This airgun is awesome and it's a good one to put in the show. It represents state of the art development in PCPs. The FX Crown Mk II completed my testing over two weeks of hard shooting and impressed me in every respect. This is a HIGH power top end air rifle that you'll learn about here. I review this to perhaps save you some money: instead of buying several lower end guns and eventually ending up with THIS one, maybe get a "Crown" right off the bat. You will shoot it a lot more than any AR15 you own and it will provide great enjoyment.

I'll show lots of in field and range testing with the FX Crown Mk 2. It was an enjoyable testing process and the gun is fun to shoot. This version incorporates improvements that are covered and the company constantly improves their guns (just like KTM motorcycles). This Crown Mk II model has my preferred RIFLE setup and produces plenty of power for pest and plastic boat killing (shown!). It includes a moderator and it's quiet. I was pushing out about 50 ft lbs with my chosen 26.6 gr diablo pellet. It's also a regulated airgun with a 28% larger plenum: expect more consistent velocity and lower SDs. It has an easy way to adjust hammer spring tension for power adjustments (explained). The also xlnt FX Impact M3 series is discussed; it has 2 regulators, more power, more versatility (slug shooting). That also is a rec'd gun but more expensive.

You might be impressed with the Crown's amazing accuracy also. It is the choice of airgun benchrest competitors. Many targets are shown including my cool new airgun/shepard hook steel targets I made. In the feature length ARV (airgun review video), you'll see this expensive Crown Mk 2 DOES represent value and you'll probably want one. Please use these links below so I can pay this thing off!

[[[Add: The STX barrel system is not rifled the entire length, just at the end. FX has discovered this works better.  It is supremely accurate and fouls less. My regulator pressure shown is not indicative of where it was tested at: 160 BAR. I chose a 600mm barrel in order to get more velocity. Vid incorrectly lists it as 700mm barrel btw. A longer barrel can produce more power at a lower pressure.]]

Competition Paintball guns were well into the $2,000 range... in 1998. You gotta pay to have the cool stuff

Rick Grad

Good for guys suffering from AR burnout. Something new and cool to geek out over.

Zac

Thanks for the review, Nutn. This is definitely a quality piece, I think .25 cal is a solid choice.

Todd Strelka

Very cool. I've seen some of the rat videos on YouTube where an air gun like this took them out.

Robert Avery

Pretty cool. Had no clue air guns could cost that much.

Joshua Pulliam

Not in the air gun market. But I want to watch this just because there is an A-10 in the thumbnail!!! We had two of them fly right over our heads on their wingtips this summer when we were swimming at Table Rock Lake! One of the coolest things I’ve ever seen!

Mike

Not interested and I would NEVER spend $2,000 on a BB gun.

jason quillin

I would love to see a venture into the slug world. It's the next evolution of airguns. FX and several other companies are pushing the tech for that. Being able to push a heavier chunk of lead with better BC. Some of the .22 cal airguns are getting 22lr like performance.. my .30 AGT Vulcan 3 pushes 54gr slugs @ 950fps for 108fpe...worth checking out IV8888, 22plinkster, Ted's holdover, and AirArmsHuntingSA recently did a YouTube collaboration of 22lr vs AirGun. Lol sorry to name drop other YouTubers channels here but seeing TNP bringing these airguns to table top gets me excited. These high end airgun tuneability is basically the equivalent to what some reloaders do in powder burning world. Instead of developing a load for your rifle, you tweak a screw on the regulator or hammer spring to get that desired velocity a projectile performs at.

robert mccrory

Are you on Telegram and are you giving away prizes?

Ryan Barber

Fantastic!! I bought the impact m3 in 30 cal 700mm barrel. I stick it on a tripod and is so much fun to shoot. Will start playing with slugs in it soon.

Hold Fast Joe

Pretty sure all of that stuff is a scam. I wouldn't risk it

Douglas Carr

I like the way you suggest getting a high end airgun to start out with. So many times I've started out with something less, and end up buying the more expensive one in the end. Good content!

Ryan Barber

Man you are so right about the loaded pellet indicator. So many times I forget if I loaded one in or not. And would love to see you look into slugs, I always learn something from you and that’s an area I want to explore with my impact.

The Nutnfancy Project

Thanks. Yes it might be better just to get this one or the Impact M3 and call it good. Thanks Doug!

The Nutnfancy Project

I'll do some slug shooting with the Crown and M3 and we'll see what's up. The Javelins should throw 1 MOA to 100 yds no problem and group well. Slugs' higher BC bucks the wind more too.

The Nutnfancy Project

I do watch AirArmsHuntingSA and like him a lot; they others I do not watch. SA is for sure into the tech; he's a tech collaborator with FX and Javelin and knows his stuff. I have tuned this Crown for pellets b. much past 50 I shoot the Ruger 10/22 suppressed; dominates these airguns at about 125 ft lbs energy. BUT the quietness and cheapness of airguns still attracts me, so fun!

jason quillin

Nutn, I a few tins of .25 JSB, Fx and H&N slugs that don't shoot great of my Kalibrgun Cricket I wouldn't mind donatingto the channel. Choked barrels don't always like slugs but worth a try. However that gun will typically shut 1/2" or better @ 50yds with jsb exact 25 and 34gr. Side note got #0351 of Boker AK74 xxl

DuginIN

Would 25 cal. work on raccoon, possum, groundhog?

Mike

The Crosman 760B Pumpmaster, .177 cal is perfectly priced.

Downtrodden

I’m fascinated by this rabbit hole. I can see that if you’re into precision shooting, this is the way to go. Wish I had a critter problem! I’m lucky to still be getting out and shooting 22lr regularly. My boys have really taken to airsoft so that’s my excuse to buy them tactical gear and train. If they show any interest in precision shooting, an air rifle will be the best starting option.

Mike

That avenger is an ugly looking gun.

Dean

You'll shoot your eye out!!!

TNSheep

FX Crown is really good. And the best part about airguns, can's on them are not regulated. Though, dont put an airgun can on a powdered rifle, they will explode.

JHolmes2070

These high end air non-guns are a waste of time and money.

The Nutnfancy Project

Airguns are awesome and generally a cheap way to keep shooting. I love how you got your boys into airsoft, also a great hobby. I have ran with airsoft and paintball guys and they are surprisingly tactically squared away. Thanks DT for being here.
