A fun gun review where you'll get a bonus of performance car driving, ocean diving, knife testing, ATVs, and more (all part of the content here)! Then I'll tell you why I still like the Steyr M9/L9 series of pistols. They are underrated and under-discussed still which surprises me. I take this latest generation out and work it on steel and paper. It's the L9A2 MF with a 4.5" barrel. It shows amazing accuracy, reliability, and ergos making it seem on par with the likes of G17, TP9, XDM, M&P, Arex Delta, IWI Masada, and more. Two quirks are discussed but in otherwise a wonderful, fun, lightweight 9mm GTW handgun. Its Gen 2 M9A1 brother still serves duty in the truck.

Been a while since we’ve seen the Vette! It’s cool that you worked it into the review. Some nice footage there. Guess you can really open it up on those Utah highways!

The Nutnfancy Project

Yeah buddy, it's about time it returns. That a remote desert mountain stretch. Long time to get to but one of my fave roads. No cars, perfect turns, road surface is decent. I usually run it at the track this way but once in awhile I'll crank up it up out there.

David Goodridge

Your Vette needs back out on the track. I’m sure this is a great pistol, however my budget is strictly 22’s these days.

Oh man, I know I’m gonna want one of these before the video is even watched. Loved the original Steyer pistol review. TNP is the coolest!

David and Elizabeth

We also like the fact that Steyr didn't put any idiot safety warnings on the gun itself. So many other manufacturers do this. It's like they're insulting our intelligence every time we pick the gun up. And more Vette content, please!!! 🔥🔥🔥 ❤❤

Fun supercut at the end of the vid. Those sights remind me of the architecture in Blade Runner. So cool.

Bernal

This video just reminded me how awesome America can be. We are truly spoiled, the best toys on the planet, because we can! ❤️🇺🇸

Rick Grad

Great music choice for the video, sets a good vibe. I also really liked the audio for the Urban Survival series you did…definitely one of my favorites.

Hold Fast Joe

The Vette insert was awesome, that thing is so fast! The pistol looks great, I wonder if they do a long slide version like 5.25". I do need to add a second pistol to my gear. I used to have a sig226 with the glock19 but the sig always felt weird to me. I couldn't get used to it, so I sold it Crazy, on here for years and only 1 9mm haha! I have ultimate level self control!

Andrettski

Did TD and Last Suspect rip you on your '80's music crankin' some INXS?

Andrettski

Hmmm, maybe a .22 revolver?

Andrettski

I would be more inclined to get my 1st Walther B4 I'd plunk down more cabbage for the Steyr. It does look like it's got a lot going for it. I have the same Vortex 1800 Ranger, good at the range and golf course.

Downtrodden

Great ending! Personally I don’t need an optic for my GTW or home defense but my wife needs readers now and a dot might help her acquire targets faster. So you can say I’m system focused!

Bernal

I’m thinking Canik Rival, because I can swap mags with my SFX. Or, JM 940 Pro. Nutn’s got my wallet smokin’. Dam!🤣

maxmfs

Great video, and the guns are cool and interesting too. Still, it’s so hard to escape the gravitational pull of Glock. The network effects are so great that it’s really hard not to just say go with the known quantity and proven performer. Although, I have modded the heck out of each of mine, so no “Perfection” out of the box.

Todd Strelka

Cool gun. I love the sound of the Corvette at WOT. Brings back great memories. Thanks for the cool PDR video. Oh my gosh! The out-tro at the end was awesome! All of the adventure fun with music!

Sgt Sly

I’ve changed my mind a bit on these sandpaper grips. We switched from M&P9s to Mod2s about six months ago at work. The grip has absolutely shredded my uniforms where it touches. Same thing with my off duty carry, a Hellcat. My undershirts have all developed abrasion wear where I carry. The extra texture definitely adds grip. But I never felt like I had a hard time controlling any of the “low texture” pistols from 10-20 years ago. Just something to consider: for a pistol that is going to be used a lot (and I mean a lot), perhaps that extra texture could be downfall. How a gun shoots is not the *only thing* that we need to think about when buy a pistol. We also need to think about how it fits in the system.

I totally want a 940/930. Good call.

I bought my Steyr L9A1 after your review all those years ago and it's still a Fall and Winter carry gun for me. I've lusted after these new A2 guns for a while, but I've been buying so many mil-surp guns that I've let these sit on my buy list for a long time. My main gripe on the Steyr guns is that they're so hard to find locally. Even if I go to a Steyr dealer, they have to order guns in and don't have any in the store. I'm hoping they grow in popularity like Canik has, they used to be niche and now they're everywhere.

Nathan P Hubsch

On my L9A1, I installed the grip plug, steel guide rod, and put a Talon Grip on it. It's had about 2,000 rounds through it, maybe more because I've had buddies shoot it. I don't recall any malfunctions of any kind. I do remember it's first range session, I brought a 1,000 round case of ammo that I split the cost on with a friend and I put all 500 rounds through it at the range that day. It was less dirty than a 1911 with only 100 rounds through it and had no problems.

The Nutnfancy Project

Nice one. I agree on needing a red dot. I will do more on the pistols b. guys like to see them but for me inside 15 yds they slow me down

The Nutnfancy Project

Thank you Todd. I'm going to doing more of the "TNP branding" music stuff as we go along this summer. Circling back and it's fun.

The Nutnfancy Project

"The grip has absolutely shredded my uniforms where it touches. " I will try to represent this in future reviews. I do carry the Hellcat a lot and I haven't had the issue yet but he Kusiak leather IWB buries in pretty deep with a leather protector next to shirt. https://tinyurl.com/y36haop3

The Nutnfancy Project

All true Nathan. They are a rare breed and I just don't get why. Gun stores should order up a few to have on hand, show guys. They're cost effective and awesome. Heck even Gunnies doesn't carry them.

Nathan P Hubsch

I go in and they have the AUG and one of their bolt guns, but none of the handguns. I think it just needs to make its way into a good action movie. Everybody knows the Steyr AUG from Die Hard and Walking Dead. If only John Wick had used one... would have made more sense than a 1911.

Andrettski

I figured they still watch your vids even if they aren't participating. I always tell the young-ins when they make fun of our music that the '80's decade was the best.

Joseph

Touching on: Would you go with an M size or L size. Review the G19X/G45!!!!!!!! Because it’s kinda an interesting variation being the longer grip shorter slide. A lot of guys run them with Comps, I’m wondering how reliable that is, but making mine a suppressor host, shorter Barrel, less sticking out. Supposedly with a comp to reduce recoil and the lighter slide, it cycles faster. With a Reddot, sight radius really isn’t factor to worry about

Matthew Larson

I agree with the others here, it was great seeing the Corvette cameo, and I loved the intro/outro stuff! The Steyr pistol series has always intrigued me, but I don't really have a 1st cool use for it. Definitely a dark horse candidate in the market. Maybe someday I'll get one cuz they look cool and run well, and it would be fun to get confused looks talking about my "M9A2".

Timothy T.

Hey off topic but i trust you guys for advice- I’m looking for a watch and i don’t know jack- but i want something small and sleek that i can forget im even wearing but always have the time when I need it… any good ideas?

Zack Harris

Pistol was a little to sci-fi for me but Music montage was nice touch, agree shows range and nature of channel.

Brievet

Thank you for reviewing this updated version! I am glad to hear about all of the positives and will be adding one to the collection. Enjoyed the footage and the tunes!

Plumber Angelo

Sweet update! Definitely a cool looking pistol!

Daniel Herb

Cool pistol Nutn, I also way to through some vett into the video!

Bluegill097

I definitely thought this was gonna be a review done on the hood of the vett in some parking lot! lol cant go wrong with the classic table top though

Foxhound

Loved the INXS outro!
