As promised, we are getting back into airguns here in TNP!  Shown over a decade ago in the Project, we have had a start in the airgun world and a few reviews have posted. But now it's time to get serious.

This video will be the Philosophy of Use on such guns with be referenced in the upcoming Nutnfancy airgun reviews.

Covered here in entertaining style: advantages/disadvantages of airguns, legalities, power levels, vs firearms, ranges, scopes, types of airguns, quality, value, perfecting the hobby, self defense uses, and much more. Shown will be a few high value examples kicking off the reviews.

Time will go quick as usual and we'll have fun. As we travel down the airgun road together you may find you're as passionate about them as I am.

Nice I have wondered when this would be back, I also wonder is you do any archery?

Jonathan-James

Sweet, I was just thinking about airgun stuff and here comes a Nutn Vid!

Elijah Ballard

Awesome! Love my gamo .177 air rifle. Very powerful!

Ryan Jones

It seems like most gun guys stay away from airgun content and a lot of gun guys look down on them. I am glad to see you are moving in that direction. I have a sizable collection of replica type air piatols especially from the 90s when I was a teenager and they were all I could get past my mother. Now I have an interest in some of these newer generation of airguns. It will be interesting to see your take.

Ruben Lopez

Hey Nutn! Haven't stopped watching tha godfather, Kevin Samuels since your video on him!!! Thanks! His stuff is Golden!

Zack Harris

Thanks for the flash back to my youth. 1980s Benjamin Sheridan bolt action. grandfather installed a Lyman peep for rear sight to make me learn irons. One mean machine!

Austin Nadeau

Interesting that this video dropped today. Last night I was discussing with my wife about getting our elementary school aged son into shooting because he's very curious about my firearms and we thought out a BB gun or air rifle to teach him safety and the principles of shooting. Great timing for sure.

Joel Zera

Badass! I didn't know there was such a variety in airguns.

Michael Pau

Very cool, I like my guns plenty, but do kind of want a higher power air rifle at some point. Glad to hear input from you as your reviews of guns I had/still have, have been pretty spot on in regards to wether they're good or not. Thank you for still making videos been watching for 3 or 4 years now and binge watched 90% of your videos haha.

Todd Strelka

This is fascinating! Glad we have some air rifles. I need to get the dust off of them and go shooting to see how accurate they are. Never was able to catch the raccoons that passed through my property. Thankfully they didn't stay and tear up my house, RV, or sheds. Not sure a 22 cal pump action air rifle could take out a raccoon. In our county, it's illegal to relocate raccoons if they are trapped. They must be killed.

Matthew Sinn

Nice surprise! Great video. I've been entertaining the idea of a P365 air pistol for training for a while, and it's great to get some solid POU information ahead of time. I used the link above - turns out it's a good time too as it's on sale $20 off today.

Matt D

Great to see airgun content here and looking forward to more. I haven't seen any woodchucks but we do have an iguana problem here in Florida. Those H&N baracuda match 21.14gr are indeed good hunting pellets and are my go-to. They hit hard!

whiskey papa

Thanks Nutn, your enthusiasm made me smile and laugh. This was a fun vid. Guess I need an airgun.

Ryan Barber

Man, this is great stuff. I have been looking at the FX impact m3 hard for like 6 months. Just a hard bill to swallow, about 3k once you get the gun, scope, and compressor.

Rob Miller

9 min in and had to pop out to tell u I am super excited about this content. Well done. Back to video! Later!

Moe Mansour

We used to do little army man set-ups like this. So much fun to shoot with your pellet gun! Especially in the snow where you can make giant dioramas. We also used to play tag with our bb guns. One pump max rule was always in play. Unless someone was pissing you off. NOT recommended! 😂😬

watchman5

I'm so excited about this new category you're exploring. I've always wanted to know more about Airguns and what the possibilities are for POU>

John Foley

Check out the FX Dreamtac, 85% of the functionality of the FX Impact for $1000 less. You can spend that $1000 on the scuba tank and HPA booster or HPA Compressor. Super happy with mine, lots and lots of backyard ( restricted state ) fun. The Hugget moderator makes it whisper quiet. Easily capable of ragged hole groups at 50 yards. Thanks for the video, looking forward to the next.

The Nutnfancy Project

Hello Michael! Thanks for the support and glad my reviews have helped you out. Watch the Airgun reviews and pick which one is good for you. Chances are you will want more. I'll start off with the some affordable options as shown here.

The Nutnfancy Project

Interesting on the racoons, I didn't know that. You'll need like 20 FPE or more for an airgun kill on them. The Avenger PCP I show here will do it no problem out to 40 yds.

The Nutnfancy Project

Nice! I love it when my timing is good. I have the P365 BB gun and it's pretty slick btw.

The Nutnfancy Project

WP! Thanks for weighing in. I can do fun vids when I'm stoked on the subject ;-)

Todd Strelka

Yeah, I asked an animal control officer and they said if the raccoons are trapped and released, they will come back to the valley where the food is and they'll avoid the traps the next time. They're smart.

Hold Fast Joe

These high pressure air pellet rifles are frequently seen at my club. The triggers are lighter than my computer mouse click. They're very cool. The guys will usually grab used shotgun shells and lay them on the top of a target stand at various ranges. Basically like aiming for a quarter with zero feedback if you miss so quite challenging. Pretty neat

Rob Miller

What a xlnt surprise. This may be my favorite most exciting video you have done in the last year. Yes, its that good. Not my first air gun but my first love was the Sheridan silver streak in the late 70’s. Actually picked up another one (mint) at a swap meet last year.

Jacob Leage

I used to have rats in the hen house. Benjamin Prod, Hawke AO scope, eBay DIY night vision, Buck-Rail suppressor, JSB Hades and a couple game cams. 50+ kills in 2022, brain shots only at 20 yards. Only problem is I’m running low on targets.

The Nutnfancy Project

Yep the FX M3 is xlnt. It's a complicated expensive PCP but you do get what you pay for. I watched some Aussie guys tearing up pigeons with it to 100 meters.

The Nutnfancy Project

Great story MM, I didn't want to say it in the vids but we played guns with pump Crosmans, I had a pellet stick in my neck

Brad Fegan

Hell ya, that's freaking awesome. You had me sold on the Tommy gun. Most definitely continue. Haven't shot air guns since I was a kid.

12345

I have been keeping an eye on the repeating air rifles for a while now. I think they would be great for a survival or SHTF POU once they get up to a 22lr. Once they have a pump/springer that can shoot a ~40 gr projectile close to 1000 FPS, I will go all in.

Sootch00

Awesome! I learned my marksmanship skills with a break action air rifle. Big fan of pellet rifles and excited about this series! So many uses and options. Thanks Brother

TNSheep

FX3 brother. Airguns with 22lr speeds/ballistics.

TNSheep

The pressures they are using to get the 40g's to 1000+ is way more than you're going to pump.

TNSheep

I think you're talking about Matt Dubber. He's from south africa. I spent 2 days shooting with him here a little while back. Amazing shot, amazing knowledge and just excellent to be around. He's got some video's up on his channel from when he was here. 200 yards was 0 issues for the FX3. Airarmshuntingsa is his youtube.

12345

I meant sub 1000 but close to it. Would that pressure be possible with a PCP?

Tygre

Chief A.J. mods on your Red Ryder are a must!

Brian Driver

.22 air rifles are a lot of fun. And gives you the ability to shoot practically anywhere.

jeff sikora

I got back into airguns around 2009. First was an Izmash side lever, then a Crosman break barrel, then PCP. I got into PCP when I was at Cabelas bargain cave and the Benjamin high pressure pump was $55, so I then needed a rifle for it. The Benjamin Marauder was first, its super accurate, quiet, and heavy enough that you can watch the pellet fly to the target. Great trigger too. Then it was a Maximus Hunter, very light and accurate. I have two Crosman 2240s, they are a modders dream and run on CO2 cartridges. But ideally, PCP is the way to go. Thanks for shining some light on airgunning!

Curran Carini

I had a gamo varmit Hunter 1200fps, it was loud. It had a supersonic crack sound. I regret selling it to this day, had many many fun adventures with that air rifle. I would test my kit and hike in the woods with that rifle in lu of an actual firearm

Duncan Wood

I like pneumatic powered for target and small game. The high powered ones are cool, but I feel that crossbows make a lot more sense for medium to big game. Unless we are talking dangerous game were you need quick follow up shots. Summary, 👍 on airguns and crossbows please 🙏. Keep up this incredible 👏 content! 🔥

Jeremy Hicks

I just finally had time to watch this. YES!!!! I am very excited for this content. I was very into Airsoft back in the day. I still would love to do it, but I just never have the time anymore. I picked up a Seneca Aspen PCP about a year ago. That thing is so awesome. I did a short little one night backpacking trip with a shooting buddy and brought out a little 2 inch gong. He thought I was overhyping the insane accuracy, but the gong turned to the side and we were nailing the 1/2 side unsupported at about 20ish yards. He wants one now. I need to pick up a pistol for my war on the rats that have infiltrated the chicken coop. I am very excited for the new content, and I love that the project has a large scope of focus instead of just guns. FYI, check out Utah Airguns. They are an awesome store/range that I want to check out some day. Keep it up, Nutn.

TNSheep

I doubt it. I was filling tanks for the FX to 3,000 + psi. I didn't check what they were dialing in on the rifles, but it wasn't a little puff. That and you're using a very high end air compressor to get that much pressure/volume in the tanks. Like scubadiving levels of pressure. If you looked more at something like tedsholdover where he's shooting far far far lower pressures, its fantastic. And that rig that ted shoots is way cheaper, but you're not doing 40grain 22 at 1000+fps. He's shooting way way way slower and lighter pellets.

Cory C

A part of my pou regarding air guns is a bug “in” game getter. I wouldn’t bug out with one due to size and weight constraints considering I’d rather pack an actual firearm for that application. However, if shtf and ammo manufacturers aren’t operating, I could rely on a .22 air gun for small game and conserve firearm ammo. This coupled with the fact that thousands of pellets can be stock piled for cheap means I won’t have to dip in to powder burning ammo for food unless I’m hunting big things, or defending from 2 legged predators. I’d like to your opinion and n this pou application.

Tim Bone

Could have used a .22 air-rifle during the riots in Chicago in the summer of 2020! A long-reach "less-than-lethal" option (backed up by serious firepower & shielding) was desperately needed. May need this kit again if the radical-left doesn't get their way in November.

Dawson Rabb

I love the idea of air rifles because they are a zero emission rifle. The earth is getting warmer from all of the burned propellant from nutn’s shooting reviews.

Michael McAtee

I bet it was a cat or something that attacked doodle haha

12345

So your basically saying, in terms of power air guns can not get much better than they are now?

Paul Griech

i enjoyed that a i have a few air guns too shoot the stray cats in the ass! it’s not about killing em it’s about letting them know to stay the f out of my yard! that Thompson auto has me interested

maxmfs

Hah! Fellow R9 aficionado in the house! I have one in .22 and love it! As soon as you pulled it out, I had to stop and chime in. I’m onboard! Thanks for another great video, and for all you do for the channel.

TNSheep

Oh they are gonna get way better. I know that FX is trying to push those limits harder and harder.

Patrick Richards

“Nutnfancy, you Magnificent Bastard!” Haha! Made me laugh

Racing Psychosis

Heck I'm so old I used a Daisey Lever Action BBgun.

ChristmasCameEarly

I’ve got a gamo bone collector bull whisper I’d be willing to loan out

William H

I'm watching a video on airguns

Charles A. Higgins

I have a Gen 2 Benjamin Marauder in 177 and another in 25. I also have a Diana 48 in 22. They are great for small game and pest control.

Vito S

Nutn, I love TNP, but I ain't watching air gun videos. LOL

BadgerTails

Cool, over 40 years ago the Daisy 880 was how we learned trigger control better. The Gamo Whisper .22 today is incredible. Great works, keep it up!

Downtrodden

The most interesting POU I’ve seen online is Iguana hunting on the Florida canals. I have a Crossman 760 for indoor target fun but we are now doing more Airsoft.

Chris Marchi

Nutnfancy you magnificent bastard, I saw your video!

Lorenzo

Air gun reviews!

NoRedline

Excited about this vid!!! Love it, love it, love it!!

Zachary

Great review

Stan White

Love it! I have been thinking about getting back into airguns and this has added the extra kick I needed to do it

Christopher B.

Funny you should mention England... and I'm just watching this now, moments after finding out the Queen has died. The Reptile King Charles has assumed the throne. Hey Nutn', if I get the smaller 100 Cu In tank will I regret not getting the larger 74 Cu Ft tank with the Jubilee valve? I'm on the fence because I live in a small apartment and the wife is gonna be pissed if she finds that big ass tank in the closet.

JDCoy

The owners of the White Elephant stores in Spokane closed both stores. Super sad.

Sushytacos

Yyyeeeesss!! I love that you're adding airgun content!

Matthew Kale

Could someone give a quick rundown of pro/con of .22 v .25 cal?

Joey

Greta content! Keep it coming!

Jesse (Sphinx)

Enjoyed...first gun was a .177 Benjamin handpump that I still have. Also have a Sig made P226 C02 in .177. They are fun! Really eyeballing the grease gun and the luger for fun, and have wanted a more powerful one for a while. Will check out the lists!

Lance Miller

Amazing how there are bottle guns out there that can shoot sub-moa slugs at over 200 yds now. Gone are the days of .177 cal, I have a silenced FX in .35 cal I hunt hogs with. I have well over four figures in it now and I so hope the ATF leaves us alone... BTW, you left 'Utah Air Guns" out of your list.. This is a must visit website..!!!

Joe pellegrin

Nutn I watch alot on you tube my handle is beatle bassmaniac this is My first comment on patreon. I did have someone on a ppk video the new reply to my comment claiming to be u I didn't answer cuz I wasn't sure claiming I won something I thought it might not right lol 😅
