I had one. I couldn't it the side of a barn with it. Tried several types of 22lr in it.

Re the perceived lack of enthusiasm for reviews of single-action revolvers, I have to admit I was one of the heretics. For years I wondered why on earth anybody would want a single-action revolver. Then one day a few years ago I woke up one morning and thought "God help me, I think I want a single-action revolver!" Now many hundreds of very happy rounds later through a Super Blackhawk, I'm on the fence between a Wrangler ($$) and saving for a Single-Six Convertible ($$$). Just the sort of video I needed to see! Good to be back viewing the vids of The Project...

Daniel Andrews

I got one for the wife because she really wanted it. Shoots poa. I have a heritage I haven’t tested yet. And now ruger came out with the super wrangler…

Ryan Reese

Yee haw! Merry Christmas Nutn and TNPers!

Brian Driver

Thanks for another great review. This is a great fun gun.

Dylan Campbell

I have a passion for shooting single action revolvers and the .22s u can shoot a lot and not feel so guilty !

Moe Mansour

I freakin' love wheel gun reviews! Or WGRVs as I call them lol

Jayson Fraser

I loved my wrangler. It’s fun to shoot, very high quality for the price, a cool bronze cerakote, and surprisingly accurate. I never grouped it, but shooting slow I would hit an 8” plate at about 50 yards about 8 out of 10 times. I recently sold it in favor of a P17, which fills all the same roles and more. I’ll probably pick up another one when my kids are old enough to learn to shoot handguns.

Brad Fegan

Single action .22 was my very first pistol that I shot when I was young. Had a blast shooting it. Always wanted to try something heavier like .357 or 45 long Colt.

Khem Time

I’ve been debating on getting one of these or a Heritage Rough Rider forever. I’ve never owned a revolver and I’ve been looking for a cheap little handy .22 I can use around the farm. My 10/22 comes in super handy dealing with rats and other critters but it won’t cycle rat shot. One of these would be perfect.

Andrew Baldwin

My wife saw one of these in the blue-purple coloration and for the first time in her life said "I'm going to buy myself a gun." For that alone I love the Ruger Wrangler, and so does she!

Leon Hudson

Got my wife interested in shooting with a new Ruger Wrangler in burnt bronze. It is a fun gun to shoot and good to start with for newbies. Now she understands...

Hold Fast Joe

Cool pistol! I don't know anything about old West things, is it normal for the holster to not cover the trigger? I get it's single action so I guess they didn't care about that back then?

Racing Psychosis

I love this little gun. I've had various people that are not into guns, shoot it, and they always end up having a huge smile on their face after shooting it, and normally they ask what else do you have that I can shoot. VERY economical, no reason not own one.

Carl Bailey

I started my daughter on a 22 single action. She still loves it.

Dawson Rabb

I have the same case bowie in black. It was only a matter of time to see it represented on tabletop!

Andrettski

I knew Nutn would pick the bronze, I got the silver one. Fun plinker and it just slows things down on the range to get a little break from the semi-auto pace. Just sold my 'Bisley Edition' Single Six to a friend who would't stop pestering me. Beautiful revolver but I still get to shoot it.

Todd

One of my favorite pistols that I got from my dad is a 60’s era Colt Frontier Scout in Nickel with polished wood grips. He picked up a hand tooled leather gun belt/holster in Mexico to go with it. I’ll never sell it.

Robert Avery

Hell yeah love this. Please consider doing a review of the ruger super redhawk Alaskan too. .454 casull rocks. Merry Christmas

Micah G

Thanks nutn, perfect timing. Love me some wrangler there just a blast. New shooters love it. Only thing I would say is that I've found that guys that are mostly familiar with only semi-autos get pretty thrown off. Even seen some ad but they knew enough that they were still pointed in a safe direction thankfully. Then I ask them if they've ever seen a John Wayne movie, unsurprisingly, the answer is no.

Racing Psychosis

I also do like and have single actions and also have one in big caliber to hunt whitetail with as well. And if its one Ruger, for me it would be the Blackhawk, even though I love the Vaquero.

Racing Psychosis

Not uncommon, some do, some don't. Many times the you'll have a leather strip piece to hold it in the holster strapped around the hammer, similar to what Galco or Desantis does with the snapped strap for the double actions.

cody white

I’ve handled them but never shot one, the competition is the heritage 22 revolver which has gained a foothold. Yes I like digging out guns like these to teach new shooters cuz ammo cost alot more and I’m just working a blue collar job so if people begin to understand the fundamentals & safety sooner the better.

Harold Galen McPheron

Period correct holsters, back in the 1800's covered the trigger guard, when movies and the fast draw became the norm, the holsters were built with out the trigger covered so your hand could get a faster grip on the gun. As far as the hammer thong, that was a Hollywood invention, the low cut buscadero rigs where the pistol sat low on the leg, when the actors were riding their horses, the pistols kept falling out of the holsters which caused many retakes. So the hammer thong became the norm...

Harold Galen McPheron

NutnFancy, a good single action gunsmith can "turn the barrel" to correct for windage....

david rockwell

The Wrangler is FUN to shoot. A big smile covered my face during a recent shooting session plinking soup cans accompanied by memories of earlier years. The loading/unloading is not onerous given the primary motivation for the outing; relaxation and fun. Thank you for the continued effort and dedication.

Cool color. Was thinking of getting one of these. Hopefully a conservative cancels Trudeau’s hand gun freeze and we can purchase these recreational items again. Hope y’all have a fun time with your friends and family plinking away with these things.

Mardy Stevens

Absolutely love my Wranger…and yes…burnt bronze is the best color 👍

Downtrodden

I talked my wife out of buying the Wrangler when I kept comparing it to the Single Six. All our 22’s are semi auto so we don’t conserve ammo well. I love Case knives and that Bowie is magnificent!

Tyler Dexter

I love my wrangler it is a fun gun.

Paul Griech

i own three of them one for each kid

Dione Kollee

It’s about darn time we saw a single action review 🤠. Solid review of the Ruger single 6. I absolutely agree w/you regarding price point & more importantly teaching the next generation safe weapon handling skills. My old man taught me how to shoot a pistol back in the early 90’s on a single 6. My love for single action revolvers began @ that very moment. You’re definitely going to spend more time reloading but if you love guns & the old west you learn to suck it up. I own several colt peacemakers of various generations & even a double action Colt New Service w/it’s original blueing, 7 1/2 in barrel in 45LC. Not a big fan of the wranglers finish. I’m more of a traditionalist so I went with the Ruger Bearcat. Very similar to the wrangler but more of the single 6 quality finish. Long rant I know lol. Hope to see more single action reviews.

Jesse (Sphinx)

I got mine for $100 at Cabela’s after redeeming some Cabela’s points. Totally love it—stashed away for the kids when they get older. I’m a big wheel gun fan, single and double action, and this thing gets it done as well as any of my $1K+ wheel guns in terms of 1st cool (ok the sights suck—that’s one 1st cool miss). Great review.

Iowa Dave

One of my sons has a Wrangler. It is a fun gun. Nice of Ruger to throw in Cerakoting. It seems like an excellent value.

Steve Feeser

I have a50th anniversary Ruger Black hawk 357. I like it. Fun with magnums and specials!

Kenny Bridges

Really wanna see a review on the Winchester wildcat semi auto 22. Super polymer and I’d like to see how it holds up

JDvsBTC

Yea buddy, hottern’a two dollar pistola I reckon.

Tygre

Big Ironnnnn... Big Iron Nutn there among them had a big iron on his hip

Tygre

Colonel, you need a High Standard Double nine .22.

hoplite ⚔️

Merry Christmas y’all. May the Holy Spirit bless you and yours.

Ruben Rodriguez Jr

Nice for kids but the heritage is much better and cost less
