Some elite donor TNPrs were kind of enough to send me their watches for review. "OK if I put some ocean wear on these pieces?" I say. "Sure, that would be awesome." So I took these two viewer Orient dive watches into the Pacific Ocean. Water and sand testing video shown. At tabletop I'll deliver a needed criticism to the Orient watch design; it's boring and repetitive.  Most Orient dive watches look the same (see my reviews below).  Look to the Spinnaker brand (below) on some exciting dive watch looks.

And then talk about a lot of good stuff too. The movements, build quality, value, sapphire crystals, and bezel action are all superb. Of course I can't help myself and competitive options are shown as well. A feature length adventurous WRV made possible by our my good donors.

Correction: Donor's name was George Christakos in Canada (not Greg, so sorry)

WRVs are becoming my favorite part of TNP lol

ohhhhhhh boy, excited to watch this!! That's my watch! Mind Blown!!! KK back to work, focus....focus!!

Thanks. You should do an “OG” Seiko Prospex Turtle review, and check out some of the Maratac watches. Be careful diving solo out there (understanding that you may have cast members topside.) Just want you to be safe, and to keep putting out this excellent content.

Su-weet! I never heard of this brand. I just finished diving in the US Virgin Islands. Was using a DEEP BLUE Daynight 45 Tritdiver based on your recommendation. Got lots of compliments at dinner...the reef sharks didn't seem to notice tho.

Red watch = Rad That watermark on the bottom right corner of the screen (with the AR) needs to be a T-Shirt for sale on your website bro! So sick! Where are the Suck Less patches? I talked my neighbor into getting an AR . We need some motivation.

I do like the Seiko Turtle case. It gives a slightly different look to the overdone dive watch.

I am sort of luke warm on bracelets also. I do not like jubilee or rice bead bracelets at all. I just think they look awful. I can tolerate the oyster bracelets on some watches. I recently purchased a Deep Blue P U bracelet (black matte rubber links) in the hopes that I would love it. It turns out I do not. It is much lighter than its cousin, the shiny meTal bracelet, but that still does not make me love it. So...thanks to Nutn, not only have I become addicted to watches, but I've started modding them also. At first, I never thought I would be opening the case back of a watch for anything more than replacing the battery, but I recently put a sapphire crystal on a watch and even swapped out a dial and movement between two watches (See the Casio with the Pepsi bezel and blue dial, link below). Lately I have been on a tear matching color coordinated NATO straps to watches. There is a watch group on Gab and I've been posting pictures there. I've even bought specific watches just so I could pair it with a particular NATO strap. I've got more straps on the way, but here is a sample of what I've been working on: https://photos.app.goo.gl/sPz3vXFnY2RJ4UT16

That Orient Triton Automatic Green you showed Nutn was my favorite. I would get that one....

maxmfs

Nice work on the watches. You should get onto Watchuseek, if you’re not on there already. There are a lot of guys there who would probably like your projects. I have a Zulu on my Turtle, and have started adding them to my G-Shocks.

J Ram

Dang it Colonel!! I'm trying to help my bank account recover...these KRVs and WRVs are NOT helping!!! Great review sir, keep them coming.

hoplite ⚔️

I was grinning the whole time. So cool to be part of a WRV. Thanks for taking me up on sending it in! There really isn’t anyone doing watch reviews like Nutn. What a fresh and unique video product. Thanks for sharing your artistry with us! For anyone thinking about an Orient, I am really happy with mine. It’s my first auto and I spent a lot of time researching what to get. Bought and returned a few models before I settled. Orient is a bit of a sleeper brand known for their quality and value. 🍻 2 TNPP

hoplite ⚔️

Totally. It seems as they have usurped Seiko in the value automatic category.

hoplite ⚔️

It’s a really nice green color. I recommend it!

If you have a Seiko Prospex Turtle lmk, I might review it. I have a Maratac in stock but debate whether to review it as it's discontinued. I do try to be careful out there, I always have that inflatable vest and a whistle and try not go more than 400 yds or so off shore.

The Nutnfancy Project

"..the reef sharks didn't seem to notice tho. " No sense of taste them sharks. Great score on the DB DayNight, sooo xlnt of a watch. Glad it makes you happy, that's what all this is about, thanks Tim.

The Nutnfancy Project

All copy. I'll see if that can change. I think I'm locked into just the Channel thumb nail. Doodle is lazy and disorganized and can't seem to get the patches. I'm trying to get LS to do it; he did the current hats and shirts.

The Nutnfancy Project

You bet J Ram, more breaks from purchasing will be coming in adventures and like the philosophy video. Thanks much my friend.

Great vid Nut, do you think PRO TREK by Casio Men's 51mm Solar Quartz Digital Resin Strap Watch GREEN / MEN'S Clearance Price $147.94 is a good buy?

Q

Love my Pro Trek, buy it!! - jq / Great vid as usual nutn

I do have a Seiko Prospex Turtle that I’d be willing to ship out to you for a review. I currently have it on a Maratac Zulu five buckle, but I can dig out the OEM straps, box, and papers, and send everything to you. As luck would have it, the SMAEL in my Patron goodie bag led me to go out and buy a GG1000, then a GWG1000, and finally a DW9400. (And to rewatch all your reviews.) Anyway, catch and release on the GG1000, but I am keeping the others, and giving them some wrist time, so I can spare the Turtle. I think Turtles are a great option for TNP’ers, since if one does one’s homework, one can find deals, and get a real professional-grade tool for a reasonable price. I’ll DM you.

Bernal

Awesome. I’m saving up for a 511 LBE vest. I saw them on sale - $70 (511.com). Suck less would be perfect on it. When they become available, I’ll buy some of the other patches too, been eyeing them for a while. Thanks Nutnfancy 👍

Bernal

TD... haha. Give the kid a break. It’s gotta be tuff when your dad is freakin’ Batman!🤣

Bernal

Ok. No t-shirt. Smart, gun shirts and sticker attract bad attention. I’m thinking poster, just saying... That’s great photo.

Tim Bone

Perhaps I missed it in other WRVs but how do you clean your dive watches after a salt-water dive? I figure there has to be more to it than simply flushing it with fresh water...maybe wiping down with a good CLP would help protect it from corrosion? 🤔

Andrettski

I have a Luminox and 2 Deep Blues, and I'm not a diver, so there's that. I'm strictly a fashion/cool factor watch wearer. So something has to really blow me away for any future watch purchase. I still really enjoy the WRV's though. I just wish you would open a 'watch mod' shop so I could send my watches for you to mod for me.

Daniel Herb

I pulled the trigger today and got it hahah!

Tacticaldoodle

Can’t beat the Amazon price for custom ones, freaking five bucks in all the different. Colors of the camo rainbow. I can’t really beat this cost anymore: https://amzn.to/3FMgG6a

Tacticaldoodle

They’ve gone crazy, the skx really went to their heads, they seem intent on moving further upmarket. :(

Tacticaldoodle

Just a rinse should be fine, adding oils can do more harm than it’s worth, since there’s no way to clean out any of the stuff that gets attracted to them. I’ve heard of guys thinking they helped things by putting some in the stem, only to fin it seep in deep and start gumming up the works. Autos are freakin’ picky!

hoplite ⚔️

Nice watches and straps. What is that casio at the end with the yellow seconds hand?

Ryan Reese

Dude! Glad my Sheffield made it on the table and I love the shout out! Super late to the party, been busy with a TDY all week.

Bernal

Thanks Tac! 👍

Logan Holmberg

I've been meaning to pick up an Orient but just haven't found one that tickled me in the right place yet. I've got a Seiko Prospex SRPD31K1 from their land series if your looking for more watches to review....if you're interested.

Logan Holmberg

Count me out of Spinnaker if they weather their watches. I love weathering but weathering from me wearing it. Weathering tells a story about your watch and sorry artificial weathering is not for me.

maxmfs

I wasn’t familiar with this one. I just checked it out. Nice! That’s a good looking and capable watch. It has has the same functional beauty aesthetic, and appears to offer the same exceptional price/value equation, as the Prospex Turtle I’ve offered to lend. What do you say, Nut’n? Between our two watches, I see the makings of an excellent “Seiko Prospex - More for Your Money - Surf & Turf” episode coming together…

The Nutnfancy Project

Sure Logan, send that Seiko Prospex SRPD31K1 in and I'll review it. Contact me on messaging here and I'll give you the info. Thanks much.

david rockwell

The dual watch review interspersed with real world testing was quite enjoyable and informative. The amount of thought and enthusiasm put forth in TNP is always appreciated. Thank you for the continued effort.

Chris Marchi

Another great watch review! Please do more!
