I’ve watched a ton of TNP Krv’s. Once before I had my switched flipped but couldn’t get it. Switch flipped again. Not now but I’ll give it time. Just keep peek’n. Thanks Nutn.

J Ram

Tac D, you need to look into doing movie trailers dude!!....In a world...where an EDC folding knife is needed to take on the job of classic hunting fixed blade.....lol

Rob Miller

Thanks for the video. Fun to watch and educational to boot.

+1 Bumper Sticker Was wondering about that olight knife

Trey

Dawson knives makes some sick knives!

hoplite ⚔️

Nice one. I’m thinking of putting on the finger index spot on a pistol too

Joshua Pulliam

I’ve never heard of Dawson knives until now. I’ve been in the market for a new hunting fixed blade for awhile now. I just haven’t seen what I’m looking for yet. I’ll definitely be checking them out.

Hugh Amlett

Never heard of Dawson but they look great. I bought a SRK compact to fill a hunting role and was not impressed, dull from factory and hard to re-profile, should've got the full size.

Daniel Herb

Haven't heard of Dawson Knives before but seems pretty legit. BladeHQ is out of stock on all I could see right now though. Maybe next time, thanks for the intro to a cool brand Nutn.

Carl Bailey

Dawson is now making the hunsman in magna-cut. Outside my budget but very cool.

Jason Boyles

That Dawson is sexy AF! They are very much on my radar now. Thanks Nutn

Andrettski

That Kizer Hunter looks like a real miss. And I love my Kizer Kesmec. The Dawson at 5.6 oz for a fixed blade of that capability is outstanding, damn good lookin' too, like a slinky Brazilian beach dweller.
