Another Hall of Famer, 5.11 puts together some great watches. Of course they're not making them but they have designed them and verify quality of these pieces by putting their name on them. Here I'll cover the Field, Pathfinder, and Sentinel models. All have super tough construction and use Swiss Ronda quartz movements. You'll see them in action under the ocean in action. They look great, have xlnt legibility, perfect straps you won't have to change out, and have great bezels. Some can be had for great prices also. They represent much high value that other makes like the over hyped Hazard 4 brand (https://youtu.be/NkwWlOYZKWI). I've used these watches for years now and they have my highest recommendation.

5 11 Field Watches: Dive or Fight

That's neat, I bought one back in 2018. With Kangaroo strap and yellow date window. Works fine for me might be big for small wrists. I like the tape mod you did. Would like orange hands maybe a green second hand just to make it pop.

Todd Strelka

Those are some great looking watches. The price is reasonable too.

Are you planning to Review a DOXA watch? I don't have one, but the diving history is interesting

Tim Bone

Still looking for the perfect watch eh Nutn? Me too. After some 40 years my journey continues. Still haven't found the ONE...

Jayson Fraser

I’ve seen these and wondered if they were any good. I do like the looks of that field watch 2.0, but it doesn’t quite do it for me at that price. Maybe if I find a good sale eventually I’d grab one. I do like the quality that 5.11 usually puts out (especially in clothing). Great review!

Thank you for the review Nutn! I’ve been wondering when you were going to get to the 5.11s! I love the looks of the Field Watch 2.0 in FDE. The lume on my Citizen is pretty good, but doesn’t last super long. But the lume on my Pro-Trek is just ridiculous! I can almost use the lume to illuminate things up close in the dark!

Thanks for another great WRV. Sweet watches. I find that when it comes to field watches (field purpose, not look), I end up wearing my analog automatic Seiko Turtle on a Zulu with a maratac compass, or my quartz digital Casio Rangemaster on a Zulu (apples and oranges, I know). Then there is my Casio DW-6600 which I have had and worn forever, way before American Sniper sent their prices into the stratosphere. (Before the DW-6600, I wore a DW-6000 throughout my time in the Marines.)

For watch nerds a new Dan Henry is scheduled release on next Thursday at noon est. Only thing I know about it is it's supposed to be a pilot's watch and it has an awesome spitfire on the case back

Hold Fast Joe

My own collection is a massive 3 piece set lol I just rarely spend money on myself. I do enjoy looking at them and the reviews are great!

i have two watch boxes filled and my go to is my hamilton field watch waiting for titanium day date release in an automatic movement

The Nutnfancy Project

Oh I have many favorites, this is one. Really the Watch show here is about mostly the winners. Almost all that I've reviewed I truly love. I could never narrow it down to one!

The Nutnfancy Project

Thanks Josh. I wanted to test these good before the review. The 5.11s are truly good watches. If you get them on sale, they're great.

The Nutnfancy Project

All good choices max! I will post the Turtle review soon. I though I had but I think it was just showing your SRP777 is 2 or so tabletop reviews.

The Nutnfancy Project

Me love Hamiltons. I was surprised my Hamilton 42mm Field Watch, an auto at that, did so poorly in views. I guess too pricey for guys.

The WRVs are therapeutic. Thanks for diving them and taking the time Nutn.

They have some beautiful colors. Would be a fun review.

Haven't bought anything yet, but I've been really into the watch content recently. Thanks for the infotainment. I've got my feelers out for a glycine combat sub (love that it is THIN compared to other dive-looking watches with that sweet rotating bezel). I also wish that some of the GShocks were a bit thinner too. I can't stand when something on my wrist hangs up on jackets or bashes into stuff.

Tim Bone

Same here regarding 5.11. I wish TIMEX would get with the times and upgrade their "Expedition" line.

Jayson Fraser

I’d love an updated Expedition too. I do still think they’re excellent for the price (I have 3), but especially the hands could use a change. I loved the hands on that 5.11.

Bluegill097

Can’t bring myself to do it! I just don’t have a hole in my collection for these guys

Matt

I have the Casio G-Shock Rangeman and I'll never need another watch :-)
