Hell yeah, looking forward to this one! 👌

ThePreparedPatriarch

I can't wait to get home from work, kick back and watch this review. You the best, Nutn!

The Nutnfancy Project

Thanks dude, it's time for some AK action again in the Project. I have several more I'm working on too.

Ben H.

Good quick review. Didn't seem like anything new. It was a good call that you didn't give it anymore trigger time in favor of other projects. That PSA beats it by far. Glad to have made the elite donor list. I've been watching since 07-08. I'm happy to support you. All the content, trust and truth you have uploaded is well worth it!

Andrettski

AN AK GRV!! I feel like Steve Martin in the movie 'The Jerk' when he said, "THE NEW PHONEBOOK'S HERE, THE NEW PHONEBOOK'S HERE"

Todd Strelka

I love the AK content. My friend has one.

Hold Fast Joe

Excellent review, I didn't realize the moe furniture from PSA extended like that!! Thanks for review! Of the 50 guys I'm around and have seen their gear, one has an SKS, and one other has an AK. The SKS is his go to choice, the AK guy is just holding it for fun, it has never been fired. 49 of 50 use ARs

Guy Actual

As a proud owner of one of these AK103s purchased when they came to my local gun store, I can say that they are very good! the barrel may not last like a cold hammered forged barrel, but it is very accurate and out of 500 rounds has never had a malfunction.

Andrettski

For those AK folks out there who may only want a red dot or reflex sight I recommend the 'ATTERO ARMS' mount. Replaces the rear sight leaf, ultra low, light weight and clears the dust cover. They make several different styles for different footprints. I just installed one on my Hellpup pistol and it was super easy.

Austin

Thanks for the review nutn. AKs win the 2nd cool for me for sure, maybe even 1st. SAWC doesn’t seem to be a problem in the situations we see day-to-day across the country. Would you consider reviewing the M77?

Moe Mansour

Girls, where you at? Dang Oktoberfest fest in here! 😆😆

Austin

I would sell your hellpup

Joseph

I went with this gun I had a PSA gen 3 never fired it already sold it to buy this one. I’ve just heard the PSA had issues with the firing pins not sticking out as far after enough time and these were more gassy. I’m wanting to run this gun suppressed, so I decided on the KUSA. PSA’s are good, I just wanted a more exact AK103 and didn’t want to fool with the QC issues of PSA. In hindsight, the PSA was probably the smarter choice at half the price though. Where it gets interesting is the PSA gen 5 with FN barrels. But once you get to that price your not too far from a KUSA if you get a $1,200 deal like I did. $1,500 though? Dude gun is way over priced. Got mine for $1,200 put my order in on the 20th still having heard anything from them. I don’t know if they are really slow or if I’ll never get my order.

Downtrodden

AK’s are so cool! I’m so jealous of you guys who got into the AK game decades ago.

“Milk Man” Matt Moore

About damn time you did more AK videos Nutn! Look forward to watching this when I get home from work. I don’t own a Kalashnikov USA, but I did get an opportunity to handle and shoot one. My initial impressions were high quality & about as close to an AK-103 as we can get in the land of the free.

Trevor V. V.

I have a non-folding KR103. I really like it. It is not a GTW option for me, but rather a fun gun to shoot. Plus, I love the 103 aesthetic; I'm not going to modify it. Reliability with surplus mags is 100%. Accuracy is 4ish MOA (on a good day) with Belom 123's. Price was $1,111.

Ol Retired Fed

AK's MEPH. Sorry, but it's hard enough to keep up with 5.56 platforms. 7.62x39 is just one more caliber to not keep up with. Plus $1500 is out of my range.

Lorenzo

This is awesome! I want to see the Radom Primary Arms review too. Alot. What a coincidence, just today Machine Gun Tours outfitted my PA AK with FDE furniture (black & tan); MG Tours has ak74 ammo in spam cans, fyi. This Radom AK is my first AK and I haven’t even shot it yet. I’m so stoked. Can’t wait to find a place to go light it up!

Clint Raby

Never shot an AK. I've always wanted one just to have but never could dedicate the money to it. Sooo many guns too little money :(

Lorenzo

Machine Gun Tours in Lakewood, CO.

You will hear a lot of of the fanatical AK cultists say that the barrel has to be CHF & chrome lined for durability. The reality is unless you are shooting several thousands of rounds a year it’s not something you ever have to worry about in your lifetime of use. Even if you are one of those very rare people that shoot that much, it’s not that big of a deal to put in a new barrel after having spent many thousands of dollars on ammo. 7.62x39 has relatively low chamber pressure. Button rifling and nitrided barrels will last a long time (I believe these are chrome lined). If it’s accurate & reliable, than you have a winning rifle in my eyes.

Rob Miller

The KR103 is by far the most disappointing gun purchase we ever made. We bought it as a step up from C39V2. It’s not. The C39V2 blows it away in the accuracy department. We have a low serial number so maybe its a lemon. We did extensive testing concrete bench, multiple outings, many brands of ammo, different mags, you name it. It will not group. 5-6 moa.

Rob Miller

We need to send it back. Contacted company, we chatted via email a few times, then they went crickets on us. Maybe because they built a gun that can not out shoot a $200 mosin and they know it!

Joshua Pulliam

Yes! Bring on the AKs!!! I’m one of those dudes that my primary GTW is my AK. And the Microtech Halo! That is a grail knife for me and I will own one some day.

David Spinks

Great review! Ironically I just bought one, waiting for arrival. They had (may still) some with restricted for government and LE roll marking on them that were much cheaper, like $1080 OTD for the side folder.

David Spinks

I'm with you on the C39v2. I have a pistol and a rifle and they are extremely accurate. Some days my rifle gets close to MOA.

Dillon durham

Dude the ak vids are awesome thank you!

Joel Spaulding

I have had such a shit day at work, but then I saw a new Nutn had been posted. AND it’s an AK video! I’ve been watching your channel for well over ten years, and I like all of your content, but AK stuff is my favorite! Thanks for always giving a little something to us AK guys!

DuginIN

I have the Microtech Halo V Urban Camo T/E 1/2015. Bought in March 2015 for $595.00. I understand your enthusiasm. After your GRV on the PSAK47 GEN 3, I purchased the upgraded GF5-E last March. $1100.00. Pisser is I haven’t shot it yet. Always enjoy your videos.

Joseph

Not as free as we’d like but the last safe haven standing. I with I could’ve live in the old west around the turn of the century

Joseph

Very true

Joseph

I just bought one of those as well. The side folding version, mine was $1,200. I ordered on the 20th. Have had nothing but radio silence since they took my money. Like WTF?

Rob Miller

My son and I see the same with the C39V2. Depends on ammo but it shoots nearly every brand in the 2MOA range. We can ping steel at 300 with it no problem. Red dot, irons, or scoped. This KR103 can’t hit steel at 300 reliably with a scope! Were not experts but we’ve both taken Our share of first place finishes in various club matches, so we don’t suck. We reload and can get average rifles to shoot 1 MOA and good off the shelf rifle to 1/2” MOA with simply a trigger upgrade.

Bluegill097

I am definitely one of those guys who always wanted a side folder AK lol. But never committed to one because my Mutant has stayed strong and I missed the boat for the $400 AKs years ago. It just seems so practical to be able to fold it up for storage in some mobile systems, even with the weight. Maybe one day! But not this one since it got a “Hell No” lol

“Milk Man” Matt Moore

Agreed. I’d take living in the 2nd half of the 20th century. Alas, all we can do is try to make it better in the time we live in now. For all of our country’s problems I remain proud to be an American & will do everything within my means to make a better life for my children.

The Nutnfancy Project

Yep. I did not find it to be that accurate also which was disappointing to me. The Century Arms I've recently tested have been a bit better.

The Nutnfancy Project

Oooo, that's not good. They need to support that gun. Wish I'd known that for the review.

The Nutnfancy Project

It is a grail knife, soo wicked cool. Good to hear that Aks are your GTW choice. You'll like the gun content coming up then ;-0

The Nutnfancy Project

LEt us know what kind of accuracy you get, with a scope if possible David. Thanks bro.

The Nutnfancy Project

Yay! So glad to hear that Joel and I'm happy to deliver. I have several more AKs videos coming up also. I have been meaning to add more to the content flow and I was able to get some. One will be a short update on the PSAK47 GF5 in some cool configs (one shown in this GRV btw)

Rob Miller

I actually commented about this problem in a prior video. Another Patreon chimed in & offered to help. I emailed them January 3rd 2022 through June 23rd…then just gave up. Reese Cullinane, Matthew Tilton, and John Cason were all on the email string.

Rob Miller

Found my original post about this problem. From the PSA47 video in March. Fellow Patrion Outrider950 said he knew someone who might help us. If we can figure out whats wrong, I think we can get 1.5 MOA out of this gun. Now its shooting 2 separate alternating round groups. Very weird. Hard to catch unless you have a spotter.

Joshua Pulliam

The stock is the Magpul Zhukov stock. It is pretty awesome. I have it on my AK and it is a huge upgrade over the Warsaw length wooden one.

Adam

AK = Ask Kenny that what it stand for? AK The choice for children warlord army's everywhere! Great video good work but its a pass on AK for me. Might be ok in the 1990s 80s but in 2022 NO thanks sorry

Tim Bone

Fair and honest review! When exactly would you guys say was "the Golden Age" for AK-enthusiasts in America? 🤔

Guy Actual

Mine is not chrome lined, which is just fine for me. Most likely I will not shoot out the barrel on this or any of my rifles, with the exception of my primary AR which sees a few thousand rounds a year. (maybe 7k). I'm really an AR-Guy, including two KS-47's from Palmetto which were a real challenge to get parts for during the 2020-2021 years. My goal was to have a couple of rifles that were the 7.62x39 to meet prepping needs, and to own at least one AK platform just because of 2nd coolness. ARs are amazing for those that prepare as one can get every part as a backup should something fail down the road. The AK is a little different in that the barrel/trunnion are pressed together, which I saw as a failure point regardless of odds. Apologies for the lengthy reply to the thread, I have been away for some time now and these are my first post in what seems like a very long time! I have missed the community and there are some that I need to catch up with.

Guy Actual

To speak to the accuracy, its about a 2.5" gun.

Hold Fast Joe

So... You're saying there's a chance! Woohoo

Joooosh

With Ak's you just got to be smart on what you accessories you run, assuming weight is a concern. I personally would swap out the the 74 style brake with something lighter. An ultimak may weigh less than the steel gas tube (at least they do for zastava rifles) and would allow for a red dot and light . Triangle folding stocks are also lighter and have less parts than a 100 series poly stock. When it comes to Optics, in my option, a small red dot on the ultimak rail or the new primary arms 3x prisms are the best options. Most acogs work great but are expensive and weigh a few oz more than the primary arms 3x prism.

“Milk Man” Matt Moore

Thanks for sharing those details. 2.5” groups is pretty good for an AKM. My best Grouping AK can get consistently 2” groups, but I’m not really a bench rest kinda shooter. I’m one of those weird ones that went AK as my primary and first G2W fighting rifle. I have 5 now and just got my first AR this year a Springfield Saint. The more I shoot ARs the more I like them. My primary and most used rifle is a Meridian Defense “Pestilence” AK (14.5”, ultimak, tac light, Trijicon MRO) which so far this year im at 3.5k rounds (includes a weekend fighting rifle class that I blew through 1k rounds there). I’d love to get out and shoot more, but it’s hard to find time.

“Milk Man” Matt Moore

Also I’ll admit that I think ARs are superior in almost every way. For me AKs win hands down on 2nd cool but that’s just personal taste. I’m not sorry for the choice I made to go AKs first, but wouldn’t recommend that to somebody just getting started today. The value prop of AKs just isn’t there anymore and gets worse every year. $1500 can buy you a really nice quality AR with money to spare on mags and ammo. These days you can get quality brass 223/556 nearly as cheap as imported steel case bimetal 7.62x39, but I’ve been stockpiling AK ammo for years.

Matthew Larson

Another excellent review! I'm very interested in picking up a PSAK with wood furniture, more for novelty than utility, but it's not the highest priority right now. My brother-in-law is VERY into AK's, and thinks he wants something that's imported, but doesn't want to pay those prices. Was hoping this would be a happy medium, but maybe I'll have to pitch the PSA to him again...

Plumber Angelo

Great review Nutn! Love seeing AK content, even if I don’t own one!

Nathan P Hubsch

I'm the guy! AK is my rifle, rifle is fine! Lol, big downside is most accessories for AK's aren't made to be ultra lightweight, so I'm considering just milling my own stuff at this point and selling it. Sitting on about 7,000 rounds of 7.62x39 right now. Need to buy more at some point as my RPD eats it up too. I'd by that plum Palmetto if they were available.

rediius

In my opinion, the window was after the sunset of the Assault Weapons ban in 2003 or so, to either the banning of 7P6 or all Russian ammunition drying up somewhere like 2016 - 2020.

TRJ

Nutnfancy, did you get land in WY or is this a friends private land? My wife and I and considering escaping the east coast and I want land and few people. I just want to get away from population density to shoot and ride off-road moto.

hoplite ⚔️

Love the AK content too. They were prohibited a long time ago here in Canada. So they exotic like.

Tim Bone

You must be one of the AK guys. Seems like that's the consensus. Thanks! 👍🏼

Aaron Carrington

I think my Zastava ZPAP is a pretty accurate AK but the 1.5mm receiver and thicker bbl profile makes it damn heavy. IMHO, the best AKM sold is the PSAK. The weight and price is right.

Chris Kales

Thanks Nutn', I've been keeping an eye on KUSA products and appreciate your take on their new KR103.

Racing Psychosis

Don't know, never have been very interested in them.

Lorenzo

Nutn’, how about that review of the Pioneer Arms Radom Poland AK? Please and thank you, sir!
