They say it's a big watch. We not really. I'll break out the Invicta Sea Hunter for comparison and that will put the Citizen Professional Dive BJ8050 watch into perspective. There was a reason I had criticized this Citizen watch before getting one on loan for review; I had mentioned it in several WRVs in fact. But seeing and DIVING it in person changed things a big for me. For instance the hand set perfect as is the rubber strap. See the review to see the Professional Diver doing what it's designed for: diving.

This is no dainty EDC watch designed to stay topwater; it's a serious water watch for dudes wanting that statement on their wrist...and that capability too I guess.  If not any other reason, watch the vid to see me to an about face on an item watch I'd previously hated.  It's rare!

I Was Wrong on the Citizen Professional Dive watch

They say it's a big watch. We not really. I'll break out the Invicta Sea Hunter for comparison and that will put the Citizen Professional Dive BJ8050 ("blow job") watch into perspective. There was a reason I had criticized this Citizen watch before getting one on loan for review; I had mentioned it in several WRVs in fact. But seeing and DIVING it in person changed things a big for me. For instance the hand set perfect as is the rubber strap. Some of those Citizen diver models "blow". 😆🤭 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For us, the disproportionately goofy overall aesthetic makes it a no-go. Fun review, Nutn! We really enjoyed this one. 🤘👍

Have to admit the Citizen is better than I thought to But, I really want a Invicta Sea Hunter now. It's so insane it's a must have.

It's not the size of it, it's the motion of dial...

Very pretty coin! Those watches are huge haha I like the eco drives! My wife got me one last year, it's great, super accurate. I've had watches I need to adjust the time every month or two but the eco she got me I set she left it. Has a date but so tiny I need a scope to read it so I have never adjusted that either since I got it a year ago. Ecos are great

Off topic sorta since you showed off a coin. Doug Casey is an international traveler and a physical PM advocate. He said the 1 ounce coins get attention. You'll pay duty taxes if not just have them confiscated. Usually not, but it gets attention. If you buy British sovs or 20 franc pieces those are about quarter ounce gold and size of common currency. Plus they don't have gold and purity stamped on them. They blend so you'll have a much easier time slipping past an officer and x-ray scanning your bags as they just look like regular coins. Thought I'd throw that out there. I think it's a good tip to keep in mind for those inclined.

Hello D&E! Thanks for the nice words. It was a fun WRV, I really enjoyed diving and seeing the light on this goofy watch

The Nutnfancy Project

The Sea Hunter IS a must have, I just love everything about them. They are hard core dive watches too!

The Nutnfancy Project

Very good information Joe and I didn't know any of that. I'll look into the British Sovs; it's good to have sub 1 ounce silver too for bartering

Hold Fast Joe

Gold isn't very good for barter since it's worth too much. Good silver barter coinage is pre 1965 US dimes and quarters. You could include half dollars but since no one uses halves today might be better to stick with dimes and quarters for your avg cop to see and ignore. Pre 65s are 90% silver so you'll have that value for barter and the grey man blend for the uninitiated. Oh duh, guess you basically said that much more elegantly than I did. Oh well, for those who didn't know they can use this info to look it up if they're curious

I see the standard citizen professional diver and usually just keep scanning. This model is interesting and I am a sucker for the allusion of dial depth. I’m also looking at a new Phoibos so maybe not this time around.

Not a diver guy, but wanted say kudos to revisit opinion, rare these days, and yes thanks for the vids and work u do Nutn!

My phone started playing this video in my pocket by accident. I was right in front of my mother-in-law and the "BJ" thing is literally playing and I'm sure that's all she heard. LOL. The only time that Nutn' goes on a BJ rant , and it's right in front of my mother-in-law. I'm dead. LMAO.

Jayson Fraser

This kind of stuff is why I love Nutnfancy WRVs. That in turn is why I love watches. So thanks Nutn! But also…thanks a lot! Haha

Does anyone here have a suggestion for a budget watch to wear to a wedding?

Logan Holmberg

Yeah that's not for me. 😅 My grandmother did recently give me some money from my grandfather's will and I picked up the Canadian snowbirds version of the Citizen PROMASTER SKYHAWK A-T. I can't wait for it to show up. I love my Nighthawk and solar watches so I think it will be a great watch to remember my grandfather with. He wasn't an aviator (my other grandfather served in the RCAF as a gunner) but he was the toughest man I ever met and a craftsman at everything he did with his hands.

Hey Queen Elizabeth is a great lady. 😅 She served in the army? mechanics core in ww2 fixing vehicles. Until she got older I believe she still worked on her own landrover when she had time. I know English royalty isn't popular with a lot of people but if you read up on her history she's done some great things.
