Sean and I arrive at this remote location via our motos.  I found this cool "Ponderosa" location while scouting for such on my KTM 1190. Here we have lots of standing dead wood to work on. It's located in the epic desert mountains.

Then we get busy what turns out to be a surprisingly competent fixed blade: The JeoTac, made in Spain. It presents like a very high quality knife costing way more than its humble pricing. Just check out that sheath for instance.

Then I institute what might be a new way to infield test these knives: ratings on splitting, battening, chopping, shaving/planing, food/meat prep, and even throwing (!). Not this 6.7" Bushcraft No37 is meant as a camp knife so some tasks might be a reach.

But all in all, Sean and I come away very impressed with its edge holding (Mova 58 steel), toughness, and throwing capabilities (wth). It is recommended.

I love the in-field reviews! And that looks like a sweet knife.

Cool looking blade Nutn, wish I could grab one but I’m paying on a Rifle lol. I did however just get back from Tennessee no too long ago, picked up a sweet Cold Steel srk-c, great fixed blade , almost like it as much as it’s big brother. Thanks for the reviews Nutn as always!

Thanks for the review Sean and Nutn! The Ponderosa location looks amazing

I love a Friday review to kick off the weekend. Cool knife, cool music, and cool to have a crew member involved. Thanks for getting out there Sean.

That's a good looking clip point blade. I like it.

Hello Tony! You can never go wrong with the SRK and the compact is sick. Todd Strelka here is a big fan also

I remember seeing these on Amazon when I was shopping for my first “real” fixed blade. They looked pretty handsome back then but ended up going with a Mora Bushcraft model in stainless steel that now rides in my DSK.

Got the no18, Nice little carving knife. For splitting I use a carpenter axe. Here in Oregon a rust resistant steel is ideal .......... you will forget to oil your blade
