I've never been a Bersa fan. I've always viewed them as a poor man's Walther.

Cyborg009

I think the Bersa looks fine but I own 2 P88s.

It's enjoyable to watch you and TD have slightly different opinions, Nutn. Always enjoy tabletops with you both!

I wouldn’t say that it’s butt ugly, but I agree that the controls are funky and the pic rail looks out of place. At some point I would like to get a heavier gun. The more I see that model 92, the more I like it.

I carried a Thunder 380 CC early on because it was inexpensive and compact. When the metal of the slide started to deform under normal use after about 500 rounds practicing, I decided never to own a Bersa again. Cheap metallurgy to meet a price point does not a good gun make.

Had the DP51 for a while and still have and carry the LionHeart LH9. Ironically few months after I got it you did the vid which was interesting I did the drop test not so gingerly. Not super as you showed but in D.A.P mode and a solid holster it’s not needed. Have about 720 ish rounds through it with random Random hollow points from all time periods (black talon, silver tips +p+ from underwood. Along with reman brass, aluminum and steel case and never had a issue. The BERSA TPR is Interesting as it ticks all the same boxes but eliminates the odd trigger system and the cost. Nonetheless sweet review. Stay the corse.

Fun review. I wouldn't buy one unless I had a special connection to Argentina. Seems like this was tested a while ago. Looks like one of the indoor ranges was The Gun Vault which is more a Bentley and Lamborghini car dealer.

I do love the aluminum frame of my thunder 380. the 9 is not a handsom design for sure. from the video, it looks better in hand when the grip is hidden but 9mm is such competitive market... I'm sure some guys will love the way it looks and it's all good.

Ian

seeing all those aluminum framed 9s on table top the day S&W drops their metal framed M&P, seems serendipitous, and I like it.

Clint Raby

I love the Mom dragging her daughter into the indoor range.

I am a sucker for DA/SA hammer fired pistols and I don't mind the looks of the thunder 9 but I totally agree with you on the 92. I still need to add a 92 to my collection.

Love when doodle can tag along!

Luke warm myself. Do like their .380 though.

This was my first handgun purchase at 23. I bought it in 40 for $300. It served me well and helped to get me started. I went in to my lgs for a range trip and on a whim took them up on the rental deal they had that day. Rented a m&p9, Glock 19, and a xd9 and a box of their ammo. Ran that box through the three to give me an impression (mind you I wasn’t actively shopping). When finished, I picked up the Bersa and I remember saying audibly, “shit.” Within a week, I had traded it in for the m&p. Still wish I had kept it rather than traded it in, but it was a great first handgun. I’ve since bought another da/sa gun, and guess what I bought, a used Beretta 92.

Fugly and way outdated. No front serrations?? Come on man. Price is silly too. We need a full rundown on the all new M&P Metal Nutn. Looks mighty handsome to me.

I like this gun a lot. Don't understand why people knock it on it's looks. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I have one I could let go. I don't agree with people buying them just so they can sell them on E-bay for twice the price. So, I'll let it go for what I paid for it. Only because you're a triple owl and I know you'll love and cherish it. Not turn around and E-bay it.

my knowledge of guns don't really pre-date 2012 when i bought my first gun pawn shop glock 26 which i sold i didn't like, point is i missed years of great guns i hear about all the time

That poor girl at the range 😆😯😆

It’s crazy how we wax poetic about 90’s handguns. I’m guilty. On range trips, my teenage son will also reach past the modern stuff for the old chunky vintage DA/SA iron. It’s nostalgic for me but I’m guessing it has something to do with real metal, exposed hammer, and just a “richer” feel than the polymer, striker fired handguns. I’m a bad father for not introducing him to revolvers but I will soon and am curious if he shows as much enthusiasm.

Don't cry for me Argentina! You missed playing a classic Madonna song in the intro.

Chase Ferguson

Nutn!!! Your ugly mug was so terrifying that little girl wouldn’t step foot inside!

Sean

Way to drag a kid into the gun range who is clearly scared of the noise…parenting fail. Another cool review, thanks Nutn!

I had a bersa .380 My first pistol. It got sold within a year. The sound of the magazine clanking around, and the trigger was enough to make me trade it off. Good news was it got traded on a Colt Government Mark IV, series 80 .380. Try to buy one of those today....and they are awesome. I have sold nothing since. I would have been wiser to take fewer boating trips though..

Will you ever bring that 3 panel hat design back? I’d love one

Paul Busch

My daughter just loves her Thunder Plus .380. She loves the Controls placement, the way they work and especially the magazine disconnect because she can load up and leave Gun on night stand with mag slightly out. And in an instant, shove it in and fire
