I’ve got 2 Avi-8 watches. They’re great and very fun, unique watches. I ordered one on Amazon after it had been discontinued. It seemed like a great price, and they only had a couple left. When I got it, the caseback was loose and a bit scratched. I figure it was returned by somebody. (I guess I should learn about Amazon deals that seem too good to be true). I put it back together and it’s a great watch otherwise. The other one I own came straight from Avi-8 and had no such problems. The green version of the one reviewed here was actually what drew me in to their website, though I chose another one. A ton of their designs look great.

I love those watches. I can buy AVI-8 watch faces for my Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic through the Facer app, but it's not the same as the real watch.

That's a sweet looking piece! I love the watch content! Please keep it up. Nutn, do you let your patrons send in watches for hands mods? I have a slightly older Alpina Startimer Chrono with those darned sliver hands outlined in black. It would be great to have them painted white to be able to pick them out easier without me getting confused with the hands on the subdials! Aside from the hands, I love everything else about the watch. I was turned onto the brand by you and I've picked up two Alpinas, this far. Good deals on the used market!

Great review nutn as always. I have that same B-25 "Betty's Dream" model! The history of the 345th Bomb Group "Air Apaches" and other skip bombing groups is a very fascinating part of WWII. The 8th AAF in England gets alot of the (well deserved) glory and attention but the 5th AAF in the southwest pacific theater played a large part in winning the war.

I love these watches but i don't own any. I think I've found my groove in solar watches so I've been divesting myself of anything that's not. I just picked a nice deal on a slightly used Gshock GST-B300-1A. IF AVI8 did solar though my next watch probably would be one instead of the CITIZEN PROMASTER LAND AT6080-53 that I've been eyeing up for a while now....couldn't pass up the deal on the gshock though.😅
