It looks great and SAWC are prefect in the subcompact GX4 by Taurus. Honestly we were quite excited about it: a P365 for less maybe.  Let's see how it did!

Very good to have this additional data point. Regarding P365, i still highly prefer the Shield Plus (and I own both). I have XL hands and the Shield Plus' grip simply is better for big hand guys, in my view.

Love the curves of the Taurus Rep ERRRRRRR, I mean the GX4. I got the G3 a month ago and have put about 300 rounds through it with zero issues. Granted it's all been Blazer Brass 115 gr. Absolutely love the way it shoots and feel in hand. I could carry it but not sure I'm ready to put my life on the line with a Taurus. Kinda why I haven't wanted to test defense ammo in it. $$

I believe the Hellcat has overtaken the 365 in sales for some time now, but may be mistaken.

All these me too 365 copies are great for the market. But the Hellcat Pro is an illustration of where the market is going… For some good reasons, and also just companies looking for the next widget to sell, we’re going to see more of those patterns come out: Hellcat Pro and Glock 48 sized guns with 15rd+ capacity. It’s actually a pretty desirable formula.

Thanks for the warning Nutn. As long as the Communist Dictatorship endures here...the GX4 will never be available in California...but if it was...I'd still pass...Why? My guns need to be 100% reliable right out of the box AND be able to fire shit ammo or they get pitched..

Yea I’ve definitely noticed Taurus upping their game … peekn my interest lol. I carry mostly my 365XL an it definitely won’t replace that butttt maybe a backup/truck gun ! Soo want that knife btw, I remember them coming out and I almost bought one but didn’t… darn it lol. Thanks for the great review Nutn!

I was waiting to see if GX4 accepted P365 mags. That would be pretty sweet. Especially with the possibility of the GX4 mag coming apart on contact with a hard surface.

Lavitra should have ponied up for a thousand rounds! I guess if you have to run it 500 rounds to trust it, it loses its economic advantage over a more expensive option.

My wife has a G3C that was her first 9mm and is now in a backup role. I like its size much more than my standard P365 from a pure shooting perspective. Just like Nutn’s review, it was dry out of the box and difficult to rack. After lube and break-in, it’s run well.

Nutn perhaps it would help folks out if you made a couple short top 5 videos, top 5 ccw pistols/gtw pistols/ edc knives etc. With just a short why section. I think it would help people sift through the hundreds of videos. Especially new comers

Dang I wanted this to be a RAVE review… oh well it happens I bought my GX4 because the new Taurus guns have been so good. I’ve shot mine probably 200-250 rounds and not one stoppage or light primer strike. Love the size to rounds count ratio with these type pistols. Better luck next time Taurus LOL

I bypassed the GX4 and opted for the G3 series just to give Taurus a try. So far no issues with either the G3 or G3C. Seriously considering the G3XL. Really like the ability to swap magazines around (except for the 12). Reminds me of another manufacturer 🤔. Not interested in the TORO versions. Just another thing to go south. Keep up the great work!

Seemed pretty rave to me. Especially at that price point. Light primer strike seems like an easy fix to me. Id be stoked on this review if i had one!

That should be up to a secondary channel making nutnfancy clips vids. Nutn always says editing sucks. Plus i rather he review more cool shit than edit a top 5 video. Plus those never have good life. They have to be updated every time something great comes out. They are maintenance sink holes.

He does it to maximize views. Supply and demand. If he ups supply, demand goes down. I think he found a sweet spot. Perfect flow for me personally.

By short I mean 5 minutes on table top. No pou, no b-role. Just here's my top 5 picks based on value and here's the links to the full reviews. Plus nutn is rarely over the moon about a new gun so he'll rarely want to update them. Again I think this would help newcomers sift through an overwhelming volume of content. Maybe Nutnfancy would be willing to do a pole?

I've had A+ service from my PT111, G2c, G3c, G3 and GX4. Not one failure to feed, fire or eject from any of them. I think a lot of people are stuck in 2008 re: their opinions about Taurus. While its true that these are "budget" guns, the general consensus is increasingly thumbs up for Taurus. And the GX4 fits my hand better than any guns in the genre: P365, Hellcat, etc. YMMV of course.

Is dropping your mags on the ground really something you need to practice? Me says no. You are never going to actually need a reload while someone is trying to kill you. And pretending that you do need it, it takes no practice to let the mag hit the ground. I just don't like destroying my gear for no good reason. But I'm in the minority on that one I know. Peace out, brothers.

Thanks for the review, Nutn! My father-in-law is looking at getting one of these. He's enjoyed his PT111 G2c up until this point, I think he' just starting to think it's too big for him to CC.

I agree with those that say Taurus sucks. They deserve the bad reputation. Its been along time since ive owned one but they are so bad i would never give em another chance. When i first got into guns i bought three of em because i liked the safety. I got two full size 24/7s and two milleniums and three of them were absolute junk. The only thing worst than the guns in the customer service. I dont think ive ever had customer service than them ever. Stay away from them
